The Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack and Update 2 are out now!
Hello Park Managers!
Several brand new dinosaurs are ready to be released into your parks - the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack and Update 2 are now available! Don't forget to update your game.
Check out the launch trailer below, and read on to see what this DLC and free update has in store:
The Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack gives you access to two new dinosaurs, two new dinosaur variants, and eight new dinosaur skins, all inspired by the hit animated show Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.
Create the frightening hybrid Scorpios rex and carnivorous Monolophosaurus, release Pierce the Kentrosaurus or a create a herd of the new variant Ouranosaurus to your parks.
Awe your guests with the Baryonyx trio Grim, Limbo and Chaos, or see how Toro gets along with your other Carnotauruses. Run away in fear from Big Eatie the T. rex, or bring fan favourite Bumpy to life with a new Ankylosaurus skin. Finally, the beautiful fluorescent Parasaurolophus Lux will be available to shine a light in the darkness.
Scorpios rex Scorpios rex was the first successful hybrid dinosaur created by Doctor Henry Wu, preceding the Indominus rex and Indoraptor. Wu eventually came to realise that the dinosaur was too aggressive and dangerous to become a park attraction. Don't forget to keep them well-fed and comfortable when housing them in your parks, or they may turn on you and your guests.
Monolophosaurus Monolophosaurus is a medium sized theropod first discovered in 1981 in China, hailing from the mid-Jurassic period. It's named for the single crest on its head, and is related to similarly crested dinosaurs like Cryolophosaurus. Like most carnivores in Jurassic World Evolution 2, they prefer their own company, and will need their prey needs satisfied. Don't forget to also provide them with water and they should be happy and healthy.
Ouranosaurus Variant The Ouranosaurus variant is inspired by the wild Ouranosaurus seen in Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. They're characterised by the spiny sail on their back, and a pronounced duck-bill like snout.
Kentrosaurus Variant (Pierce) This variant of Kentrosaurus is inspired by Pierce, a dinosaur encountered by the campers in Season 4 of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. It has bigger and more square-shaped plates, as well as more spikes along its back and tail compared to a standard Kentrosaurus.
Ankylosaurus skin (Bumpy) Initially rejected by Dr. Wu as a defect due to its asymmetrical appearance, Bumpy the Ankylosaurus eventually becomes a fierce protector of the Camp Cretaceous campers. Now she's available in your parks as a skin for your Ankylosauruses.
Baryonyx trio skins (Chaos, Grim, Limbo) These three Baryonyx are first seen in the second season of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. The three menace both the Camp Cretaceous campers and a pair of hunters looking to turn the dinosaurs into trophies. Now they're available as skins for Baryonyxes in Jurassic World Evolution 2.
Carnotaurus skin (Toro) Toro the Carnotaurus appears multiple times throughout the show. This fearsome predator encounters the campers on several occasions, before being soundly defeated. It's appearance is now available as a Carnotaurus skin in the game.
Parasaurolophus Lux skins Thanks to Dr. Wu's experimentations a subset of Parasaurolophus on Isla Nublar had bioluminescent genes from marine lifeforms incorporated into their DNA, causing them to produce their own light. These glow-in-the-dark dinosaurs are now available as two separate skins for Parasaurolophus.
T. rex skin (Big Eatie) Last, but certainly not least, a new T. rex skin is making its way to Jurassic World Evolution 2 in the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack. This is inspired by Big Eatie, a T. rex encountered in the fourth season of the hit animated series.
Update 2 Releasing alongside the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack is Update 2, a free update for everyone who owns Jurassic World Evolution 2! This update includes several new and exciting additions to the game.
All buildings and dinosaurs are now available in Sandbox Mode from the jump, letting you immediately begin building a Sandbox park without the need for unlocks. Dinosaur skin and pattern colours are also available, except for Challenge Mode unlocks. Another exciting feature is Research and Expeditions mechanics being a part of Sandbox Mode. This means you can start completely from scratch and work your way up in any and all Sandbox maps in the game. Expeditions and Research can be toggled on/off on the fly. Finally, you can fully turn off the need for Scientists in Sandbox Mode.
