Update #9 - Global power ups, the ripper and new juggernaut maps
Hey everyone!
It's that time of the month again! We have added a couple things to the game and it's online for you guys' enjoyment! We added a new power up type and we would love to have your feedback on those as they might change the game a lot.
Here's the list of the features :
New Features
New global power up : Freeze. Once you touch the freeze power up, your opponents are frozen in ice for a short duration. Use this time wisely to get closer to victory.
New global power up : Reset. Getting the reset will remove everyone's power ups and reset them back to the default sword.
New weapon : The ripper. The ripper will throw projectiles that bounce off walls and explode in a small area of effect . Everything it touches will be damaged badly.
Two new Juggernaut maps. The old one was removed since it was poorly adapted to the game mode.
This is pretty much it for this weeks update. Some pretty cool new stuff. Can't wait to see what you guys think about them!

Update #8 - New Juggernaut game mode!
It's that time of the month again! A new update is available for all of you! :D Here's a quick breakdown of the added content for this week :
Features
New Juggernaut mode! Become the badass juggernaut and minigun your enemies to sleep. Gain more points when you are the juggernaut, but also become the primary target!
Bug Fixes
Fixed an animation bug that happened when changing weapons.
The current map for the Juggernaut is one of the Last Man Standing maps but this will change in the next update. We just wanted to get this out the door ASAP so you guys could try it out!
Update #7 - New Weapon, New maps and more!
Hey guys! A new update is now live! We added a bunch of things and fixed lots of small stuff. As usual, feel free to comment on how you find the new content, we really like getting feedback to know how we should change things for the better. So here's the details :
Features
Lightning rod weapon : upon hitting the first target the lightning will accelerate towards the next closest target. Go for the longest hit spree!
Unicorn mount : quite simply a unicorn! Find it for a funny effect!
New Maps : A new Crystal Rush and Domination map have been added to the map roster!
Disable Bots : You can now disable the bots when you are 2 players or more. Simply select Disabled in the bot difficulty selector. This still needs some tuning
Tweaks
Tweaked the colors behind the power ups
Renamed the Grail mode to Capture the Grail
Fixes
Fixed the leaderboard to show your score when you are more than 8th position.
Fixed the challenge so that enemies don't spawn all with a sword.
The result screen will stay the for a maximum of 30 seconds even if nobody hits a key.
A draw in a team based game will now show everyone as sad.
AI fix in Tug of war map
When winning a round in last man standing with a horse, you will no longer look like you have a horse when respawning.
We also removed the Kill Em' All mode since we felt it was too complicated and not that awesome. Plus it would prohibit us from adding in some new skins since the colors could end up being harder to tell in the kill em all. We will be adding a new Free For All game mode in the next update to compensate this removal.
Update #6 - Dragons, Steam Cards and more
Hey everyone!
It's that time again where we update Knight Squad! We've added a couple things in there and tweaked others. Here's a detailed breakdown :
Features
Added evil golden dragon heads that breath fire in a new grail level. These will get added to more levels and game modes in coming updates.
New Crystal Rush map with more crystals and drills.
Added a new song to the playlist.
Steam cards have been added and will be available as soon as Valve reviews them!
Tweaks
Changed the explosion particle effect to something cooler.
Added a new particle effect when someone picks up a grail or a flag.
Changed the grail's glow.
Added a new particle effect when someone returns his flag.
Changed the boomerang so that it now breaks destructible walls.
Steam cards should also become available for the game really soon, we're just waiting to have Valve approve them.
Update #5 - Crystal Rush, Minor Tweaks, New Soccer map
Hey folks! Sorry for the delay of update, the last couple of weeks were very hectic with the gamescom and PAX Prime! We managed to have a small update ready right before PAX starts so here it is :
Features
New game mode Crystal Rush! Protect your crystals while destroying the opponents' with a drill!
New experimental soccer map with no space beside the goals.
Tweaks
Added a screen at the beginning of the game letting know players the game is best played with a controller.
Fixes
Minor visual fixes with destructible walls and webs across all castle maps.
Mapped the Q and Z keys for movement to also handle AZERTY keyboard instead of only QWERTY with WASD.
The next build should add a lot more tweaks and maps as we will not be crunching stuff for conventions. Thank for your patience everyone and I hope you enjoy the new update!
P.S. I'm setting this build online from the airport. Let me know if you find some horrible bugs so that I can correct them ASAP and push a fix.
Update #4 - New Mode, Linux and Mac, More maps!
Update #4 is right here right now! Sorry we're a week late on this one the new platforms were giving us a headache. Lots of under the hood modifications again to prepare the online version of the game. Here's the detailed breakdown of the update :
Feature :
Linux and Mac versions now available!
New Kill'em All versus mode. Defeat everyone once in the given order to win!
New capture the flag and team deathmatch map.
Tweaks :
Removed the doors in the capture the flag maps as it was giving the AI a hard time.
Tweaked how the soccer ball is controlled. It should feel a bit more controllable and less random.

Update #3 - Leaderboard, New maps, New Mode!
Update #3 is right here right now! We added a lot of stuff in this one for you guys. Keep in mind that a lot more is to come too. Here's the detailed list of what's in the update :
New Features
New team game mode : Domination!
Added new maps for most of the already available modes.
Introduced the cave environment! The cave has no environment perks for the moment, but we will introduce them in a future update.
Added a leaderboard for the Dark Knights challenge! Be the best contestant!
Added doors in some Capture the flag maps. This is a test, we'll see what we do with those from here.
Tweaks and Fixes
Total revamping of the in-game UI.
Fixed the issue with the challenge when pushing A very fast to restart it.
Tweaked the drill's collision to be more accurate to the visual.
Tweaked the Gladiator bots a bit.
Update #2 - Boomerang, Horse and more!
A new update is up and running now! We've added a couple of weapons and power ups to the game and did some minor tweaks to make the game more enjoyable! A lot of the time of the last two weeks has gone towards getting the game to work Online. This is coming together nicely. Here's what's new in the build :

New Features
New Horse power up! This sucker runs fast and will tank a hit for you! The perfect companion!
New Boomerang weapon! It will always get back to you unless it hits a wall.
New Protector Gun weapon! Using this will render an ally invincible as long as you stay close to him. INVINCIBLE!
Tweaks
A feedback has been added just before a power up spawn so you know in advance it will be spawning.
Changed the Gladiator +1 to be +3 so they spawn less often but still give the same amount of points.
Changed the color of bombs in team games. They are now the color of the team instead of the color of the player.
Changed the ninja to be skeletal minions instead.
Fixes
Really fixed the controller issue with cheaper controllers.
Knight Squad - Update #1
New build is available right now! The last week has been rather hectic as we have been showing Knight Squad at E3 in the Microsoft booth, but we still managed to get some things in for the update. We also added the new Challenge mode! The first level is currently very experimental and difficult so let us know what you feel about it once you've tried it!

Changed how the bombs behave. They are now shot depending on the player's speed and explode after a short time.

Speeded up the Gladiator zone to give a point every 0.1 second

Fixed the controls so that cheaper controllers also work.
Fixed the issue with being able to start a Team based game without selecting a team.
