Patch Notes Version 3.4

Fellow Knights,

We are saddened to announce our decision to discontinue support for the Steam platform. As of now, Steam users will no longer be able to download Knightfall on their computers. Current players will continue to have access to the game until we permanently shut it down on May 21st, 2018. Please note, however, that micro-transactions will be disabled during this period.

Despite our decision to close the game's Steam version, it is possible for you to transfer your Knightfall progress (achievements, cards, etc.) to iOS or Android devices. Should you wish to do so, we invite you to contact our support team as soon as possible and they will gladly assist you in the process.

We’d like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support and constructive feedback. We are grateful to have you onboard and hope to see you all very soon in our mobile version.

Additionally, in this update we’ve made a number of changes:

• Introduced Daily Quests. Earn Gold Coins for each quest you complete;
• Added 10 new cards, including the Inquisitor (Legendary), Trebuchet (Epic), and Noblewoman (Epic);
• Rebalanced multiple cards;
• Modified Chest rewards: Silver chests now award you between 90 and 110 Silver coins and Victory Chests award you between 300 and 350 Silver Coins;
• Made it so that common cards can be upgraded to level 19.
• Squashed bugs.

Patch Notes: Version 3.3

Greetings, Templars!

We’re pleased to release update 3.3, which brings several balancing changes to the solo campaign and improvements to our rewards system.

First off, you’ll be thrilled to know that in update 3.3, we’ve lowered the Victory Chests’ victory requirement to 3 wins (down from 5). This means more cards and new decks for you to experiment with!

Secondly, we felt it necessary to improve the overall quality of the rewards that you could obtain from the roulette; so, we’ve decided to remove single cards from the roulette system altogether. As of today, you’ll enjoy higher odds of acquiring Squire, Knight, and Commander Chests.

Greetings Templars!

We are excited to announce our latest update which focuses on refining the game experience! This is our biggest performance update yet with optimizations throughout the game, resulting in a smoother and faster play experience. We've also included a number of new and revamped sound effects.

Additionally, we've made the following improvements:

  • Lowered the cost for speeding up chests in your inventory.
  • Added a pop-up message on game-launch to notify players what rewards they lost if they disconnected while opening a chest.
  • Improved reward text for better readability.

Patch Notes: Version 3.1

Greetings Templars!

We are back once again with a major update that we are sure you'll love! You’ll notice lots of improved special effects during matches that make the experience more exciting and epic!

The biggest change in this update is to King Cards. We have been closely monitoring King Card usage and based on the results we’ve redesigned a number of abilities:

  • King Philip -- Block the opponent's first poison card without cancelling their turn.
  • Queen Joan -- All Ranged units in your deck get a +1 increase in attack values.
  • Princess Isabella -- Scullery Maid placed randomly on the board at the start of the match.
  • Pope Boniface -- First unit played gets a +1 increase in attack values.
  • Adelina -- All unit cards in your deck get the Ambush ability.
  • Rashid -- You play second, regardless of the coin toss.
  • Godfrey -- Start with Godfrey's Sword in your hand.

Armor cards have also received a significant buff. All Armor cards now have the "Play Again" ability and slightly rebalanced stats. In addition, you can now use Poison cards on your own cards – adding interesting new tactics.

The cost for upgrading cards has also been updated. Common cards are now cheaper to upgrade, while other rarities are more expensive. We noticed that Epic and Legendary cards were dominating late-game play, leading to a small number of effective decks. The new balancing is intended to keep all card rarities playable – even in the late-game. Additionally, to help level the playing field, we've updated the Victory Chest to give out better rewards. However,it can now be opened once every 18 hours after 5 wins in Ranked or Casual modes.

Lastly, a big thank you to the community for providing great feedback regarding exploits of intentionally letting the turn-timer run out or continuously skipping turns. From now on, if the turn-timer runs out or when a player chooses to skip/discard cards then the player will lose a random card from their deck. We hope this change will encourage a more fair and fun gameplay for everyone.

Additionally, we have made the following fixes:

  • Store visual effect improvements.
  • Solo Campaign visual improvements
  • Rewards for replaying Solo Campaign battles.
  • Lotto mini-game visual improvements.
  • Victory/Defeat screen visual improvements.
  • Chat macro fixed to display properly during matches.
  • And lots of stability optimizations!

Patch Notes: Version 3.0

Greetings Templars!

We are pleased to announce that the long-awaited Solo Campaign is finally here! Face off against ten fierce rivals, each with a unique hand-crafted deck. You'll need a clever strategy to outwit these opponents! For each opponent conquered, you can loot cards from the opponent's deck. Test your strength in three difficulty levels and crush your enemies while progressing through the battles to conquer the kingdom!

We've also improved the Chest Inventory system. From now on, if you win a chest while all of your chest slots are full, you will have the option to buy an additional chest slot, open the new chest immediately or sell the chest for silver coins.

Lastly, we've made major improvements to the 3D scenes throughout the game. The colors, textures and geometry have been updated for realism and performance.

Additionally, we have made the following fixes:


  • Greatly improved the viewing quality in the 3D scenes.
  • Fixed the hitbox for the Ranked mode button.
  • Fixed missing descriptions for all item cards in the card Info screen.
  • Fixed the automatic changing of the player's deck to their first deck after completing a match.
  • Fixed flickering on the victory/defeat screen.
  • Fixed Mac Sierra compatability issues.
  • Various design and special effects improvements.

