There’s been a recent surge in Insanity’s Blade players, and we wanted to take the time to thank you for giving the game a go. Whether you have recently purchased the game, or received it as a reward from our recent Kickstarter campaign, we hope you’re enjoying your time with Insanity's Blade: The Chronicles of Thurstan and look forward to hearing your thoughts and comments either in the forums, or on our Discord server.
Talking of Kickstarter campaigns, if you follow Causal Bit Games on social media, you will have likely seen by now that Battle Princess Madelyn is finally out for Windows PC on Steam.

Insanity's Blade V1.21 Update!
Hello All!
We have uploaded a minor patch today for the standard edition of Insanity's Blade which addresses some issues we were informed of by forum users:
Fixed occasional glitch in ARCADE mode where defeating a boss did not always go to the score summary screen.
Fixed a camera bug causing jitter on the edges of a level
Thanks again to all of you for playing Insanity's Blade and reporting any bugs or glitches to us, we always appreciate the feedback!

Insanity's Blade V1.20 Update!
Hey everyone!
We're very excited to release the 1.20 patch! This one is huge!
We've taken into consideration all of the feed back we've received over the past year and picked out the things we thought would make the Insanity's Blade experience even better along with the things we already planned on doing to improve the game!
Here is the giant list of changes:
All new smooth single player camera
Thurstan can now attack from ladders, vines, poles etc.
Thurstan has faster attack speeds
Attacks from the wall are much easier to pull off
Speed through intro and outro text with punch/jump or just skip it with start!
Fixed graphics on several levels (Church Stage platforms are now completed!)
Icon for store daggers updated to show proper number (game originally had 6 but was cut to 5 and the icon wasn't changed :O)
No more back tracking! When you go to receive a quest the game will automatically go to the stage you need to go to and skip the hidden wall sections completely
Added the Plague Doctor enemy back into the Plague City stage
Several enemy AI bugs fixed
Grab issues for some enemies fixed (note that tree men are not meant to be picked up - some things really are too heavy for Thurstan!)
Falling platforms in forest stage reprogrammed and are disabled for co-op
Special Weapon and Quest Item pick up is now automatic when you walk over them
Tighter analog stick response
Grab animation plays when holding weapon now - grab distance increased as well
Many other little things have changed here and there, like map font colors, the selection cursor for the map screen and the dialog box graphics
*Please note that it is only the two of us play testing the game at this point, so if we've missed something in our playthroughs we apologize and will correct any reported bugs as soon as possible!

**Also! The WGN edition is still on v1.19 right now while we finish some testing for it, v1.20 is expected within the following days ahead!
Insanity's Blade V1.19 Update!
Hi All!
One more tiny update here today! Thanks to more helpful feedback in your reviews Chris has tweaked a few parts of the game to improve your experience:
Controls adjusted to better support Xbox One analog sticks (Xbox 360 controllers still work great too!)
Added more color to some explosions
Enemy explosions are switched to the pre-alpha style with the arcade-style blood
Grab detection box is bigger, making it easier to grab without getting hurt!
Enemy arm weapon animations are modified (check the how to play video for hints on getting this weapon!)
Other minor tweaks that add polish to the game!

We've just released the V1.18 patch which fixes a few bugs that might have occurred when starting a new game or playing ARCADE mode right after beating the game and returning the to title screen, and should be one of the last patches to Insanity's Blade unless any other game-breaking bugs might crop up.
This is also a good time for us to mention our next title:
We've learned a lot in the process of developing, crowdfunding, releasing, and maintaining Insanity's Blade which will be reflected by this upcoming game.
We're also switching from the HTML5-based Construct 2 to Unity, which means Battle Princess Madelyn is coming to consoles first as well as eventually releasing on Steam with much better performance through native export, and hopefully support for a greater range of hardware too!
But don't worry, we'll still be here to provide support in the discussion forums and patch up any game breaking bugs for some time to come!

Insanity's Blade V1.16 Update!
Hello Everyone!
The latest build is now live featuring the following additions and bug fixes:
WINDOWED mode! This was much requested and is now tested and implemented after an engine update made it possible! Check out the OPTIONS menu at the title screen for configuring this option.
Added information to title screen to show the main differences between the more action-oriented ARCADE mode and the default STORY mode
Patched some gaps in levels where players reported being able to walk through walls and endlessly fall
Mages will now warp further from the player, to address some reports of them appearing over the player
Additions to stage 2 CAVE level to make it easier to spot possible traps!
Fixed an issue where the GAME OVER might not appear when losing all lives on harder difficulties

Insanity's Blade V1.15 Update!
Hi Everyone!
We are excited to announce in this update that Steam integration is now completed for these awesome features:
Steam Achievements
Steam Overlay
Steam Cloud Saves
As mentioned in the last post, there were already some things stored in your save files that would automatically unlock achievements when you get to the title screen of the game, especially if you have beaten the STORY or ARCADE modes!

Steam Achievements Incoming!
Good news everyone!
After successful testing of Steam integration with the engine Insanity's Blade was built on we are happy to announce that achievements should be going live this weekend!
We had been looking forward to putting them into the game for a while now, especially with such great support from all of you on the discussion forums! ( http://steamcommunity.com/app/334190/discussions/0/535150948601609209/ )
In this coming update some achievements will automatically be unlocked right at the title screen, especially for those of you who may have already beaten STORY and ARCADE modes so far!

Insanity's Blade V1.13 Update!
Hello Everyone!
This minor update is based on recent bug reports for co-op and brings forth a few new fixes including improvements to the jump-in system on the shooter stage and fish boss, as well as Finn's powerups which no longer cause too many magic trails.
We are glad to see continued positive feedback and appreciate all the suggestions for future updates.
