Update #6 - More Blood & Materials - June 14
Hi guys!
It's time for our weekly update! This week it's about blood, gore, and crafting materials. You can now find new items/materials when scavenging. At the moment these items doesn't do anything yet, this is only the ground work for the crafting system.
So here are the update list:
UPDATES
More Blood & Gore - Shooting and killing zombies will leave blood & body parts on the ground. If you are squeamish or are disturbed by this, you can turn off blood & gore in the options menu.
Crafting Materials - Searching / scavenging will now drop materials.
Particle Systems - Optimized the particle system.
Ambush Missions - Disabled the Abort Mission button during Ambush missions.
Gear Fix - Fix Gears bug mentioned in previous update.
Well, Kris our lead dev have asked for their permissions to have them as special characters (and a new team) in our game, and they said YES!
So, expect a set of new characters and new teams in the upcoming updates! I hope you are as excited as us.
Bi-Weekly Updates Updating every week has been fun and a great challenge. The short time constraint has been both, a great push and a limitation for us. In order to have something to show every week we are forced to focus on features that we can complete in a week. However, this also made us neglect important features that are complex and may require more than 1 week to finish. In order to complete these complex features, we are changing the update schedule. We'll be updating the game every 2 weeks from now on.
I'll see you again in 2 weeks with more updates!

Update #5 - Ambush and Exploration - June 6
Hi guys!
After being sick in bed for almost a week with the measles, I'm finally back with a new update!
This is quite a significant update. Not only that there were a lot of things being optimized and tweak behind the scenes, we implemented a few new features into the game too!
ATTENTION - SAVE GAME DELETION Being a significant update, the game is now version 0.48! Unfortunately, there are some significant changes in the system that forced me to delete saved games prior to version 0.48 to prevent system crash. I'm very sorry about this :P
UPDATES With that said, here are the updates:
Ambush Missions Aside from the regular tower-defense missions, we are adding a new mission style, Ambush. When going from building to building, there is a small chance that your team is going to be ambushed. In this mission type zombies will come from both sides and you must fight to survive. No more letting zombies pass behind you, they are all coming for you!
Explore Missions I have to say that this one is still a work in progress, so please forgive the roughness of it. When selecting missions on the Town map, select the building that you are currently in to activate the Explore Mission. In this mission style the map is significantly larger than the regular mission maps. However, since this is still very early WIP, I have not yet placed any objects in the map...so it will be a large empty level...with some zombies that you can hunt.
In the future, there will be variations of the explore mission. Variations such as, locate specific items (Spark Plugs for the car perhaps?), build outposts (find marked areas to build, then protect your teammates from bandits or zombies), etc.
Equip-able Gears Remember that empty second slot in the character stats screen? Now you can equip Gears in there. What are Gears you say? Well, Gears are equip-able items that can give your survivors additional stats or skills, items such as Body Armors, Scopes, etc. At the moment there is only 1 Gear item available, which is the Kevlar Armor* (you can buy it at the Merchant) that can give your survivors extra protection from zombie bites. In future updates we will add more Gear items to the list. If you have cool ideas for new Gears, please let us know in the comments bellow!
In the future, you'll be able to craft new Gear items in the garage.
*) This item is still a work in progress. Armors will break when their durability reaches zero. However, at the moment you can unequip and equip again and the item will return to 100% condition. I'll be changing this in the next update.
Weapon Range Increased I've increased all of the weapons' attack range a bit. Try it out and let me know what you think about this in the comments below.
Wish list on next update Will focus on adding objects in the Explore missions, then implement the Human Bandits.
I'll see you again next week with more updates!

We won an Indie Prize Award!
Hi folks!
I just got back from Casual Connect Asia 2014 conference in Singapore. I know we are supposed to upload a new update this week, unfortunately I'm currently ill with measles and the rest of the team is tired. The whole team would like to apologize for going off-grid for almost 2 weeks, we will continue with our regular update schedule starting next week.
It's not all bad news, I'm proud to announce that Infectonator : Survivors WON AN AWARD! We received an Indie Prize Award for Best Desktop Game at the conference. We were up against other amazing games such as the awesome Dusty Revenge, and we are still amazed that we come out as the winner.
For those of you wondering, Casual Connect Asia 2014 was absolutely wonderful! We saw a lot of our friends, and also making new ones! Hangout with cool game developers from all over the world and share thoughts and ideas. We couldn't be happier, and with that mood we're getting back to creating more fun interesting things in Infectonator : Survivors.
I'll see you again next week with more updates!
