Beast Slayer | 8-bit Open World RPG Now on Steam

If you're looking for something to scratch a retro chiptune itch, my 8-bit open world RPG is now available on Steam. Beast Slayer is the third and latest game from Solohack3r Studios. Embark on an adventure in a retro open world where monsters roam free. Track down and defeat dangerous beasts. With 8 different classes & your choice of gender, skills & spells, each time you play will be different. Feel the nostalgia as you listen to an 8-bit soundtrack while flying on the wings of a dragon.

I hope you check it out! It's my tribute to a bygone era in gaming, with elements of newer games like Skyrim and The Witcher. It's available now for PC and Steam Deck. An android port is coming during the holidays.

Check it out here!

Knightblade Now Available on Mobile

Hello everyone!

After a long process and much debugging, I am happy to announce that Knightblade has finally been ported to Android! It has been a lengthy process, but Knightblade is now live and ready to download from Google Play. I honestly feel as a developer, that making a game ad-free and in-app purchase-free is the only way to go. I purposely made sure this is a one-time purchase, with no distracting ads or unnecessary additions. Instead this is an exact port of the PC game, with some minor changes. The audio quality will be lower to fit the compression I needed for the smaller game size, the movie theater has been removed, and the biggest change is that the enemies have been replaced. Knightblade Mobile will feature different enemy art, static instead of animated, and a different style to accommodate the platform change. The price will be slightly lower than the PC version, because of these changes. Other than that it's the same PC version!

You can download Knightblade here on Google Play now! iOS support is unlikely, because of it's requirements that Apple forces on smaller developers like myself. Hope you enjoy taking Knightblade on the go!

Knightblade 1.4.1 Update Released

Hello everyone,

Just a small update today. A new shield has been added to the island shop, and a bug fix has been implemented. For some, a low memory issue could cause the Battle Results screen to lag or even crash the game, especially when escaping. I have decided to remove that screen all together. Now the EXP you earned and items you picked up during the battle will be displayed in a message box. This will also make escaping much quicker, since you simply escape from the battle after selecting that action.

I'll give updates on the DLC content including Underwater Kingdom as we head into summer. Have a great memorial day weekend everyone!

Knightblade 1.4.0 Update Released

Hey everyone, just a quick update! Bug fixes as usual, but also something pretty noticeable. A new popup when you pick up an item! This is pretty big as anyone who has farmed or mined in Knightblade will be aware of the very annoying scrolling text that passed by when you picked up something. I'm happy to say that the scrolling text is gone. Replacing it is a slick popup over the player's head with an icon and text showing what you have picked up. This makes farming SO much quicker, and also more fun! I believe I removed the scrolling text from every item pickup in the game, but if you notice it anyone else please report it. Maybe this will open the door for more crops and a bigger farm in the future? If you'd like that let me know!

More to come!
