New Demo Announcement with online co-op!

The previous version, Gatekeeper: Eclipse, had an impressive 100,000 lifetime players. We appreciate the valuable feedback we received from our players, which enabled us to enhance the game significantly. Through Gatekeeper: Infinity, we aim to introduce new game modes, visuals, characters, and attract a broader audience.

Gatekeeper: Eclipse Available now!

A list of updates from the last week, if you've missed it:




  • Added controller support.
  • When activating obelisks, artifacts no longer need to be physically collected. A choice between two artifacts appears in the UI with a brief description.
  • When selecting an artifact, time slows down so that the player can read the descriptions.
  • Artifact descriptions now include a note on the type of stat growth when stacked. Logarithmic, linear, or exponential growth.
  • Wording in item descriptions has been changed for readability.
  • Protection against killing gatekeepers with one hit.
  • Almost all keys can now be remapped.
  • The indicator under the character's feet now changes color depending on the gatekeeper's health level.
  • Aurora is now available regardless of the outcome in The Nowhere.
  • A new siren named Prince. He will replace Tarra in Aurora.
  • The basic difficulty level of The Nowhere has become significantly easier.
  • If attempting to use a skill on cooldown, a sound indicating the action's unavailability will play.
  • The delay after skill use has been removed, allowing for planning of spell chains.
  • Gatekeeper controllers have been redesigned, and control is now much more responsive.

And many other small but important changes!



An important announcement to those who took part in the Gatekeeper: Eclipse playtest - please note that you will no longer be able to access your previous save files. This is because we have implemented a new Steam Cloud feature, which means that your new save files will now have a different pathway.

Big Playtest Update!

Hello Gatekeepers!
Version 0.9.4.4 is now ready and available for playtesting on the game's prologue page - Gatekeeper: Eclipse.





Biggest change:
- Now, when activating the obelisk, you do not need to pick up an item. The choice of two items appears in the UI immediately with a short description. You need to press [Q] or [E] to select one of them.



List of changes:
- Spirits from Sia's totem sign now deal 17 damage instead of 30 .
- Keeper’s Mines are now limited in movement speed. They are less likely to surprise you.
- Protection from killing the gatekeeper with one shot.
- Flash artifact is now a different color to make it easier to distinguish it from Opal Eye.
- Totem indicators appear on the screen much earlier to make them easier to spot.
- Aurora is now much easier to earn money. Fully charging the totem now gives money.
- By pressing [TAB] during gameplay, you can now read skill descriptions. To do this, hover over them with the cursor.
- Hybrid base speed increased by 1 unit
- Catharsis is now limited to six items. The abuse was previously impossible because while you are waiting for an item, the enemies become stronger. But many players spent time waiting for the timer.

Fixes:
- In the "objectives" some tasks were displayed incorrectly
- Hollow Talisman didn't attack Keepers
- At low graphics settings, the colors of some objects broke.
- Changed the wording in the description of some items.

We fixed it all thanks to you!

Join Gatekeeper: Eclipse Playtest now!

Hello everyone!

We're happy to announce that we're launching an open playtest for the game's prologue ver.!
To play the game, smash the "Request Access" button πŸ•ΉοΈ on the Gatekeeper: Eclipse steam page.
Every player who takes part in the playtest will be mentioned in the full game credits upon the release! (It's optional, of course).
We'd be accepting requests until Feb. 1st, 2023!





This is the first time we'd open access to the game for the public and we'd like to ask you to leave your honest opinion about it. You can leave your thoughts in the discord server, or in the survey which you can access directly in the game.



The release of Gatekeeper: Eclipse is planned for next month, we'd carefully analyze your feedback to make the best game possible. And of course, don't forget to add the full game to your wishlist.

Title announcement πŸš€ First gameplay trailer

Greetings!

We're happy to announce the title of our Rogue-lite shooter: Gatekeeper!





In Gatekeeper, you take the role of the Observer who guards the very important artifact which keeps the universe balance and we believe that this title resonates with the game's lore and gameplay.
