Intruder Competitive League: Season 9
Greetings Agents,
Have you been longing for the ultimate Intruder experience? Something like a league where you can play competitive matches of Intruder with a team of the best agents out there?
Look no further: The Intruder Competitive League is about to start its 9th Season!
What is the Intruder Competitive League?
The Intruder Competitive League (ICL) is a community-hosted event where you can play against the best Intruder players in the world, or maybe even become one yourself! With weekly matches against the top teams, you can hone your skills, learn new strategies, and claim the Championship.
How do I participate?
You can participate by joining us on Discord and checking out the channels under the Intruder Competitive category. We have info for the current season, rules, rosters, schedules and more so no matter what questions you have they can be answered there!
When does it start?
Enrollment for new teams is OPEN NOW and roster registration ends on September 22 at Midnight PDT. After that window closes, you're welcome to join an existing team at any time during an active season.

Of course, with ICL 9 Starting, it's long overdue for the ICL 8 rewards to be distributed to the teams! All participants will get a commemorative Wall tag, while the top performing teams will also get Arm Patches and random drops based on team standings.

Reduced the size of Bloon by 33% to improvement movement through small openings (like half opened doors) and the new Mountainside glass office doors.
Improved colliders on the fan housing so bullets aren't blocked by air.
Fixed teammates being able to apply bullet decals to Bloon.
Fixed used items for Activators removing from 3rd person, like helicopter keys

What's New in Mountainside
Visual Overhaul: The Mountainside facility has been reimagined with a ton of new art, improved lighting, contrasting colors, visual effects, atmosphere, and more. Inside and out, from one room to another, the visuals are better than they've ever been. Some familiar places may feel quite different than you're used to, and upgrades to the facility's security systems should make engagements within and without all the more interesting.
Layout Changes: Mountainside's new level design allows for entirely new hiding spots, ambush points, exfil routes, and more. Stay sharp, Agents, and prepare to alter your tactical approach in every scenario. Be sure to explore each of the new rooms, areas, and opportunities within the region -- whether you're ziplining onto the roof, coming in from below in the brand-new sewer system, or rigging doors that give the enemy unexpected angles. We can't wait to see how your teamwork changes in this refreshed environment, which previous strategies prevail, and where you make your sniper's nests.
Deadlier Helicopter Patrol: As always, you can hit the emergency button within the facility to summon a helicopter. The helo will patrol the bridge and ridge as usual, but its attack pattern is even more dangerous than it used to be. We'll let you discover the specifics for yourselves during the mission, but one piece of advice: Find cover.

What's Next
We’ve been hard at work on several other ongoing projects within Superboss Games – with Mountainside 2.0 entering beta, you can expect plenty of fixes and updates to make it the best it can be. But what lies beyond this mountainous range?
In addition to planned fixes and upcoming updates, we’re making nice strides on A.I. enemy behaviors. We’re looking forward to sharing more about that when the time is right (and when our A.I. is on its best behavior).
We’re also looking ahead to our final map remake: Riverside 2.0. We’re in the early phase here, and much like Mountainside we’re eager to share updates with the Intruder community as we go. Your input and excitement during Mountainside 2.0’s development was and is deeply appreciated.
Once Riverside 2.0 is complete, we’ll forge ahead to completion on our next original multiplayer map: Checkpoint. We’re keeping busy over here at Superboss HQ, and can’t wait to get these updates in your hands. Until then, you can monitor Intruder’s future on our Development Roadmap.

FPS Fest Small Update version 2938
Hello Agents! Got some quick fixes and additions for you all during the Steam FPS Fest. Please update your game for the following:
Fix for map version loading problems (too new, too old, already loaded, etc.)
Turned down Silver Specter reflection glow
Tutorial Intruder and Guard pop up models fixed
Activators with timers not triggering until game object is visible and enabled in the hierarchy
Mortar rotation sensitivity now tied to mouse sensitivity settings better
Clear maps button now unchecks again properly
Crouched decoy stand up legs no longer clipping

FPS Fest Sale: Decoy Update & New Cosmetics Revealed

The Steam FPS Fest has begun, and Intruder is on sale for 50% off! Our stealth multiplayer FPS is discounted during the entire event, which runs April 15th to April 22nd at 10am PT. For the duration of FPS Fest, you'll also earn a 200% XP bonus when playing Intruder!
As we celebrate all things FPS, we're excited to reveal new functionality for the Decoy gadget, as well as some shiny new cosmetic unlocks. We're also pleased to crown a new Intruder Competitive League Champion and talk a little bit more about the Gloves item from April Fool's Day...
It's a big briefing, so let's get to it.
Gameplay Update: Decoy Crouch Stance
The Decoy gadget has received new functionality to help you deceive even the most experienced of Intruder players. The Decoy now has a crouch mode in addition to its default standing stance.
The additional stance should further help you trick Guard snipers into wasting precious ammunition on a cardboard target, or force an Intruder to second-guess their infiltration route when spotting a supposed enemy. An alt Decoy stance has been a community feature request for a bit, so we're excited to see you bamboozle your opponents more effectively than ever.
The default key-bind for changing your Decoy's stance is right-click/Mouse 2 while holding the gadget!
Intruder Competitive League 8 Championship
Congratulations to team OWL for claiming 1st Place during Intruder Competitive League 8! This was an exciting and menacing team throughout ICL8. Their precision play and lethal tactics made them a joy to watch -- and will make them a difficult team to dethrone in ICL9.
To honor OWL's incredible performance, the team has been immortalized with a new Item Cache unlock: The OWL Beret.
Got a light? This OWL-themed item features the team's stylish symbol adorning an equally stylish beret -- and it's astonishingly rare. If you happen to see this cosmetic in your matches this week...stay alert. That could very well be one of our Champion players from OWL -- they're getting the OWL Beret before anyone else.
Congratulations again to OWL for an impressive season, and a hearty thank you to every team that participated in the ICL8 season. Watching your tense matches has been excellent. We look forward to seeing you compete again in the near future.
New Item: Silver Specter
In addition to the all-new OWL Beret, we're unveiling another Item Cache unlockable for you, Agents. If you're looking to bring a sleek and modern metallic shine to your sidearm, look no further than the all-new Silver Specter Panther.
We've increased your chances of earning the Silver Specter during FPS Fest. After the event ends on April 22nd, the new Panther skin becomes a Red Ultra Rare reward that's more difficult to obtain.
If you're eager to unlock the Silver Specter for your Item Cache, there's no time like the present.

Gloves
HQ has been monitoring your enthusiasm for these new Advanced CQC tactics, and the conclusion is clear: The April Fool's Day Gloves item was a full-blown hit with the Intruder community.
As promised in the Spring 2024 Update, we're excited to add Gloves to the IntruderMM tools. Mapmakers can now add Gloves to their existing maps as an item pick-up (for use in addition to your hands). Or perhaps Mapmakers will build entirely new tactical arenas around the fearsome fist gadget. We look forward to all sorts of heavy-hitters the Intruder Mapmaking community will bring to the Workshop!