With Update 2 we're adding in over 40 new placeables for your parks, letting you further customise and add detail to your parks and facilities. Some of these new placeables are available in all eras, but some are restricted to specific eras. Players on PC and new-generation consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S) are able to access all eras in Sandbox Mode and can mix and match decorations. You will also be able to individually place trees in your parks and facilities. The trees are unique to each environment and come in 4 different varieties: Large, Medium, Small and Bushy. With these individually placeable trees, and the new decorative placeables you'll have more control over how your parks and your enclosures look and feel, and we're looking forward to see how you use them in your parks!
You will now be able to experience and explore your parks like never before! Update 2 adds a First Person View option to all modes in Jurassic World Evolution 2. You can move around any open areas of your parks, change your movement speed, and alternate your viewing height. There's even a light you can turn on when it gets dark! From First Person View you can interact with buildings and vehicles in your parks - you can begin synthesising dinosaurs, manage your Scientists, start a new Research task, or make changes to your Amenities buildings. You can also jump into a Ride or enter Viewing Galleries and Platforms from First Person View.
A new Species Viewer in the Main Menu will let you look at the game's dinosaurs and reptiles in more detail. All species are viewable in the Species Viewer by default, but Challenge Mode skins will be unavailable until you unlock them. You can cycle through the Skin and Pattern colours you've unlocked, as well as adjust the positioning of the lighting and colour grading.
With Update 2, Jurassic World Evolution 2 is getting NVIDIA DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing) support on PC for GeForce RTX 20 Series and GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics cards. NVIDIA DLAA is an AI-based anti-aliasing mode for users who have spare GPU headroom and want higher levels of image quality.
Last but not least, we are also rolling out a whole host of quality of life improvements with this free update, all of which can be found in the changelog below.

Species Field Guide - Scorpios rex
Welcome back, Park Managers, to another Species Field Guide!
In this series, we've been spotlighting and discussing some of the incredible dinosaurs and reptiles you're able to bioengineer and care for in Jurassic World Evolution 2, including both familiar and new faces, and we're incredibly excited to be able to continue sharing and highlighting them!
Last time, we shared a little more information about Parasaurolophus and the exciting new Parasaurolophus Lux skin that's included in the upcoming Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack, and we've got an entirely new dinosaur from the same pack to share with you, today...Scorpios rex!
[previewyoutube="cDwmnk6NSpo;full"]
Scorpios rex, a medium-sized carnivore, is a hybrid theropod created by Dr. Henry Wu as part of his 'E750 Clinical Trials', and named after the Scorpion Fish DNA in its genetic code.
Although it has a relatively short jaw, it's a powerful one, and Scorpios rex also possesses conical, sharp teeth of varying sizes, which make it a pretty formidable dinosaur. With a blunt snout and small, red eyes located high on its face, Scorpios rex is definitely an intimidating reptile!
A carnivore, the Scorpios rex is unpredictable and aggressive in nature, so you'll definitely want to keep this in mind when you're considering adding them to your dinosaur park. This means they won't cohabit well with other species, and will require access to plenty of meat in order to keep them happy.
We can't wait to see you placing Scorpios rex in your dinosaur parks, and we'll sure it'll be a welcome addition. Will you be bioengineering some for yours? Let us know, below.
Welcome back, Park Managers, to another Species Field Guide!
In this series, we've been spotlighting and discussing some of the incredible dinosaurs and reptiles you're able to bioengineer and care for in Jurassic World Evolution 2, including both familiar faces and new ones, and we're incredibly excited to be able to continue sharing and highlighting them!
Today, we're sharing an exciting new addition from the upcoming Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack: Parasaurolophus Lux!
