The Spotter System has received a Race Control-focused set of updates and new calls that will liven up your racing and keep you better informed about what is happening on the track and in the race. New challengers approach - you will now have the ability to add AI Opponent Rosters to your Hosted Sessions that utilize the Heat Racing format! We are excited to announce we have been investing time into saving you time, loading time to be precise, and this Season Release includes a first phase of loading optimizations that should get you into the driver’s seat just a little bit faster. Willow Springs International Raceway is proud to pioneer a new 3D Foliage System that automatically populates the environment with grasses, shrubs, and other creations of Mother Nature. USB Audio Hot Swapping is now fully enabled and supported by iRacing for all of your headset and speaker needs. A new Graphics Option has also been added which controls the display of all cockpit obstructions instead of this parameter being car setup specific.
The New Damage Model has been put into practice on eleven additional cars. And last but not least our AI Drivers have mastered eight new cars and twenty-four new track configurations. Welcome to iRacing 2023 Season 3!

The “autoFuelDefaultEnable” setting in the “app.ini” file is now used to enable/disable Auto Fuel on pit exit. The pit macro, “autofuel", has been added. - - Toggle, Invert, and Clear functionality have been enabled. The Auto Fuel chat macros now support the use of negative values for adjustments. The Auto Fuel system is now available for the Gen 4 Cup Car. Fixed an issue where Auto Fuel calculations were incorrect once the checkered flag had flown.

2023 Season 2 Patch 1 [2023.03.12.02]
This Patch includes updates and fixes for the 2023 Season 2 Release, as well as the official release of the Gen 4 Cup Car!
Release Notes can be found below, or on the Members Forums here: https://forums.iracing.com/discussion/38753/2023-season-2-patch-1-release-notes-2023-03-12-02#latest
Static Assets and Series Standings Changes have been made to resolve sporadic failures when loading Standings, Time Attack schedules, some layers of tracks maps on the Classic Membersite and in iRacing, as well as some schedule data from iRacing Live. These errors were occurring due to a misconfiguration on the content delivery network (CDN), allowing this data to be cached without the necessary headers, causing it to fail.
My Cars Fixed an issue where clicking on the Hosted Sessions option within the Find Sessions section would cause an error.
New Damage Model Fixed a damage data processing issue that could cause cars to become outer space vehicles. - - This data processing issue was most easily reproduced by applying a new setup that altered the spring dampers and then crashing the car so the wheels would break.
Spotter The Ari Cejas Spanish Spotter Pack has been updated, with a full rewrite! - - Many thanks to Ari for the hard work! Updated the Portuguese Spotter Pack.
Replays Fixed an issue that would cause only a portion of a Replay to be saved out at shutdown if you had enabled the “Save Replay at Shutdown” option and had previously clippled a portion of the Replay out prior to quitting.

ARCA Menards Chevrolet Impala / Gen 4 Cup (ARCA Menards Chevrolet Impala) - Engine parameters have been reverted. (Gen 4 Cup) - NEW CAR! - - The Gen 4 Cup is now available for official purchase and use! - - - - The NASCAR Cup Series Gen 4 Chevrolet is based on the fourth generation NASCAR Cup Series car that ran through 2007, when the Car of Tomorrow took over. Gen 4 cars made their debut in the early 1990s and were used throughout NASCAR's boom of the late 1990s and early 2000s, leading Jeff Gordon to all four of his championships and both Dale Earnhardt and Jimmie Johnson to some of their seven - Earnhardt to his last in 1994, and Johnson to his first in 2006. iRacing's Gen 4 car is a higher-horsepower version of the same car used in the ARCA Menards Series, kicking up the 358-cubic inch V8 engine to 725 horsepower. The extra power makes for a more challenging driving experience, and a throwback for those who long for the days of one of NASCAR's classic eras. It's the generation where names like Wallace, Labonte, Jarrett, Martin, and Stewart did battle - and now, at long last, this is your chance to relive it. - - All Members who owned the ARCA Menards Chevrolet Impala now have access to this vehicle. A new Damage Model tuning update has been completed, including lowering break limits for the hood and trunk mounts.
Audi R8 LMS GT3 Fixed an issue where scrape damage was appearing on the interface model for this car.
Dallara iR-01 An additional gear option has been added for superspeedway use. Steering ratio is now an adjustable parameter for Fixed Series events. Drag parameters have been adjusted. 2023 Season 1 Patch 3 Hotfix 2
You can find the full release notes below, or on the iRacing Members Forums, here: https://forums.iracing.com/discussion/36592/2023-season-1-patch-3-hotfix-2-release-notes-2023-02-01-02#latest
This Hotfix includes a needed fix for the 2023 Season 1 Patch 3 Release.
SIMULATION: -------------------------------------------------------------- Tire Model Fixed an issue for some cars where tire rubber was becoming unrealistically extra conditioned when driving over curbs and rumble strips.
Surface Model Soft surface model properties for gravel have been updated.
New Damage Model A system-wide adjustment has been made for how bodies that connect and retain contact with each other over time behave. This change is designed to reduce the likelihood and severity of objects snagging on one another. - - Objects that retain contact with each other must be allowed a degree of lateral displacement, provided they can overcome the forces of friction provided by their surfaces, the angle of movement, and the force of the movement. Too much displacement can cause snagging. To avoid snagging, we have limited the amount of displacement allowed relative to the axis of contact. Physics properties for a variety of wall objects have been adjusted to prevent snagging and catching behaviors, as well as reduce the likelihood of a vehicle becoming stuck bisecting the wall. These adjustments should also create more uniform damage from impacts based on the wall type. The wall types affected include: concrete, chain link fences, ARMCO barriers, and tire walls.
Replays Fixed an issue where users’ screens would serve a 10 second penalty in a dark void after loading a replay that included the maximum number of car types in the session.
CARS: -------------------------------------------------------------- GT3 Cars A New Damage Model tuning update has been completed for these cars to avoid excessive scraping from curb impacts.
NASCAR Cup Series Next Gen Toyota Camry Texture mapping on the front fenders has been updated. This fixes some UV warping from the 2023 Season update, and fixes issues with damage decals and camera draw distances.
TRACKS: -------------------------------------------------------------- Daytona International Speedway (Road Course) - Slowdown penalties have been added to the banked apron, and cones have been adjusted to show where it is safe to use the apron again.
