Hey friends the 1.10.6 update just came out today that fixed some bugs that people where having with negative mineral counts. Some other bugs that I found hiding also got squished.
First of all I have big news for us as a company. Our second game has just gone up on Greenlight! Now wait, do not jump ship and panic thinking "this means that this is the end of Inevitability". Our new game has been in development for the past year and a half so it has already been happening alongside Inevitability as they both use parts of an game engine that we built. You can read about how that whole process all worked with Inevitability on a rant I did on Reddit awhile back if you are interested.
Now for some Inevitability news! The 1.11/1.12 updates are planned to come out early-mid April and has some really cool new stuff in it such as the long awaited randomly generated side quests. Along with this the enemy ship AI is getting a massive overhaul, The reason for that is something exciting... An arena mode!
Ships in the 1.12 update will function as Steam workshop items that you can download from the community page and pit them against each other to see who has designed the best ship.
We have some fun competitions and battle live-streams planned with this and some really cool prizes to give out to the best ship makers.
See you guys soon, I think it is Inevitable ;) !
Putting out fires and balance! 1.10.3
The 1.10.3 update just went out. It fixed some bugs with the new planets and old save compatibility along with some other minor fixes with the build menu.
Also the power system has been reworked a bit and balanced. in the build menu you can now see very clearly how much power your ship is using when idle and how much each part uses when it is on so you no longer have to launch it to see if the ship has enough power for everything!!!
Shields, missiles and stabilizer thrust have all been nerfed. Some lasers have been buffed, the beam lasers and main engines have been buffed.
The cost of parts has gone up across the board and when killing ships parts have a chance to explode instead of being collected.
A lot of big changes that should make the game more balanced :D
1.10 Update. Mining improvements, Bigger parts, Zoom fixes, and much more!
The 1.10 update has just gone out! In this update we tried to address as many of your ideas as possible and put them into the game.
The first thing that you can notice is that mining is a whole new ball game. All of the planet textures have been redone and are no longer blocky. The planets are 10 times bigger, you can now upgrade your probe to mine better, you can find secret parts in the planet, and there are worms wandering in each planet to nab your minerals!
Another highly requested feature was the ability to zoom in/out when you are flying your ship around, and it has been added. On top of that the menus have been reworked to fit better on all resolutions.
Many new parts have been added including some new 2x1 parts that have two systems in a single part!
This update is by far jam packed with the most new content since the launch on Steam, let us know what you think of it!
Community ships uploaded from 1.8.1 update and above will be slowly added over the next week. We got a lot of them the past two months and are still sorting through them.

1.9.0 Update (Wait there was just an update!?!?)
The 1.9 update is here and you may be asking questions such as "didn't the 1.8 update just come out" And "there was an update yesterday?!"
Well we have had a major change in the works for awhile, moving the Framework that Inevitability runs on to be something more modern. It is stable enough now and this update solves far more problems than it creates so we decided to release it early :)
This however doesn't change our schedule and the 1.10.0 Update with some really cool new content will be out late January/Early February.
The actual change log of fixes is extremely massive so i'll just give you the highlights here.

1.8.0 update! Hipoom Incoming.
GALACTIC NEWS
As the industrial Ukinkina faction grows ever stronger in the galaxy some members of the United Space Federation have taken action into their own hands. Their goal is to stop USF corruption by the Ukinkina. This comes after Ukinkina's blatant disregard for the well being of the environment and inhabitants on the planet of Zuol. These free-lance protesters are calling themselves the Hipoom.
The Reta-Leziua have been hard at work designing new parts for ships. Their most recent breakthrough has been in spin thrusters to help large ships spin around with ease. They have also made all lasers less explosive while doing the same impact so you can see your target's last moments.
The Pesomila faction, in their eternal pursuit of peace and zen in the universe, have equipped every ship and station with sound modulation units. This now helps everyone hear more pleasing sounds when doing virtually everything.
The Ukinkina outraged by the birth of the Hipoom Faction are pledging increased mining in USF Space and are rumored to be on the hunt for an external faction to help with the new threat..

First Ship of the week!
Since the launch we have been getting a massive influx of awesome ship designs uploaded from you guys. All of these ships will be included in some way in the 1.7 update, but for now I want to share the best one from each week with you guys. Each ship of the week will be incorporated in a special way into Inevitability lore.
This weeks ship is from a Human Pirate ETHOSYDE.
The real kicker on this ship is the 177 drones that are produced by the ship. It has a layer of armor to protect the important parts from collisions completely surrounding it. However it is still fairly fast and maneuverable for a large ship.
Let us know if you want us to keep doing ships of the week and keep the cool ships coming!