[previewyoutube="_6etj0DCE0U;full"]
Parasaurolophus, a late-Cretaceous hadrosaurid, had a distinct curved crest and broad, flat mouth that made it an incredibly unique-looking dinosaur. Whilst the reason for its large, blunt crest isn't fully known, it's widely accepted that it was likely used for better communication, likely to help them produce sounds which may have served as warnings to the rest of the group. A herbivore, it's thought that Parasaurolophus was able to walk both biped and quadruped, running or reaching hard-to-get-to places on two legs and scavenging for food on four, and it lived in what is now North America.
Parasaurolophus Lux gain their bioluminescence from marine lifeforms which were incorporated into their DNA by Dr Henry Wu, to make them an even more exciting attraction for Masrani Global Corporation's Jurassic World, and omit a faint colourful glow at night time.
The addition of the new Parasaurolophus Lux skin is one we're incredibly excited to share with you in the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack. As the Parasaurolophus Lux is a bioluminescent skin for the Parasaurolophus, you'll definitely want to keep an eye on their enclosures at night to enjoy the sight of them glowing gently!
We can't wait to see you all enjoying your new Parasaurolophus Lux skin, and we're sure it'll be a welcome addition to your parks. Will you be bioengineering some for yours? Let us know, below.

Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack and Free Update 2 Coming 8 March 2022
Hello Park Managers... Or should we say Campers?
Prepare your parks and get ready to meet some exciting dinosaurs, from a frightening hybrid to several faces you may be familiar with. Buckle up, in this post we'll talk about our new additions as well as a free update!
Say hello to the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack:
[previewyoutube="4xTy-z87idU;full"]
With our latest DLC we're inspired by Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous! Soon you'll be able to get up close and personal with several new dinosaurs that are sure to give you and your guests a thrill.
Let's meet the dinosaurs of this particular pack: Scorpios rex, one of Dr. Henry Wu's first hybrids, will soon call your parks its home. With its blood-red eyes, black scales, jagged teeth, and aggressive nature, this fearsome specimen is bound to draw in guests looking for a fright. Don't forget to power those electric fences! Your adventurous guests will surely enjoy this dinosaur! Another exciting addition is the carnivorous Monolophosaurus! This medium sized carnivore has razor-sharp teeth and claws, making it an ideal hunter, and will be an excellent addition to any dinosaur park or facility.
As with other dinosaurs, Monolophosaurus and Scorpios rex have 12 different body colours and 7 different pattern colours, giving you over 80 different combinations to choose from.
You'll get to know the Scorpios rex a little better very soon, so keep an eye out.
Also arriving in the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack are 2 variants for herbivores Ouranosaurus and Kentrosaurus. These variants offer brand new sizes and models that will match how they look in the hit series. Now you can bio-engineer Pierce the Kentrosaurus, or a herd of Camp Cretaceous Ouranosaurus for your parks!
Of course, the Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous experience wouldn't be complete without a few more dinosaurs! With the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack you can bring named dinosaurs from the show to life in your parks using 8 new mesmerising dinosaur skins. Awe your guests with Baryonyx trio Grim, Limbo and Chaos, or see how Toro gets along with your other Carnotauruses. Run away in fear from Big Eatie the T. rex, or bring fan favourite Bumpy to life with a new Ankylosaurus skin. Finally, the beautiful fluorescent Parasaurolophus Lux will be available.
The Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur pack will be available for purchase for £7.99 ($9.99, €9.99) on PC, PlayStation and Xbox from 8 March, 2022. Please remember that you need to own Jurassic World Evolution 2 in order to access these new dinosaurs and variants, but they are unlocked for use immediately after purchasing the pack, both in Challenge and Sandbox Mode.
Next, lets talk about Update 2, a free update coming to Jurassic World Evolution 2, also on 8 March, 2022! We've got a lot to unpack here, so lets begin!
