Thank you so much for the support over all these years.
Update 1.22.2
We figured it was time to fix a couple of outstanding things in Inevitability and bring the game engine and framework up to date so here is an update :)
Even though this game is 6 years old at this point we still would love to hear any bugs you find and fix them! We don't plan on adding more features to Inevitability beyond bug fixes however given enough demand that could always change (or If I just get that itch) ;) Let us know if you run into any issues!
We have been working on other games in the Inevitability universe and if you haven't checked out Operation Zeta yet you should!

Operation Zeta is coming out on the 5th year anniversary of Inevitability.
Hey guys Operation Zeta will be launching on Steam next month on the 5th year Anniversary of the Steam release of Inevitability. Oz has the same cast of characters Inevitability, From the rough space monkeys Oohkin to the slimy space Slugula. All built in our custom made game engine.
In Oz your goal is to hop from rock to rock doing quests and collecting parts for your crashed warship before the enemy destroys the entire warzone with their death laser. Every time you play will feel different as the world is randomly generated and there are tons of scenarios, races and ships to build and explore.
We will go into a closed beta on Steam for our patrons early next month before early access. If you have any questions about OZ feel free to join our discord as ask away! Hope to hear from you soon.
Here is a ship waving hello with its grappling magnet.
Update 1.21 New Race, Two new factions & more
Hey guys sorry for the delay in the update we have been working hard on our new game Rekindling as well as working on a secret project for the Inevitability universe.. Anyways 1.21 is a pretty large content update!
New Race
There is a new race! The Roki. They are a small crafty rat like species. They are found often as cheaper mechanics on large ships or mercenaries flying around the universe.
Two new factions
With the addition of the Roki we have added two new factions exclusive to the Roki. Mercenary and the Rokun. Each comes with their own quest line, special abilities, as well new Steam achievements!
Other Features and improvements
We have added other user requested features such as *finally* being able to shoot Mika worms. As well we have made a number of graphical improvements from redoing from scratch how the star background looked to making it so the character portraits are only what you will see in the headshot
Other fun Inevitability related news & final thoughts
We have a Discord for Inevitability now! Its a good place to give feedback quickly to me as well as talk about cool ship designs and strategy!
I mentioned earlier that there are fun things in store for the universe of Inevitability in the near future. If you haven't been following us, I am now doing game development as a full time job and have a lot of fun things in the pipeline. If you want to see more from us in general feel free to support us on Patreon and see your name in the game and get early access to those new Inevitability things.

1.20 Update is out. Science! Science! Science!
Hey guys It has been awhile. We have a cool update that just went out that added a long requested feature of being able to research new parts.
You can see all the parts you have researched already and research new ones from the new research menu by spending "research points". You can get research points from the new part type of labs that can go on stations to generate passive science points. Even without labs you will slowly get points over time.
OH BOY SCIENCE
We have changed a lot on the backend of Inevitability, most of it is unnoticeable as we have improved our game engine for our second game that is just now entering early access on Steam. (you should check it out its pretty cool)
1.20
Added research menu!
Added new part type: Labs.
Changed background image as it was very small and you could see the tiling.
Fixed bunch of font issues with sizing and placement.
Fixed you being able to make broken saves from the tutorial.
Fixed Tech parts not saying what they do.
Fixed Bug with parts rotating. This mainly effected the blue laser.
Upgraded to the latest Version of Freaking Sweet (our game engine).
1.19.0 update is out. Looks a bit better!
New update is out!!!
This post will be a short one as there isn't large things just tons of little things.
Some highlights.....
The fonts have been made more consistent!
Fonts and a lot of the UI was pretty inconsistent in places so we have made strides to make them more consistent. Such as having the same font/coloring across the game.
Throughout the game things that made it feel choppy and styles inconstant have been changed to be more consistent and smooth. Such as there being a proper loading screen after the intro if the world doesn't finish loading by the end of it, Or the actual dirt explosions on the planet matching the color of the dirt. Or your probe studdering when going diagonally.
On a more technical front lots of old gross and clunky code has been moved.
The update will actually make your game file folder size about 30mb smaller because of the cleanup of unnecessary files and code running.
Thanks everyone for sticking with us and continuing to enjoy our game!
1.18.2 is out!
As promised some new small updates have come out this month!
Many of the major updates are user inspired. Help us improve and tell us your ideas!
A bunch of new player and ease of use/ access to information. One thing that has been added is when you hover parts you can see the details on it right there instead of having to memorize all the part pattrens!
Many other small tweaks have been made for the game to feel easier to play.
Another such change is pressing M with now expand the mini map to the whole screen in order to better find where you are on the map and where to go.
As always we have improved efficiency should be noticed in places as we update our custom built core engine that Inevitability runs on.
Thank you everyone for the support. As always let us know if you have ideas for improvement and you could see them in next months update!!
Update went out and update on development!
Hey guys! Update has just gone out.
*Update that just went out* It is a small update from a download perspective, but under the hood a whole ton has changed. Big things like lasers producing significantly more lag than they should, or the game being slow when exiting and reloading a save multiple times and the game window being off screen with multiple monitor setups are just a few of the things you will notice right away that are fixed. Smaller things such as UI helpers and more standardization on Fonts and colors in places will also be apparent.
*Nerdy tech things* From a more technical perspective we updated our graphics library and updated to be targeting a newer version of the .NET framework
*Game update* I can't be thankful enough for those who have supported Inevitability the past four years! Last update I gave you guys I said we would be getting updates out more frequently sadly this has not happened so far. Things have come up that have slowed development and that is on me (I am indeed a one man dev). However I want to start ramping up again and giving at least some form of an update every monthish. If that is some new UI improvements or bigger features such as the new research system we have planned or suggestions from the forums (We love these and they normally happen before other things ;) ).
Again I thank all of you for the support you have given us and hope to get in the future! As always feel free to ask us if you have any questions.
