The first major update brings exciting new hulls, new weapons, curvature engines, and force field shields. All model textures in the game have been remastered in high definition, and the highly requested color customization feature has been added, and the UI interface has been beautified.

Recent Progress of Development

Hello every architect,

Firstly, again apologizing for the delay of the update. There are worries about game being stopped update, however I must clarify that the game is still under active development.

Actually, we have increased our team size after accepting an investment. Now the remaking of modules is nearly completed, and I believe the update will be available soon.

Progress of the First Major Update

[color="orange"]Hello, every architect. It has been a long time since last announcement, and the first major update has been delayed for so much time. I am very sorry about that.

Now it's time to tell you the progress of current developement. As I mentioned in forum, the delay is because that I bring quite a lot of extra work into this update. Specifically, they are ship module assets high-res remaking and free color customization. And I will tell you why I made this decision at the end. At first let's see the outcome.

The first one is always the hardest one. and following module assets could be created much faster. With these new art skills, I believe various new modules is no longer a knotty problem in future.

As for a precise estimate update date, I really don't know. I wish it could be done in next two months. I will present to you some progress when it's time. Thank you so much for liking and supporting.

Why bring extra work?


[color="cyan"][expand]At first, obviously the new energy shield gameplay need a new model asset, However I can't find one proper model asset I could purchase on any platform (such as Unity Asset Store and Epic Art Station). So only way to implement the feature is to designing and modeling from scratch. For consistency art style, the newly created module should be designed targeting to old assets. However the old assets is bought from other artist, Without source file, It turns making new asset into a constrained and inefficient job. So I decide to remake and upgrade old assets into a new higher standard, and create new ones after then.

Since I have decided to remake all old assets, there is also an essential feature that is long requested by you, more color customization. Obviously this is the most appropriate time to implement it. I decide to implement it to a real sandbox level, not more color options, but complete control by color assignment. I have tried to cooperate with others, but it didn't go well. Because this is not a usual workflow in industry, (there are color replacing features in many games, but the quality of most of them can't satisfy myself). I need a complete new approach to solve it.

Finally, I decided to learn and dig into domain of art myself. I took almost one month to learn basic operation and skills of blender, substance painter and substance designer. Then I tried to test different types of art asset creating procedure, such as high-poly mesh baking, high detailed surface material. These workflow has been proved to be inappropriate for the project. Although I found a proper workflow at last, I can't output a better asset quality then old ones until recently. Today I could say new asset quality is obviously better than the old ones. Great![/expand][/color]

First Major Update Is Coming

Hello, every architect. The first major update is being prepared now. It will Include but not limited to:

  • Directed Energy Weapon (laser weapon)
  • Point Defense Turret (anti-missile)
  • Energy Shield.
  • Warp Jump (enter/exit scene, adventure mode)

It is estimated to be available in around 5-6 weeks. During this period, no regular update or patch will be published. Please kindly note about it.

Improvements



  • Add template save and load in battle room. You can restore previous saved setting with one button.
  • Use T to lock nearest enemy, and if your previous target lost, auto switch to a new one.
  • Move ship destruction notification to side of screen and won't block your screen.
  • Improve attitude mode selector logic, ban invalid options if necessary.
  • You will no longer be attacked by destroyed ship.
  • No longer show destroyed targets.