*Deep Breath*
Sandbox Changes
There are several major changes and new features coming to Sandbox Mode. The biggest is that all dinosaurs, skins and patterns will be available by default when starting a new Sandbox level, regardless of whether or not they have already been unlocked. This does not apply to the cosmetic awards you get in Challenge Mode, but everything else is unlocked by default. All buildings and upgrades will also be available by default when starting a Sandbox level. Please be aware that we are not getting rid of era specific buildings, but simply removing the unlock requirement to have them available in Sandbox Mode. If you want to start building a park or facility right away, with everything at your fingertips, you can do that after Update 2 drops.
Another new feature coming to Sandbox Mode is the option to play with Research and Expeditions mechanics. This means that you can start completely from scratch and work your way up in any and all Sandbox maps in Jurassic World Evolution 2.
Expeditions and Research can also be toggled on/off on the fly as you play, with no need to start a new park. Turning these off will instantly unlock all research and dinosaurs, and turning them back on again will set your Research and Expedition progress back to where it was.
Sandbox Mode can be further customised by adjusting Task Time Length in Sandbox Settings (10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%). This lets you change the amount of time it takes to complete timed tasks on the fly. You can also give yourself an even greater challenge with Jurassic level difficulty for Money and Appeal goals.
Finally, we're adding the option to fully turn off the need for Scientists in Sandbox Mode. With Scientists turned off, all tasks will simply complete as if a Scientist was assigned - from dinosaur creation to Research and Expeditions.
With this update you will have even more tools to create the Sandbox experience of your choice.
More Decorations
Good news, Park Managers: we're adding in over 40 new placeables for your parks, letting you further customise and add detail to your parks and facilities. These placeables are split into Facility Pieces and Decoration Pieces. Facility Pieces are made mainly to work with the DFW building sets, but are also perfect for Jurassic Park and Jurassic World era parks! Decoration Pieces will help your parks pop with new signs, planters and fountains. You'll also be able to add the Velociraptor Paddock and a Spinosaurus skeleton to your parks.
Some of these new placeables are available in all eras, but some are restricted to specific eras. Players on PC and new-generation consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S) are able to access all eras in Sandbox Mode and can mix and match decorations. We can't wait to see what kind of parks and enclosures you build with these new placeables! Check back at release for the full list of new decorations in our patch notes.
Placeable Tree
Speaking of placeables, you will soon be able to place individual trees in your parks and facilities. These will not only look great in both your parks and enclosures, they will also add to your dinosaurs' Forest comfort needs when used inside an enclosure. The trees are unique to each environment and come in 4 different varieties: Large, Medium, Small and Bushy. You won't be able to mix trees from different environments, but you can mix and match the different sizes as you see fit.
With these individually placeable trees, and the new decorative placeables, you'll have more control over how your parks and your enclosures look and feel, and we're looking forward to see how you use them in your parks!
First Person View
Soon you will be able to experience and explore your parks like never before! Update 2 adds a First Person View option to all modes in Jurassic World Evolution 2. While playing you'll be able to access First Person View from a dedicated button in the Build Menu on the left side of your screen. Select it, then choose a starting position in your park, and you'll instantly be on ground level.
Given the right circumstances you can even walk into your dinosaur enclosures and get an up-close and personal view of these majestic animals. Luckily they won't try to attack or eat you!
Species Viewer
With Update 2 we're adding a new Species Viewer to Jurassic World Evolution 2. This will be added as a new option in the Main Menu and allow you to look at the game's dinosaurs and reptiles in more detail. All species are viewable in the Species Viewer by default, but Challenge Mode skins will be unavailable until you unlock them. You can cycle through the Skin and Pattern colours you've unlocked, as well as adjust the positioning of the lighting and colour grading, and you can also play a few looped animations to see how they move when they walk, run, fly, or swim, to name a few.
Finally, if you're looking to learn how to pronounce dinosaur names, there's a name pronunciation guide built into the Species Viewer. Just click a button and you can both see and hear the species name pronunciation of a specific dinosaur or reptile.
Quality of Life Improvements
We are also rolling out a whole host of quality of life improvements with this free update. All the changes will be listed in our patch notes on 8 March, but we wanted to give you some highlights. After Update 2, you will be able to instantly sell all Minerals you unearth during expeditions. Where you would previously have to add them to the Extraction Queue, you can now instantly sell them to get some money back.
