Hangman

The character you see on the screenshot above is the character that will be hung in the story.




The project is undergoing major technical changes. All character movement has been changed to make the game more dynamic. Playing is more fun. The settlement with the castle is becoming increasingly recognized. There are special places, big and small. Normal and mysterious. The whole area is varied with the atmosphere of medieval times. We have made an interesting castle underground, where you will discover several places with a disturbing history. Small details take the most work, but it goes the right way!

Hi everyone!


We are very motivated by how much this project is developing day by day. We have added many new elements such as houses, home furnishings, doors, loading screen .. and a new UI will be added soon. The look of the game is changing drastically and we think it's for good! It took us a lot to fine-tune some elements, such as water - it is really difficult to work to make it look seriously realistic! Or the sky and the light, you have to really think hard to make it look realistic and consistent.



Well, but what's up with this flag? So this is May 1 in Poland.


It is "Work Day", so you have a free day from your work. It sounds funny, but it's really true. When we were children, it often looked like we didn't have to go to school and then we could sit at home and make some small pc games.

You will ask – why we write about May 1st and put it on May 3rd. Well – it was a day off.

Btw. Today it’s May 3d - the anniversary of the enactment of the Constitution. One of the most important anniversary in Poland.

Knights fought for centuries to have the document of rights like that... sadly none of them survived to see this as it was done in 1791.

DevLog#3

We are playing the next version of the game! The game is slowly taking on interesting shapes! The world around the hero is beautiful and realistic, the stronghold - like taken out of the past - probably existed somewhere in the Middle Ages! A small dungeon is being built under the castle walls. It has the atmosphere of knightly facilities ... there are places where we can raise our hero to a higher level or get tasks.

Three new and important places! Blacksmith's house, shop and witch's hut, where we will improve the parameters for the right amount of gold or other activities. These are very interesting places, hidden in the village under the castle, in addition, you can see these three characters in their daily work.



The castle has gained a few new chambers, a few secret basements, but it will still be more developed in the next stages of work on the game. You can sometimes feel like in classic dungeons. We will also meet a witch there, whom we will secretly help.



The main character has been developed, its visual appearance has been improved, we now see hands, a shield that can be defended and charged at enemies! In addition, the whole area as if it became lush, richer ... beautiful grasses, bushes, water reservoirs, bridges ... Moving around in this large world is a joy!

The most interesting element that has been added is ... Village defense! Briefly saying that the villagers are asking us for help in the fight against bandits. We, as a good knight, must drive out or kill the bandits.



From the technical side. We've improved the overall rendering of the world, and we're still working on good lighting. We also plan to divide locations into separate levels. For example, entering the castle will load its only content of the castle so as not to take too much computer resources. Same with other buildings and huts. We are still improving the character's movement so that you can feel realism.
We also had to buy more RAM for our computers, because not enough, slowed down our work. From now on, we can work on our game even faster and more accurately. It has already been of great use to us when burning lights that are still in-progress.
In the next stage of work, we will expand the stronghold with new places, enrich the area with details, and another interesting thing will be introduced: knight tournaments! We will add and improve new missions, dialogues and, as every month, we will introduce corrections and new comments from our testers.

Playing the latest version of the game, I'll say boldly: a lot of new things have been changed or added! Everything you know i.e. buildings of the castle, walls and rocks, nooks and crannies with beer barrels - all of these are being built from the scratch.



The castle has gained a tangible size... when you look at it from a bird's eye view, gliding in a circling motion over the hill, you can see the vastness of the place, truly medieval features of the walls, villages around the fortress, here and there clumps of forest.



The area given for exploration is quite massive. The castle itself has a layout close to historical realities, a large courtyard, the main gate to which the road leads through the elevation. The interiors are: large chambers, stone and wooden stairs in many places, many corridors to smaller and side dungeons.



We can already run, crouch... have conversations, collect items for a lot of equipment and fight! In the current version, we can kill a knight who is spinning near the main gate. It's super impressive to drop your opponent from the stairs, escape, attack.



At the moment we are making numerous optical corrections - visual, repairing minor technical shortcomings of the movement, introducing a new interaction: a shopkeeper, smith and magician. At the first one we will buy better knight's equipment with coins, at the blacksmith's we will raise our weapons to a higher level, at the magician's we will develop our magic branch.

This game will be firmly rooted in the realities of the Middle Ages, but it will also have a taste of alchemy, spells, all the mystery into which those dark and unusual times were buried.

To become a knight you must know the Code of Honor by heart.

You must be prepared to give your life in order to protect the innocent, stand and fight against all odds. Find the courage when other's tremble.



The time is coming to reveal what fate has prepared for you, our young apprentice, but not yet... not yet.



To understand the true meaning of being a KNIGHT, you must be... patient.

Remember... your patience will be rewarded. ... soon.

Welcome!
We would like to share with you some fresh information about the Knight Simulator project.

The action takes place in an extensive castle on the rocks, located in an interesting area in the mountains. Wandering the main courtyard or in the currently modeled chambers is an experience. Varied terrain, lots of stairs, recesses and secret corridors, caves, hidden chambers and passage from the mountains to the villages. The time with which the knight's adepts his skills is picturesque - it's snowing, the pavement begins to whiten ... joyful sky - nothing but developing an arsenal of battle and magic in favorable weather!

Well, let’s talk about the mechanics.
We've been thinking about our game lately in terms of gameplay itself and decided to add some more magic to it. However, it will not be easy to use. To use magic potions, you'll need to find the ingredients for making the potion at the witch's place.
We already have:
• Movement of the character
• Attacking
• Some UI elements
• Talking to the NPC
• A pretty large part of the map
• Good graphics render

We are currently working on:
• Equipment, pick-ups, equipping or using items
• Tutorial
• Addons to the character movement
• Addons to the interaction with the NPCs
• We are expanding and modeling the kingdom and everything else
You are probably also curious about what we will add later? We will add enemies! Yes, we will be able to duel with enemies and gain loot. We will also add the ability to reflect new elements and areas of the world.


Our tester tested the project on a few machines and we can already say that it will be hard to play on a PC with 4GB of RAM, but we will do our best so that users with older PCs can also play without problems!
