Therefore, it is no longer possible to use one of these trinkets with a weapon which disables slots, such as Tyrfing. Also, disabled slots are cumulative now, so when both weapons disable 1 slot (for example, Tyrfing and Svalinn), no trinkets can be equipped.

Steel Hilt: cannot be used by Assassin anymore.
Merciful Fate: removed damage and crit bonuses.
Ironbound is not "free to play"
There seems to be some confusion about our business model, so we'd like to make a few quick clarifications.
Ironbound is not free to play. The client can be downloaded for free on all platforms, so that you can unlock your account once, and use it to play on any supported platform or device. Before you unlock, we give you access to all the single player content and a number of multiplayer games, so that you can try the game and see if you like it.
Similar games let you play for free, but offer micro-transactions for unlocking content or accessing special game modes, and unlocking everything can easily cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Alternatively, you can spend a lot of time trying to unlock the content by playing, but users who spend have an obvious advantage. We have a different approach: try the game, and if you like it, buy it once. No micro-transactions, no uncapped spending, no pay to win features.
It would have been easier for us to ask for an upfront payment. However, we are working on tablet versions of the game (iOS and Android), and we want players to be able to pay once and play everywhere. If you unlock on Steam now, you'll be able to download the iPad client for free, login with the same account, and play. Conversely, people who unlock on iPad can come to Steam later, download the game and play without spending anything extra.
We're sorry about the confusion, and we hope you agree that this is a fair and simple model.
Early Access!
Hello Steam users,
We are very excited to be able to bring Ironbound to Early Access and finally show you what we've been working on. Since there are still a few rough edges, here are some tips to make sure you have an enjoyable experience:
Don't skip the tutorial! Ironbound should be easy to pick up, but there are some things that are not immediately obvious. It only takes about 15 minutes to go through all 4 tutorial challenges.
Don't jump straight to multiplayer! It's better to play some solo challenges first and get yourself acquainted with the class you're going to use. The first few solo stages are easy to win, and the gold you'll gain will allow you to buy better gear or upgrade your character, which will translate into better chances in online games.
Conversely, if you've defeated a few solo stages but get stuck, try multiplayer. Winning online matches gives you gold that you can use to upgrade your equipment. Also, creating an account (which is required for online play) gives you a gold bonus.
Don't miss the right hand side tabs in the customize character screen. That screen will show your inventory when you open it, but there are two more tabs next to the portrait: Character Upgrades, where you can level up, and Perks, where you can select which character perk is active.
While playing a match, you can open the settings menu by clicking the round button on the left edge of the table (the one with the gears on it). This works during the tutorials too, even if a hint popup is currently showing.
The game window is resizable! If it's partially covered by the taskbar, or too large, or too small, you can resize the window by dragging any corner or edge. There's no full screen option at the moment, but it's coming soon.
We'll address most of these things through in-game hints in the near future. If you have more questions, maybe our FAQ or Roadmap already have the answer you're looking for. If not, please write to us on the Steam discussion forum, or our dedicated forum. We're also very eager to hear feedback on game balance, difficulty, technical aspects, or any other game-related subject, so please use any of the available channels to contact us.
