The recent updates of "KAKU: Ancient Seal" are as follows:

Game experience adjustments:



1. Optimize the attack judgment of the Baruch totem in the field. Now the attack will be automatically aimed at the totem, and there is no need to hit as many times as before.

2. Added the blood bar styles of monsters with different strengths. Now the blood bars of monsters will change according to the level difference with the protagonist. You can distinguish the strength of monsters more clearly.

3. Optimize the aiming operation tips when using the keyboard and mouse.

4. Optimize the chest save settings in [Stalagmite Pond], [Mushroom Forest] area. You will automatically save the game after opening chests in these areas.

5. Optimize the description of the special attributes of [Onion Headgear].

6. Optimize the transmission speed of the conveyor belt in [Stalagmite Pond], [Mushroom Forest].

7. Increase the rewards of Ponpon Side Quests.

Update of KAKU: Ancient Seal on May 12

Adventurers,

We are very happy to tell you that after our continuous testing over the past few days, the custom button function for keyboard and mouse has now been implemented. And according to everyone's feedback, some bugs have been fixed, and the design of some underground ruins has been adjusted. The detailed updates are as follows:

Special surprise: [keyboard and mouse button customization] function is now implemented, and you can set buttons according to your own habits.



Game experience adjustments:



1. Optimize the puzzle solving pattern in front of [The Ancient Guardian] on the left side of the Temple [Storm Trial], delete the deadly mechanism, reduce the height of the player who is blown by the wind, and re-adjust the layout of the mechanism platform.

2. Optimize the terrain on the left side of the Temple [Storm Trial], and now you can jump back to the central platform.

3. Optimize the left area of Temple [Storm Trial] , delete some deadly mechanisms.

4. Adjust some of the death mechanisms of the underground ruin [Light Wheel of Time]

5. Optimize the death judgment in water areas. Now shallow water areas can be explored with confidence, players will not die immediately when they encounter shallow water.

6. Increase the danger prompt when the player is close to the water.

7. Reduce the difficulty of the underground ruin [Tempting Fate], delete some deadly mechanisms, and slow down the speed of the track.

3. Fixed the problem that in [Sacred Woods], [Emerald Riverbank], and [Rock Island] areas of [Howling Snowfield], Ponpons would not be revived and the side missions could not be completed.

4. Fixed the problem that the cooling time displayed abnormally when [Kylin Roll] were upgraded.

Known issues:



1.At present, there are problems in some underground ruins where the wind speed of the mechanism is too fast and the frequency of jamming projectiles is too high. We have identified this issue and will fix it as soon as possible. Currently this issue can be resolved by lowering the FPS cap to 60.

On the basis of yesterday's update, we have fixed some bugs that will affect the game experience. Special Note: Players using a laptop may display an integrated graphics card in the game, but in fact the game uses a discrete graphics card by default. This is a text display error, we will fix it as soon as possible. In addition, please turn on the power when playing, otherwise the system may automatically adjust to power saving mode, and then frame drops will occur.



Anti-stuck: Press and hold the [number 0] on the keyboard or the [left menu key] on the handle to return to the previous save point.



Bug fixes:



1. Deleted the spikes on the pedals in the ancient ruins [Drifting Fairyland] to prevent death by misuse.

2. Fix the problem that the fan failed to start in the ancient ruins [Light Wheel of Time].

Update of KAKU: Ancient Seal on May 5

Adventurers, 

The Early Access version of KAKU: Ancient Seal has just launched on Steam. We have collected a lot of feedback about the game, and we have already fixed some issues. We will continue to work on bug fixes and gameplay enhancements throughout the Early Access campaign. Additionally, we’ve recorded the problems of optimization mentioned by some players, and are working hard to solve them. If there’s any progress regarding the aforementioned issues, we will update and inform everyone as soon as possible.

Game experience adjustments:



1. Added visual effects to the Crystal Tower and Star Altar; now it is easier to find the location of the Crystal Tower and Star Altar.

2. Cancel the original loop playback interval of BGM; now BGM will not disappear suddenly.

3. Added danger prompts for monsters; when you face monsters that are far stronger than you, danger prompts will appear.

4. Adjust the killing rewards of golden monsters; after killing, they will drop【Essence of Health】and【Essence of Stamina】.

5. Optimize monster killing rewards; as the difficulty of different areas rises, the drops will increase.

6. In the last area of each continent, the difficulty of monsters decreases. The detailed areas are as follows: 【Stalagmite Pond】【Mushroom Forest】【Paya Volcano - Crater】【Paya Volcano - Abyss】【Wolf Snowfield】【Sandglass Glacier】【Howling Stone Forest】【Valley of Despair】【Black Dragon Valley】【Eternal Highlands】.