The Ranger Post is seeing some improvements as well. You will be able to assign MVUs to patrol Ranger Posts. MVUs patrolling the area covered by a Ranger Post will automatically treat Minor Injuries and Diseases that can be cured by medical darts, as well as heal dinosaurs in Critical Health conditions. MVU, Ranger and Capture Teams can also be assigned from specific Ranger Posts.
Certain Operations Buildings will get several new upgrades that will let you cut down on both task time and cost. You will also be able to give your MVU, Ranger and Capture Teams unlimited fuel and resources, as well as increase the Scientist Limit of various tasks.
On the Tour Rides side of things we're adding in a Jurassic World Gate that you can use for the Jurassic Tour and Gyrosphere attractions. This works similarly to the Jurassic Park Gate, acting as an imposing and impressive doorway on your Park Tours. There's a ton of new contracts being rolled out for Jurassic World Evolution 2, to further encourage you to add to or improve your parks and facilities. These range from increasing the largest territory size, to building Lagoons and Aviaries, to releasing specific dinosaurs or photographing multiple species at once. In addition to this we're adding a time completion bonus to a large number of contracts, so if you want that extra bit of cash it's worth it to finish them quickly!
Finally, certain dinosaur behaviours are getting a small update, specifically related to group attacks and hunts. Prey dinosaurs now have the potential to flee when a group attack starts, and prey can even outrun predators if the predator runs out of stamina. Some defending dinosaurs may even attempt to charge an oncoming group of predators! We've also made a slight tweak to Indominus Rex and Velociraptor cohabitation, letting the two species form a single territory together.
NVIDIA DLAA Support
With Update 2, Jurassic World Evolution 2 is getting NVIDIA DLAA support on PC for GeForce RTX 20 Series and GeForce RTX 30 Serues graphics cards. This new anti-aliasing feature uses A.I.-assisted technology to improve anti-aliasing at native resolution, leading to smoother edges on objects.
These were just the highlights, and there are more details to come about Update 2 when we release the full patch notes on 8 March.
We're incredibly excited about this next step forward for Jurassic World Evolution 2, and we can't wait to hear what you have to say. Do you have a favourite from Camp Cretaceous that you're excited to include in your park? Or perhaps one of the features in the free update has caught your eye? Let us know in the comments below!

Jurassic World Evolution 2: Early Cretaceous Pack and Update 1 are out now!
Hello Park Managers!
Thank you for joining us on our journey through time to look for dinosaur and reptile fossils! We've returned to the modern era and we are just in time - the Early Cretaceous Pack and Update 1 are now available! Update your game to ensure you get access to everything.
[previewyoutube="G2tgq0Dmaqs;full"]
The Early Cretaceous Pack introduces two new land dinosaurs, one new flying reptile, and one new marine reptile to Jurassic World Evolution 2, all hailing from the Early Cretaceous Period. Research and locate the dig sites for the mighty Wuerhosaurus, the miniscule Minmi, the soaring Dsungaripterus, and the powerful Kronosaurus. They are sure to bring even more guests to your parks!
Wuerhosaurus Wuerhosaurus is a herbivorous stegosaurid originally discovered in Xinjiang in China in 1973. Like other stegosaurids, they prefer to eat Ground Fibre and Fruit in their enclosures, and can get along well with other herbivores, mainly hadrosaurids, pachycephalosaurids, and sauropods. If a fight breaks out they will use their powerful tail spikes to try to injure their opponents.
Minmi The Minmi is a small ankylosaurid discovered in Australia in 1964. While they lack the thick tail club of their Ankylosaurus cousins, their bodies are still armoured, offering some protection from predators. We wouldn't recommend placing them in an enclosure with a carnivore though. Make sure they have Ground Fruits and Nuts, as well as a bit of water, and they should be happy and healthy.
