MYSTERY INVENTORY BUG :-\

After going through code for hours looking for a mistake, trying to fix a bug that makes everything in the first inventory slot disappear for no reason. I have decided to use a cheap fix by simply not using the first inventory slot, it is now greyed out and used as a place holder. This now means nobody should be suffering from items vanishing for no reason. ːsteamhappyː

Also:

* fixed graphics for serpent engine being out of place.

* fixed graphics on single plasma cannons

BIG PATCH AND A BIT OF NEW CONTENT :-)

Hope your all enjoying the game! got some more fixes and a couple of new additions:

* Fixed duplicate pickup message when getting crates in space.

* Made some artifact descriptions sound more plausible like books movies ect.

* Hopefully fixed some brief gui flash-up in screen transition.

* slightly improved base engine efficiency for generated engines.

* Made it a bit less likely to take damage from slow moving objects in the lander section.

* fixed a few typos.

* put the price of tea and coffee up in the shop.

* fixed wrong speech when scanner damaged.

NEW CONTENT!:

* New small derelict type: Robot factory.

SHOTDRIVER UPDATE

The shotgun mass drivers have been tweeked after more play testing:

* shot drivers now degrade like all other turrets.

* shot driver setup start weapons do a little more damage.

* shot driver sound effect now louder.

* decemator now has a missile defence beam

FIXED GUN AND EXPLOSION BUGS

After more play testing i found a few issues with the hand guns so i have overhauled how they work a bit.

* Guns now wont fire if they reach condition 0, they like everything else can be repaired with scrap.

* you now have a gun condition bar on lander sections, this is kinda like an ammo counter. the more you use your gun the more you will need to use scrap to repair it.

* fixed jolting sprite when firing guns.

* fixed occasional crash occurring when shooting explosive objects in derelicts.

* further improved hand gun sounds.

DROIDS AND DEFENCE BEAMS FIX

* Droids now don't disappear when they reach 0 condition, they will simply stop repairing things.

* Defence beams now wont target enemy ships, only fighters mines and missiles as intended.

MORE FIXES AND BALANCE TWEEKS

Hi players, hope your enjoying my game!

Here's a list of today's fixes:

* Fixed stuck objects in deralicts

* Improved sound pitch range for hand guns.

* Fixed bug with big crates sometimes not giving you anything.

* beamer turrets now use much more power as they were intended to, they are very op vs small craft.

*fixed feedback box when item sold being too small

* fixed grenades giving you 10 instead of 1 in shops.

*Dropship health is now reflected based on condition in inventory

* Fighters should now be able to target asteroids if no enemies are about.

* Plasma bomber setup now has mass drivers included as its a bit weak vs small craft without.

* crate values nerfed a little.

* fixed various typos.

* Landing possible will not show now if you already landed.

* sound should reset on jump now. ie engine sound wont continue playing.

* fixed single plasma sprite being invisible.

Just when you think you have your game running well....
you play test and find a crazy bug!

so anyways...

*fixed bug where medium deralicts had no background

*fixed other related lander section bug

*fixed bug with readout for playing with toy in timeline.

still waiting for my first proper review.... 'tumble weed rolls past'

LAST MINUET BUG FIXES...

Just to let you all know after a bit of play testing i found a couple of balance bugs so im pushing out another update. in future i will try to let people know a day or 2 before as the updates corrupt the save files for a game in progress. sorry to anybody who lost progress, the game should now be 99% bug free.

*fixed nukes being worth crazy money

*fixed level of items being affected by buying things in the shop

Some advice to new players from the dev :-)

Hi to you friends who bought my game!,

So i want to give you a few pointers because its kind of deep:

* One of the first things you want to do when entering a new system is scan nearby radar blips. This will tell you what is around you. You do risk alerting mines and ships to your presence however. Once scanned you get better target information on the bottom right of the HUD. You can tell roughly whats on radar without scanning by the size and activity of blips, ie ships move about on patrols planets are big blips ect.

* Dont forget to heal your pilot if you take damage in lander sections, you can do this with food, first aid kits, cats and dogs ect :-)

* Repair damaged systems with small scrap especially engines otherwise you will be flying around very slowly.

* you can fly without using fuel using impulse drives, if you slow down to your maximum impulse speed you will run of reactor power instead of fuel. Hyperdrives however only magnify fuel engine speed. Some engines you find have a higher impulse speed than main speed these run of reactor but will have lower hyper speeds.
