Mini patch this week, we ended up losing a chunk of the data we use to balance the game on the weekend (y'all are playing way more than we expected lol) and had some business stuff to handle.
More balance changes and a new "catch up" mechanic to allow players that join the season later face higher ranked enemies when on a winstreak.

While on a winstreak roll (5+ wins out of the last 6 matches), the player will be matched against players with 10 times more points than them. You still have to beat them if you want points!

The new game mode is out! Welcome to the arena heroes!
During our beta we've had more than 2.000 matches played and 250 beta testers! Thank you so much for our testers, we couldn’t iron things out without your help. We will keep an eye on the meta and keep printing patches as seasons go by.
-Plague damage (2/3/4) -> (3/4/5) -Lvl3 The Cure side effect armor 5 -> 10 -Lvl3 The Cure side effect haste 100% -> 150% -Lvl3 The Cure side effect barkskin 1 -> 2 -Lvl3 All side effects duration 3s -> 5s
-Duels only -Epic 5 cost item -Gives the party 1 Barkskin, but slows them down -When the Barkskin is lost, gains movement speed. The owner also gains a chunk of haste!
Patch 1.1.0b - Beta

The beta tests are going great, we are now done with almost all core systems. Our first open beta balance changes are using the popularity of heroes (low picks and high picks). We have already implemented better tools for the new season, so we hope to get more and more precise with time.

Terms and Conditions
Now we have a little agreement before starting duels for the first time, it explains our rules and how we are handling data collection.
Regarding data collection, we are only storing the parties being played and the public Steam ID. The Steam ID is shared with other players to show who they are facing and is stored for 1 week (the duration of a season). It is shared for 1 additional week for the top 3 players as they sit on an honor spot until the next season champions are defined.
If you want to revise the Terms and Conditions, you can find them under the "Go Back" button on the first shop screen.
Game Mode Rules
We've also added general rules of the Duel mode, such as how many rounds, which rounds are PvE, and so on.

The King announces a new Beta!
Hello again heroes!
We've been away a loooong time thinking about our whole development cycle, our future plans, and what else could we do with Just King. Out of all our crazy ideas, our most unrealistic one turned out pretty fun in the end: we are adding PvP to Just King!
Today we are launching the open beta to stress test our servers and catch any bugs that might be troublesome once we start the leaderboards for real!
*NEW* Game mode: Duel
The new game mode is a full autobattler that pitches one player's party against another's.
You will have access to all your unlocked heroes and items to assemble your party, then our servers will fetch a stored party form another player for you to face. The mode is a full autobattler, so once the battle starts you just sit back and watch the mayhen!
Of course, as all parties are full of the King's dearest heroes, the King himself doens't participate on either side, he is the arbiter, a Just Arbiter! (sorry)
Objective
You score points if you win the 10th round. Your run ends if you lose twice before round 10 or if you lose on round 10.
At each Tuesday, a server reset happpens and the top 3 players are placed in the Weekly Leadeboard for extra honor and validation.
Round structure
Runs are a mix between PvE and PvP rounds, totalling 10 rounds. A full run takes from 10 to 15 minutes.
Rounds 1, 4, and 7 are PvE against Nanas, all the other rounds are PvP.
Adjustments
All heroes had their status and skills modified for this mode, as a baseline, all gained +50% HP and +1 armor per level. Lots of other small changes to values and scales so you will need to check the tooltips to theorycraft your dream party.
Items also have been adjusted and we even have a new Duel-only item - Ninja Gear - which allows your hero to jump into the enemy backline at the start of the battle!

-New extra difficulty for enemies as a modifier option (not a new difficulty, you can activate this on any difficulty). It gives enemies extra Armor, Damage, and makes Sudden Death faster, if enabled
Enemies
-Z2 boss (Owl) now can shoot Icicles while inside the Frozen Cocoon -Shadow Huntress mSpeed buff on trap set 25% for 2s -> 10% for 1s
