What Sharp TEETH You Have!

After spreading into artificial structures, some Meat spores evolved themselves into permanent fixtures of flesh-eating flesh eaters!!

Classified as Meat “Incisors” by the Earth Counter Invasion Force, these dangerous fixtures will be the bane of any reckless soldiers choosing to run past them without caution! Unable to be destroyed by any weapons in the ECIF arsenal, you’ll have to time it right to run through them, instead!

Will you make it through these JAWS OF DEATH or be their next meal?

Look forward to even more as we continue with development!

Meat Turrets! Pt. 1

Hiding in the ground or in the walls are the MEAT TURRETS! Now, mind you, some of them may LOOK like normal turrets belonging to the Earth Counter Invasion Force, but you’ll find that appearances can be deceiving!

Take a look at some of the Meat Turrets you can expect to encounter in Iron Meat’s demo!

Wall Guys

No, they’re not just “hangin’ out”! They’re trying to kill you! You’ll find these turrets ingrained within rocky walls in the Forest area. Be sure to destroy them before they can cause trouble!

In-Grounders

These turrets were taken over by Meat spores after they burrowed into the ground near ECIF bases. After coming into contact with the pipes, wiring, and other metals underground, the Meat spurs fastened themselves into in-ground turrets that will reveal themselves once an enemy draws near!

Be mindful, though. Dispatching these turrets will leave behind a lethal patch of active wiring in the ground, so be sure to jump over these as you move forward!

Eyesticks

These Meat manifestations have evolved quickly into single eyeballs with elongated sockets. The eyeballs not only have sharp vision to easily locate their targets, but they can also emit spinning diamond-like projectiles, unlike any other turret types! You’ll find them constantly poking out to shoot projectiles at you, then retreat within their sockets–but you can still shoot at their eyes peeking out!

Know Your Enemies #2: Meat Soldiers

Following the Meat's outbreak, inanimate objects were not the only things the interdimensional spores latched onto. Handful by handful, mass by mass, hundreds upon thousands of humans were transformed into bloodthirsty, flesh-hungry monsters by the Meat.

Throughout every level, you'll encounter assimilated soldiers and scientists formerly belonging to the Earth Counter Invasion Force. And it goes without saying that, with every new addition into the Meat's consumed human ranks, you're bound to witness multiple appearances of these enemies!

Some have bonelike armblade appendages, others have elongated, fleshy mouths where their heads once were, and still others even throw their constantly regenerating heads!

Now that they've become susceptible to the Meat, the only way you can possibly save your former allies is by putting them out of their misery! Best not to allow the Meat to further corrupt and assimilate what is left of humanity!

You can get a taste of the fight against the Meat horde NOW in the Iron Meat demo!

Know Your Enemies #1: Indoskeleton

in the Forest, you'll encounter a couple of Indoskeleton monsters! Following Yuri Markov's invasion of Earth, Meat spores burrowed their way into the ground and came into contact with metal pipelines placed between artificial structures.

The Earth Counter Invasion Force positioned turrets within the ground at certain points across the zone. However, with the onset of the Meat, these turrets were susceptible to any spores that found their way underground. Thus, Indoskeletons were considered to be the “terminal stage” if any turrets ever mutated to an extreme degree.

From lead developer Ivan Suvorov: “In general, I tried to make sure that the shape of the original turret would fit the skull as much as possible. The fact that it is located underground is due to the fact that the turret was originally dug in and camouflaged. The body is a mixture of wires and Meat, because the turret was controlled remotely via wires (and electricity was supplied through them).”

As the Meat spores assimilated the metal pipelines and other fixtures, they coiled themselves into elongated appearances, resulting in a coiled snake-like form. The Meat would further expand to create a mouth and teeth from metal parts, along with absorbing any electrical units to create "eye" fixtures.

Indoskeletons are also able to spit out fiery projectiles that spin in the direction of their intended target. It is theorized these creatures are formed when Meat spores detect strong heat sources of nearby artificial constructs.

We'll provide another update when we obtain even more information on this enemy! But, in the meantime, be on the lookout for this foe in the demo!

You can face off against these Indoskeletons now in Iron Meat's demo!