Victory Chest Update

Greetings Templars!

We've taken note of the feedback you've provided regarding the Victory Chest in our last patch. We'd like to announce that the Victory Chest rewards have been adjusted up in order to award a combination of Silver Coins, Gold Coins, and multiple cards! This change makes Victory Chests one of the best ways to earn scarce cards and accumulate Gold Coins, especially since there are no limits on the number of Victory Chests you can earn each day.

Patch Notes: Version 2.0

Greetings Templars!

This time around we've got some major updates to greatly improve your playing experience. The first thing you'll notice is the brand new look and feel of the game. We've redesigned major elements such as buttons, background screens and the main screen layout to make the game easy to understand and interact with. As promised in our last announcement, we are also introducing new ways to earn additional rewards which encourage more playing and less waiting! The first of these changes is the new lotto mini-game which will allow you to win a variety of rewards after each match victory. The second change is a new chest inventory system which enables you to store up to ten chests at a time. Lastly, the Victory Chests now reward one card but the chests can be won infinitely!

We hope these changes will make the experience more engaging, fun and rewarding!

We're still chipping away at the new Solo/Campaign mode. More details will come as we move further in development. We'll also continue to polish the art and design of the game with additional improvements coming out soon.

Patch Notes: Version 1.05

Greetings Templars!

We're back with another update with lots of bug fixes and new improvements that we are sure you'll love! We've been listening to all the great feedback you guys have provided regarding reward improvements. So from now on you'll be rewarded silver coins whenever you lose a match or when your chest slots are full, allowing you to upgrade your decks and level up faster than ever! On top of that, we've also reduced the player level required to unlock Ranked mode from level 10 to level 4. Now you can start competing for your spot on the leaderboard much quicker! For a full list of bug fixes and improvements in this patch please see our detailed list below.

We're still working away on the Solo/Campaign mode and the new reward system. We'll have new information coming soon!

For the stability and improvement patch today we have:

Fixed in this version:

  • Fixed flickering on the Victory and Defeat screens.
  • Fixed an issue when the Plague Doctor is upgraded to have both abilities unlocked, "Subterfuge" does not get applied correctly.
  • Fixed Steam achievement notifications only appearing when exiting the game.
  • Fixed an issue when attempting to search for cards during the Card Upgrade tutorial
  • Fixed the continuously appearing message saying the opposing player is redrawing when using the Pope Boniface at the beginning of a match.
  • Fixed an issue with the Music and SFX mute settings not persisting after the game is closed.
  • Fixed an exploit where some users were able to select a square already blocked by the opponent's Barricade ability.
  • Fixed level up animations for level 15.
  • Fixed inconsistent text spacing in the Decks menu.
  • Fixed an issue where some players were not getting their rewards when having connectivity problems.


New in this version:

  • Based on the community feedback we've decided to reward silver coins whenever you lose a match or when your chest slots are full.
  • Adding to our previous improvement we've also reduced the player level required to unlock Ranked mode from level 10 to level 4.
  • Trophy info added to the Victory/Defeat screens when you win/lose a Ranked match.
  • We noticed that Flail units were a bit too overpowered leading to some unfair strategy. Their values have been slightly decreased to give players a higher chance of defending their attacks. This is a small step and we'll continue looking at them for gameplay balance.

Early Access Thanks & Free Reward!

Greetings Templars!

We are formally exiting Steam Early Access tomorrow and wanted to first thank you all. Your continued feedback and support has been and will remain tremendously important! We still have a lot planned for the game and look forward to developing the experience with you as we continue our development crusade!

Greetings Templars!

The day is almost upon us! This Thursday we are transitioning out of early access and in to a full release. With that, you should know we are going to keep supporting the game and have many new features and improvements in the works.
As we mentioned in our last update, we had some exciting plans. What’s the big news you might be wondering? Two things!

Solo / Campaign mode!


We are currently developing a Solo Mode. This new mode will let you match-up against AI opponents and choose your reward after winning. More details will come as we move further along in development.

More Rewards!


We’ve been listening, and a lot of you don’t like the mobile style approach we’ve taken with the game. While we can’t completely change the game as it would be unfair for PC vs. Mobile players, we’re currently working on rebalancing the game economy.
On top of this, we are looking at reworking the Victory Chest and Rewarded chests so it is more focused on rewards for playing rather than waiting. As a first small step toward this, we’ve shortened the timers on chests rewarded for victory.

For the stability and improvement patch today we have:

Fixed in this version:

  • Fixed a bug in the leaderboard that would display your rank incorrectly.
  • Fixed/Improved HUD and navigation button responsiveness.
  • Fixed a bug during the tutorial that would cause the Casual button to appear locked.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the unlock level for abilities on cards to not be displayed.
  • Fixed a bug that displayed experience as a different value than what the player actually has.
  • Fixed a UI overlapping issue when the player profile is open.
  • Fixed an exploit that allowed some players to place poison cards on hidden ambush cards.


New in this version:

  • Added an alert when there are connectivity issues occurring.
  • Added tool tips to the free and victory chest icons.
  • Adjusted timers on rewarded chests so they can be opened faster and reward the same amount of cards over time.