Dsungaripterus Dsungaripterus also lived in China, and was discovered in the Junggar Basin in 1964. It had an average wingspan of around 3 meters, and a rather robust skeleton. If you decide to house them in an Aviary, they will need plenty of fish, as well as some rock and sand in their environment, making them a good companion for the Dimorphodon
Kronosaurus This marine reptile is named after the leader of the Greek Titans, and was first discovered in Queensland, Australia. The Kronosaurus is a predator, preferring mainly to live with its own kind. Keep them away from the smaller marine reptiles, or they just might make them into their dinner!
All of these new dinosaurs and reptiles can be customised by modifying their skin colour and pattern colour to give them a unique look. All will be available in your game immediately after you've purchased this DLC. No in-game researching or release needed; you can use them directly in Sandbox Mode. We can't wait to see what sort of enclosures you build for these amazing animals.
Update 1
Releasing alongside the Early Cretaceous Pack is Update 1, a free update for everyone who owns Jurassic World Evolution 2! This includes several new and exciting additions to the game: You will now have access to more playable maps, more buildings, flat Sandbox Maps, and rock perch points for flying reptiles. There's also a slew of quality of life changes, gameplay and difficulty tweaks, and bug fixes in Update 1.
Are you yearning to return to the majesty of Yosemite? Do you wish you could build a new dinosaur park near the Pennsylvania airport? The five maps from Campaign Mode are now available in Sandbox Mode, letting you take advantage of these unique and wonderful locations. If you want to replay a specific level from the campaign, you can also do that, because we've added a level select screen for Campaign Mode! Any level you've completed can now be replayed as often as you want.
Speaking of the campaign, you can now use DFW themed buildings in Sandbox Mode! As well as the DFW buildings you've seen in Campaign mode, we've added new buildings alongside them such as Lagoon, Aviaries and Restrooms to name a few. We're also releasing additional Jurassic Park themed buildings, specifically Lagoons and Aviaries, so you can now have marine and flying reptiles in your Jurassic Park era Sandbox. These building sets are part of the free update and will be automatically added to your game when you download the update. This gives you a total of three full building sets to use in Jurassic World Evolution 2's Sandbox Mode.
When starting off on a new Sandbox map, you now have the option to begin with a completely flat, tree-less version of the map. This also removes the Monorail entrance on the Nublar 2015 map. We've also added Colour Grading options to your Sandbox Settings, letting you change the colour tone of a specific level, and an auto paint option to landscaping tools, letting you automatically paint the terrain as you're changing it. Finally, you can now set dinosaur Combat Frequency in Sandbox Settings, letting you completely turn off dinosaur fights if you wish.
Finally, flying reptiles can now perch on rocks placed inside Aviaries, giving them some well-deserved rest between bouts of flying.
Dig into the rest of the changes coming in Update 1 in the patch notes below.
Have fun Park Managers!

Species Field Guide - Kronosaurus
Welcome back, Park Managers, to our latest Species Field Guide!
In this series of articles, we've been spotlighting and discussing some of the incredible dinosaurs and reptiles you're able to care for and bioengineer in Jurassic World Evolution 2, including both new and familiar faces, and we're incredibly excited to be able to continue highlighting them!
Today we're introducing you to a new addition from our upcoming Early Cretaceous Pack: Kronosaurus!
[previewyoutube="bW1UnZDzcd0;full"]
Named after the Greek Titan, Kronos (also known as Cronus), Kronosaurus was, fittingly, one of the largest pliosaurs It had an elongated head, short neck, and stiff body, which was propelled by four flippers, making it a relatively agile predator.
Interestingly, despite Kronosaurus' impressive size, its teeth were surprisingly blunt, lacking the sharpness commonly associated with the largest marine predators, and is thought to have made up for this bluntness with an impressive jaw strength and agility.
Kronosaurus isn't a particularly sociable reptile, so you don't have to worry about keeping too many together in your lagoons - just make sure you have plenty of open space, and a well-stocked Shark Feeder to keep them happy!
