Release 3.3 is Live: Big Improvements for Steam Players
Two of our most requested changes are now live!
1) Energy has been removed from your first play through the campaign. All battle nodes cost 0 energy until you have defeated them - whether that's one battle or 20! Energy is now only used as a balancer for grinding gold from defeated nodes and for reward nodes (treasure chests, etc.).
2) Our screen resolution handling has been improved. Wide screen monitors will now display chat at all time, making in-battle chat much easier.
Additional bug fixes:
- Creatures that destroy themselves (like Grizzle Beast) will no longer be prevented from doing so if they are Indestructible.
- The following cards and abilities will no longer affect Elara: Flesh Seeker, Essence Shift, Amarus' Twisted Bond ability
- Effects that steal HP will no longer grant the HP if the HP is not reduced on the target (example: Abaddon's Drain Life on Elara)
- The volume levels of the music and sound effects have been improved throughout the game. New music and sound effects are on their way!
A Clarification on Elara: Her card text will prevent any ability that says "Lose X HP" (the little heart icon). It will not prevent any ability that permanently changes her health, such as Inner Fire which reads "Target creature gets +1 ATK -1 HP".
Steam Players: We're Listening
To all of the Steam players who have tried Kingdoms CCG:
Thank you. Thank you for playing and thank you for letting us know your thoughts on the game, both positive and negative.
When we took over the game from its original developers, it was our goal to make Kingdoms CCG one of the top digital TCGs available. We focused on refining the balancing of the game and releasing new content - the hero Nomad and the new set Light Ascending.
What we have heard, loud and clear, is that there are two other issues that Steam players need us to address: Energy and Screen Resolution.
We can now announce that both of these issues are being dealt with:
Energy: As of our next release (currently slated for Feb. 18th) Energy will no longer be required for the first play through of the campaign. That's right. You will be able to work your way through the campaign unencumbered. If it takes you 1 battle or 50 to beat a battle node, you'll never pay Energy. Energy will only be used when you return to a past node to grind it for gold and for reward nodes (like the Chests).
And remember, Arena battles, Guild Wars and Tournaments do not, and never will, use Energy. There are many ways to play!
Screen Resolution: We are currently working on ensuring that the game provides the full experience for all screen resolutions. Widescreen monitors will now have the chat open at all times. Our long term goal is to rework all 800+ cards and 21 heroes to display at full resolution at 1080p. We won't stop until Kingdoms CCG looks great on every monitor.
So whether you've applauded us or slagged us, we appreciate your feedback. It's helped us focus our efforts, and we hope to hear more from you in the future.
Cheers,
The Kingdoms CCG team

R3.1 Released!
Today we have released a number of fixes and adjustments based on community feedback.
Tournaments
All Paid Tournaments (those with a Ticket Entry cost) will now award Light Ascending packs as prizes.
For our many new players, we are currently working on a new special prize pack for tournaments that will include all of the cards from our first three expansions, Eve, Rise and Tribes. When ready, we'll add this to the tournament rotation. We're also reviewing the overall tournament schedule to make it more fun for new players, including reintroducing the Pauper and Kingdoms formats. We'll have more on this in a later update.
Tribes
Tribes packs have been reduced in Gem price and are now available for Gold at a price of 20,000 per pack.
Rare Prices
The prices of rare singles in Eve, Rise and Tribes have been reduced overall.
Raise the Guard
Due to an unexpected interaction between Indestructible and self-sacrificing creatures (they don't die when Indestructible) we have removed the granting of Indestructible from Raise the Guard. We will be working to fix this interaction in an upcoming release, and at that time may reintroduce Indestructible to the card.
Note that yes, you can still achieve this using Belnir's 4 charge ability, but as this can't happen on turn 1 and takes effort to set up, we're leaving this as is.
Bug Fixes
Inverted Hourglass will no longer cause Out of Sync errors while being used in PVP.
AI Defending has been given an overhaul. It will no longer set creatures to defend improperly, and will be more likely to defend properly. Creatures with 1 Health and Armor will also no longer set themselves to Defend while Bleed is in play.
Realm Crusher will no longer count creatures with Indestructible as having been destroyed when setting its ATK/Health
Steam users can now use the Password Reset feature.