Solution for unable to open the game or low frame rate

When checking the comment areas of various platforms, we found that some players have problems with the game not opening, black screen, or low frame rate of mid-to-high-end graphics cards.

We are continuing to track the problem and will continue to work hard to optimize it. At present, it has been found that the low frame rate may be caused by the wrong use of the graphics card.

Notice: If the game is installed on HDD, it may be slow to load when you open the game for the first time due to the HHD read speed problem, so you need to wait patiently. We are already trying to optimize, thank you for your understanding.

Players who encounter problems can try the following methods. If the problem still cannot be solved, you are welcome to give feedback on our Discord server or in the Steam community.

Changing graphics card settings to use your dedicated GPU on a Windows computer



The following is a good guide for how to get this done:

NVIDIA Graphics Cards



1. For NVIDIA cards, click on Adjust Image Settings with Preview, select Use my preference emphasizing: Performance and click Apply.



2. Click on Manage 3D Settings and open the drop down menu for Global Settings. Select the High-performance NVIDIA processor as your preferred graphics processor and click Apply.



3. Open the drop down menu for Program Settings and click Add. Search for the Serato Video application

(The location for earlier versions is C:/Program Files(x86) / Common Files / Serato / Serato Video / Serato Video)

(The location for newer versions is C:/Program Files(x86) / Common Files / Serato / Serato DJ / Serato Video)

And double click to select it. Open the drop down menu and select the High-performance NVIDIA processor as the preferred graphics processor for this program and click Apply. Do the same for your host Serato software also - Scratch Live, Serato DJ or ITCH.)



4. Click on Set PhysX configuration, open the drop down menu and select your NVIDIA card (the name is dependent on your exact card) as the PhysX processor. Click Apply and you are done.

Re-start your computer and open your Serato software and Serato Video to test. If you can't open Serato Video and still get the message that you are using an Intel graphics card, you may need to go towww.nvidia.com and download the latest drivers.



ATI/AMD Radeon Cards


NOTE: There is a huge variation in versions of the ATI/AMD Radeon Catalyst Control Center for adjusting the settings for these cards so the following should be seen more as indicative than actual. Even if your Control Center looks different to these images, the principles are the same and you should be able to find similar options to those described here.

1. For ATI/AMD Radeon cards, go to Graphics > PowerPlay - Set Plugged In and Battery to Maximum Performance. Click Apply.



2. If applicable to your graphics card, go to Graphics > 3D and move the slider across to Performance so it is set for Optimal Performance. Click Apply. NOTE: This function might not be available on all ATI models.



3. If your Catalyst Control Center has the Switchable Graphics tab go there and browse to locate seratovideo.exe and set it for High Performance. Click Apply. Do the same for your host Serato software also - Scratch Live, Serato DJ or ITCH.

Recently, we received many private questions from would-be adventurers, and decided to share our answers with all of you. Come and take a look!

What is the current form of release for the game?



A: The game is currently released in the form of Early Access. Players who purchase the game during the Early Access stage can enjoy all subsequent updates for free, and their game will automatically update to the official version at no additional cost. When the official version of the game launches, there will be a price increase.


How much difference is there between the planned official version and the Early Access version?



A: First of all, the core gameplay of the Early Access version will be consistent with the final release, but we plan to add more exploration, puzzle solving, and combat for the full launch. The added content is mainly to expand around the existing core gameplay.

Additionally, based on the feedback and suggestions from players during the Early Access period, we will optimize and improve the game, and there may be new game content added to the official version in the future. 


What are the future update plans?



A: We will have separate announcement notices for specific update plans.


Does the game support multiplayer online?



A: Unfortunately, we will not be adding a multiplayer mode to the game. Our current plan is to make the game the best it can be as a single-player adventure, and we’re aiming to release the official version as soon as possible. Perhaps we can implement multiplayer in a future sequel though? Time will tell!


Does KAKU: Ancient Seal feature gamepad support?



A: We offer gamepad support, but we haven't adapted and optimized different controllers yet. We plan to complete the adaptation and optimization of various controllers during the Early Access period.


Will there be a console version in the future?



A: We plan to launch on console platforms in late 2023 or early 2024.


How do I report bugs encountered during gameplay?



A: You can report bugs through our Twitter or Discord.


Can I play it with Steam Deck?



A:Basically, it can run smoothly (note: lowering the light and shadow quality level will significantly improve the gaming experience). However, there are still some problems, and we will continue to optimize and adapt during the early access period.
