Christmas Patch!

Once again we have a new patch for you guys with a quite easier 2. chapter and a new 3rd one ;)

Patch notes:

-Made the lobby Christmas themed!
-Released chapter 3 for the singleplayer campaign
-Made chapter 2 easier
-Fixed right clicking not being responsive
-Fixed a rare bug that sometimes multiple units would become tower owners
-Network Optimization
-Made bots' orders more effective
-Added a max 3 round buildup for bots in campaign to prevent doomstacks

Hotfix 02-12-2017
-Added +4 base income for the player in Chapter 2
-Fixed an enemy archer that would spawn through the wall in Chapter 2

Campaign has launched!

Our new singleplayer campaign has launched and a lot of heart and effort went into this! We truly hope you will enjoy it!

The second mission is quite hard and might take a few "shots" to complete, however it is not imposible. But if too many people find it too difficult please voice your opinion and we will make it a bit easier.

Patch notes:

-Updated Unity to the newest version
-Added 2 first chapters to the singleplayer campaign
-Added Clan, Profile and Ranking tabs for later use
-Reworked medics, they will now stand behind your troops and heal them
-Reworked Melee combat, units will now pick targets much more intelligent
-Multiple towers can now be selected (Use shift for now)
-AI has been improved and won't mindlessly attack each round
-Reworked projectile physics
-Reworked functionality of the menu
-Fixed a networking error making the UI taking up lots of networking messages
And lots of other bugfixes and improvements!

So as some of you perhaps have noticed we've been a bit silent with the updates these last weeks. But we want to assure you that's not because we aren't working on the game. Actually we've decided to add a completely new aspect to the game which was never promised, and you as players will of course get it for free!

So what have we been up to:

We've decided to add a singleplayer campaign to the game, this will be with dialogues, quest, custom units and of course a story!



So doing that initially took a bit of time since the game wasn't actually built to play singleplayer and everything was networked. And since we didn't want players to go through a lobby every time they would play a match this feature required a bit of reworking. Also we needed some new programming to handle quest, death effects and so forth.

Futhermore we decided to update Unity to the newest version which caused a bit of errors for us, this as well has taken up a bit of time to fix. However it has of course also added some better tools for us as well as an upgraded engine.



Creating the campaign has also simultaneously created a need for an updated AI, the bots will now make smarter choices and won't mindlessly use all their gold and attack each round.

Regarding the campaign we've decided to release in chapters since it could take months before Act 1 is finished, this might change with the later Acts.



We expect to release the first chapter/mission for the campaign in a few weeks since we want it to be polished and working perfectly. However after we got the whole system worked out releasing new missions shouldn't take that long.

At last we've also for those interested decided to set up a Patreon page, we want to emphasize that by purchasing the game here on Steam you've of course more than done your part to support us making this game the very best it can be! Hence the Patreon should be seen more as a way of donating additionally to help the development.

Last day of promotion

Hey guys it's our last day of the 10% promotion, so if you're thinking of picking up the game now it's probably a good time :)

AI is here!

Patch notes:

-Fixed melee combat
-Added more sync calls to unit movement
-Increased Bandwitdh limit per user
-Increased the networking buffer
-Added AI!!

Regarding the AI:
The Bots/AI can be added in both singleplayer and multiplayer custom games. They're still Work in-progress and will be improved in future patches. However they're still pretty fun to play against so jump in and try them out!

AI is coming!

We're proud to present that finally AI/Bots are coming to King of the World! This will result in the posibility for players to play "Singleplayer" or simply fill up their multiplayer games to enhance the experience.

New update!

The new update has arrived, so here's the patch notes!

-Added a global message when a player leaves or disconnects from a game
-Made the units of left players stay in game
-Fixed a bug that units weren't able to take over empty towers
-Fixed combat/attack move so units won't just stand still in larger battles
-Made more of the skins playable (Not avalaible to players)
-Optimized the Material usage of cavalry

Additionally we've been doing a lot of behind the scenes work for the next major update, it will contain our most requested feature and will arrive fairly soon! More information about this will be announced soon :)
