Update 12.0

Happy holidays knights! I wanted to give you guys a special update for this holiday season
New maps:

Crypt-


The crypt is a very dark place located north of the forest and it contains much good loot. Even though the monsters are at a high level you can access the crypt for a chance to get good items and equipment at early points of the game.

This area has 3 new monsters and a key item which you will need to proceed to further.

Ice Lair, Tartarus



The fourth big dungeon (and Boss). New puzzles and mechanics, and 4 new monsters in this region.

After this update, I will start polishing the game a bit and fixing minor issues I have pending before adding the finale. Like always if you have any issues feel free to contact me, I’ll respond as quickly as possible.

Update 11.3

Hotfixes:



-Transform + Frenzy bug:
As a mage, if you had the transform skill (a skill that turns enemies into a slime monster if hit by a spell) and also The frenzy spell (a move that hits multiple times), It could activate transform on each hit causing many bugs. Combo spells now only activate the transform skill on the last hit.

-Fireball collision + monster appearances bug:
If you got hit by a fireball at the same time that you had a monster encounter, the game would soft lock.

-Item usage bugs:
BRN HEAL couldn't be used outside of battle.
MED POTION had no effect in battle.

Changes:





-Tartarus Shop
A new shop has opened in Tartarus.

-Options menu added to pause menu
You don't have to quit to the title screen to change volume, resolution, etc.

-Level up STATS display:
When you level up you can see your stat growth.

-Victory music:
A nice song plays when you win a battle.

-Fireball collision:
The last patch made it so if you're using the hook you would not get damaged by the fireballs. Now you are invulnerable if you're reeling in. In any other condition, you will get hurt.

-Goblin Tower barrels:
The barrels now fall from above instead of magically appearing in front of you.

-Switches and Chests
Chests and switches have sound effects. A nice jingle plays when you find some loot.



Update 11.2

Hotfixes:




  • The first puzzle in the fire lair was disappearing boulders if certain conditions were met. This made it so you had to leave the dungeon in order to continue.
  • Rhadamanthis didn't want to say goodbye:
    A bug causing our friend to stay in the lair even after defeat. This also caused an error with achievement activation.
  • Mud throw spell description and move range are now fixed.


Changes:




  • First portal removed from Fire Lair.
  • Fire Boulder damage nerf 10% of max health > 8% of max health.
  • Grappling into a block gives you invincibility to fire boulders that you bumped into during the hook.
  • Forest NPCs now react to your goblin form.
  • Rival split scene remade (has an animation and sound effect).

Update 11.1

Bug fixes and changes:



-Meteorites get placed in crafting bag instead of item bag.
-The shop now displays a menu scroll indicator.
-You can buy BRN HEAL.
-Weapon stats text adjusted to be consistent on all menus.
-Quit menu selection bug and text bug was removed.
-Leaf effect in Sage Town school was removed.

-There were two contradicting skills:
1. Fighter skill that raises ATT if critted
2. Sentry skill that makes it so you're never critted.

The sentry skill was changed to nullify the crit damage. So essentially you get critted but you take normal damage (which was the intention in the first place), instead of blocking the chance of a critical hit move before it happens.

-Several text errors in the skill menu description.
-Confusion status was not working at all. When confused you chance a chance to hurt yourself (33%) and damage is 20% of your max health.
-Confusion cures itself after a battle or after a few turns.

-Battle ending transition to player view was reduced.

Update 11.0

Map Changes:



There is a new route north of the forest that connects to a whole new region.

Four new monsters have been added:


<*> Fire Dragon
<*> Hell Hound
<*> Ixion
<*> Knight Radhamanthis


New spells:



  • From the new monsters you can also get fire-based spell:
  • Kindle - A status effect move that burns the foe. 75% chance.
  • Incinerator - A very powerful SPA based spell. Can BRN.
  • Fuel - A move that buffs the user's ATT to the max.


Nerfs:



  • Goblin Warrior base ATT 80 > 70
  • Goblin Warlord base ATT 150 > 130
  • Angry Stump spawn level 2 > 1
  • Frenzy base PWR 35 > 30


Buffs:



  • Gamayun base HP 65 > 75

Update 10.23

Hotfix:



Pressing Shift (button used for changing Key Items) while not carrying any Key Items was causing the game to freeze.

Update 10.2.2

Hotfix:



-Lamp puzzle in Mino's lair was not triggering due to the changes made to the pushing mechanics.

Update 10.2.1

Hotfixes:



-Pranking pirate in Spiky's Ship was resetting every time you left the ship. This made it possible to get multiple keys from the same pirate.

-Small ship room with 4 boulders was adjusted to prevent the player from getting trapped.

-Sealeg's blood scent ability only displays when it activates. It was displaying every turn.

Update 10.2

New maps and map changes:



-A new region is added and is connected to the Goblin Wetlands. This region contains new enemies and a boss.
-New NPCs added to Sage Town. You can interact with the bookshelves and more.
-Tiling errors fixed in many areas.
-Hook blocks set in different places and act like shortcuts if you have the Sea Hook.

New key Items:



-Sea Hook: A hook that enables you to attach to objects.
-King's Flute: After saving the soldiers from the cave the king now gives you his flute. Using the flute transports you back to town.

Key Item Changes:



-Goblin Pendant: Now transforms you into a goblin. NPCs will react to your new form.

Gameplay Changes:



-NPCs dialogue changes after you save the soldiers in the cave.
-Sky Tartarus cyclones removed.
-Signs were remade and now show on a different layer.

Bug fixes:



-Menu input bug that caused the cursor to speed up.
-Cyclones outside of Sky Tartarus were not traveling.
-A bug that caused some users to not be able to warp to Sky Tartarus.

Update 10.17

Features:
-Mac and Linux Build.
-Crafting

Gameplay changes:
-You gain normal amounts of exp even if you are 7 levels above the foe's level (it was 5 before).
-Items were reworked and you can craft 95% pct of all items using crafting materials that are dropped by monsters.

Quality of Life:
-HP bars on defeated enemies.
-Exit game and quit to Title Screen options included in menus.

Gameplay Fixes:
-Players get trapped in dungeon areas to prevent wandering.
- Key abilities are now key items and now display a proper icon.
-NPC show players about keyboard controls.
-You can discard items.

Minor bugs:
-Menu selection bug after entering the equip menu.
-Earth Tartarus wall collision bug.
-Thunder claw red line bug.
-Ladder on Earth Tartarus bug.
-Earth Tartarus lamp room not resetting.
-Mana Cost cost preview not taking into account Mage upgrades fixed.
