BREAKING NEWS

We’re hearing reports from all around the globe that cities are under attack by, I quote, “pink screeching abominations, unlike anything we’ve ever seen in sci-fi movies”. According to the FBI, CIA, and LOL, the alien invasion might have been caused by the recent release of It came from space and ate our brains—a 4-player local co-op mayhem.

Now, let’s go to Helen Replay, speaking to you live from several cities at the same time. Somehow.

This is Helen Replay, speaking to you from Rome! The Colosseum is destroyed. I repeat, the Colosseum is destroyed. 50,000 people fled the building and it is currently unknown whether the Gladiator Contest tickets will be refunded. WTF, Winged Team Forces, are scattered over the city, trying to save the citizens and reduce casualties. What does these aliens look like up close? Like a sci-fi prop made of cardboard of rage!

And I’ve just teleported to London to watch another creature destroy Tower Bridge! Wow, this alien REALLY hates bridges! But what is this mysterious attacker? Definitely not a bird or a plane! Maybe a ship, since it walks on water. Uh oh, Winged Team Forces are getting overwhelmed by the wave of aliens!

Who will save us now?!

Well, YOU, of course!

FAQ

Steam Remote Play Together is a brand new feature allowing people to play together online. Please refer to Steam Remote Play overview and Steam Remote Play Support for more information in your native language.

Q: How do I use Steam Remote Play Together?
A: It’s easy! Just follow the three simple steps:
1. Launch ‘It came from space and ate our brains’
2. Open your Friends List and right-click to
Invite your friends.
3. They accept the invite in the chat window and... That’s it!
You're playing together.

To access your Friends List, you may need to open Steam Overlay (Shift+Tab by default).

Q: How does Steam Remote Play work?
A: Steam Remote Play allows games to be launched on one computer, while being played from other devices connected to Steam. With Remote Play Together, you can invite your Steam Friends to join your local co-op sessions remotely, without having to own or launch the game themselves.

Q: We’re experiencing poor Steam Remote Play Together performance. What can we do?
A: Below are a few solutions Valve recommends. Please refer to Steam Remote Play overview and Steam Remote Play Support for more information in your native language.
  • Hardware: We recommend a minimum of a quad-core CPU for the computer running the game. The client has more modest requirements, but should have a GPU that supports hardware accelerated H264 decoding. Any recent laptop or PC should meet the client requirements.
  • Network: We recommend using a wired network for the best streaming experience. People have had some success with powerline networks and wireless N and AC networks with good signal, though your experience may vary.
  • Game Settings: To improve your streaming experience, you can go into your game settings and lower your resolution and turn off vertical sync.
  • Steam Settings: In the Remote Play settings you can change a number of things that can affect your experience. You can change your preference for speed vs quality, limit the network bandwidth, and adjust the maximum capture resolution.

Q: What network ports does Steam Remote Play use?
A: Streaming uses UDP ports 27031 and 27036 and TCP ports 27036 and 27037. Please make sure Steam can listen on these ports in your firewall software.

Q: Should I update video drivers?
A: A number of bugs have been fixed in the latest video driver releases that may affect streaming. If you are getting poor performance, graphical glitches or black screens please make sure you have the latest drivers installed from your video card vendor's website.

Q: What are alternatives to Steam Remote Play Together?
A: Members of the Steam community have recommended using Parsec, a third-party software, which lets you invite your friends to play games with you online even if the game doesn't have online multiplayer. We don’t officially support this solution, but we hear reports that its performance can be better than Steam Remote Play Together

A deadly arsenal that will help you survive the extraterrestrial invasion

Who’s the most awesome alien slayer in the entire world? You are, obviously, and now you can prove it!

It came from space and ate our brains is a unique arcade top-down shooter that will require you to shoot with guns. But they are not just some ordinary guns, oh no! Those are guns to kill aliens, the guns designed especially to kill aliens, alien-slaying guns. That kind of guns.

We got it covered for you!

Pistol - This is your best friend… at least for the beginning. It’ll help you survive until you can get a new weapon, so treat your pistol well! You didn’t know that you have to start small and underpowered before you can level up? Have you ever played a video game before?

Shotgun - When you want to spread your message over a wider area, a shotgun is your best bet. Plus, who doesn’t love that “BOOM” sound? It may be short-ranged but it gets the job done.

Machine Gun - One pull of the trigger sends a stream of lead-tipped kisses of pain. It’s fun to put lots of holes in your enemies but can you spare the ammo?

Plasma Gun - Need to send a long-distance dedication of death? The Plasma Gun lets you reach out and quickly touch anyone who’s too far away for other weapons.

Laser Gun - What, you thought a game with space aliens wouldn’t have a laser gun? Come on.

Rocket Launcher - Sometimes you just need to blow stuff up. That’s what the Rocket Launcher is for. The shooting speed is low but the explosion is worth it.

Still in need of more firepower? Each gun can be enhanced with upgrades that make them pew pew faster. Search for them in suspiciously glowing crates.

Class dismissed! You are now ready to face the ferocious aliens in the upcoming It came from space and ate our brains remaster!

Everything about It came from space ate our brains:

About those who came from space to feast on your tasty brains

It came from space and ate our brains is a unique arcade top-down shooter and its remastered version is coming later this year. What do you shoot at? Aliens, of course! We’ve managed to catch some specimens to introduce them to you. Watch out, they bite!

Me vs my responsibilities.

Baddies:

  • Pink Chewer - Quickly, do some pew-pew-pew before Pink Chewer does some chew-chew-chew!
  • Pink Slurper - It’ll make a smoothie from your brain if it gets to you!
  • Pink Snacker - Congratulations! Pink Snacker believes that you’re a legit snack. Let’s be honest, some brains aren’t enough for a proper meal.
  • Pink Eater - Pink Eater likes healthy food, like your brain. Prove him wrong. Become fast food. Literally.
  • Pink Biter - This one won’t even eat you, just take a bite. As if you were untasty. Rude.
  • Blue Aliens - Not really sure about these, some say they’re real, others say they aren’t.

A monster's worst fear is being found.

They would be much cuter if they weren’t trying to bite your head off! Remember these aliens well. This knowledge will help you when you face them.

Hot as hell in here.

The crops grow great this year! Sometimes you eat stuff on farms, sometimes stuff on farms eats you...

From Space is coming to PS4, Xbox One and Switch!

After a long time, we're very near to completing a goal that we set out to achieve when we first launched this game on Steam:

We are partnering with All in! Games to bring It came from space, and ate our brains to PS4, Xbox one and Switch! We've given the game a major overhaul and we're bringing new features, content and tons of improvements to the game that you guys know and love.

While we hope that most of you like the idea of this game coming to consoles, we fully understand that your platform of choice is Steam. Because of this, we're announcing that the PC version will be updated as well, allowing all of you to enjoy the new content on your favorite platform. For those who have already purchased From Space, the update will be completely free.

In the next few weeks, we will announce the exact details of the update, but for now there are a couple of things we can share:

  • This update will replace the current version of the game on Steam.
  • The original version of the game will remain available on a separate branch for those who want to continue playing it.
  • As the update has features different from the current game, the Steam store page will be updated to reflect those changes.
  • Achievements will also be updated to align with the latest update.
  • We are considering changing the price of the game on Steam. If this happens, it will change on (or close to) the day the update launches.
  • We are still actively working on the update.
  • We have not settled on a release date yet.

We want to extend a special thank-you to all of you who have purchased the game on Steam. What started out as an experiment turned into one of the titles we're most proud of at Triangle Studios.

Enjoy the summer, and make sure to follow us for more updates!