We're so pleased to have been able to share this new addition from the Early Cretaceous DLC with you! Kronosaurus is an incredibly interesting marine reptile that we're sure will be a welcome addition to your parks. Will you be bioengineering them for yours? Let us know in the comments, below!
Don't forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for all things Jurassic World Evolution 2! You can find out more about purchasing Jurassic World Evolution 2here. The Early Cretaceous Pack launches 9 December, and you can add it to your wishlist here:
Jurassic World Evolution 2 Update 1 and Early Cretaceous Pack coming 9 December!
Hello Park Managers!
Grab your Ranger Gear, because we're heading out on an archeological dig! We're excited to announce the Early Cretaceous Pack coming to Jurassic World Evolution 2 on 9 December. The Early Cretaceous Pack adds two new land dinosaurs, one new flying reptile, and one new marine reptile to the game, all from the Early Cretaceous Era.
You'll be getting to know Wuerhosaurus, Minmi, Dsungaripterus and Kronosaurus a little better over the next week, but you can check out the Species Field Guide for Kronosaurus in the video below:
[previewyoutube="bW1UnZDzcd0;full"] If you find yourself in Hyde Park in London on 8 and 9 December, you can see the Kronosaurus come to life over the Serpentine during the evening, after sunset.
Releasing alongside the Early Cretaceous Pack is free Update 1! The Jurassic World Evolution 2 team has been hard at work making this world evolved even bigger than before. Update 1 will introduce more playable maps, more building sets, rock perch points for flying reptiles, and several other quality of life changes. and bug fixes. Read on to learn more:
DFW/JP Building Sets Buildings and fences from the Department of Fish and Wildlife will be available in Sandbox Mode starting from 9 December. If you enjoyed the campaign mode and wanted to continue building using the DFW's building set, you'll be able to use them very soon. Update 1 includes a full set of DFW buildings, from Restrooms and Lagoons, to Hotels and Viewing Platforms. We're also releasing additional Jurassic Park themed buildings, specifically Lagoons and Aviaries, so you can have marine and flying reptiles in your Jurassic Park era Sandbox.
Campaign Sandbox Levels After Update 1 you can use the five campaign maps in Sandbox Mode. Revisit the Arizona desert, the Washington State mountains, the Pennsylvania airport, the forests of Oregon, and Yosemite National park in Sandbox and create some amazing dinosaur parks or facilities. We can't wait to see what you build in these locations. Which map will you build on first?
Flattened Sandbox Levels Do you prefer to start with a blank slate in Sandbox Mode? After Update 1 you can! When you start up Sandbox Mode you will now have the option to start with a completely flat, tree-less version of any map. You can then modify the map topography and flora as you wish!
Rock Perch Points Flying reptiles can now perch on rocks placed inside an Aviary, letting you and your guests appreciate their majesty when they rest between flights.
Balance Changes We've done a few changes to game balancing based on some of your feedback. The frequency of storms and disease outbreaks in Chaos Theory should be less frequent after this patch, as should disease outbreaks in Easy and Medium difficulty Challenge levels. We've also made some tweaks to the Dominance stat, which should cut down on dinosaur fights, as well as decreased the likelihood of dinosaur fights causing injuries. Finally, we've rebalanced the combat stats of dinosaurs that can be involved in group hunts.
Accessibility Additions Update 1 also comes with several accessibility additions. We've added in different subtitle colours for each speaker, an adjustable autosave frequency, and the game can be paused during cutscenes. The DLC and free Update 1 will release on 9 December at 14:00 GMT, or at the following times in the time zones listed below:
We hope you're looking forward to all these new changes and additions. Update 1 will come with various other tweaks and bug fixes, and the full list of patch notes will be released on launch, 9 December. Let us know what you think in the comments below! Be sure to keep an eye out on our socials for more information and screenshots about the dinosaurs and reptiles from the Early Cretaceous Pack. You can follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, or join the discussions on our forums!
