LIMITED boxed Collector's Editions AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW until Jan 30th 2022
These brillo Collector's Editions of the game are on sale NOW, for a limited time - you've got until the end of January 2022 to order one, or that's it FOREVER.
You've got two options, a special Collector's Edition with loads of EXCLUSIVE stuff inside, like a massive journal and a neat enamel pin, and a Standard Edition which is just the game in a box. You're going to want the Collector's Edition, because it's resplendent:
Collector's Edition [$85] Lovely Big DOS-style box with exclusive artwork PS4/ Switch case with exclusive artwork Ben's Journal a 78-page account of the events leading up to, during, and immediately after the game Manual- apparently we had to provide one, so we wrote one for the wrong game entirely Enamel Pin you can wear and look cool Full Soundtrack to listen to if you still have a CD player? Loads of art including an exclusive canvas print
Standard Edition [$35] Just a nice box, but it's a great box. Comes with a game in it, obviously.
-- Ben's Journal is the ONLY way to find out how Dan and Ben get out of the game's cliffhanger ending. It's jam-packed with more Dan and Ben adventure, and some amazing artwork.
Whether you're a massive fan of the game, or maybe you got the game in a sale and you feel GUILTY for not spending enough money on it and want to support Size Five, this is a great opportunity to nab yourself something nice for your shelf.
Hello there! Delighted to announce I've been secretly storing up all the bugs that got reported over the last couple of months for one big boring update.
With this, the game is now (as far as I'm aware) BUG FREE again so if you're playing it and you're like "hey, hang on a second, THIS IS A BUG!" it means you're very clever and please email full details to dan@sizefivegames.com asap so I can fix it.
DISCLAIMER: That said, I have not yet fixed the one where Dan clips into the floor if you jump onto Ben's head. It's something to do with the physics. Will have another look at it asap.
Here's the full list of changes:
- Hopefully fixed an issue where the game could hang when you're mopping a floor - Added a custom control map for SwitchPro controllers, which didn't play nice natively - Teleporting while shifting gravity should no longer cause things to stay wibbly. - Teleporting at an inopportune moment during the ending no longer causes issues - Fixed an issue that could cause a camera to lock on the final boss - Hopefully fixed an issue where Dan could fall off a critical water spurt (thanks Tony!) - Improved framerate across all systems (thanks Tony!) - Fixed Chapter Select to the last chapter being borked (thanks Tony!) - Your inventory should no longer be full if you start a new game immediately after completing the game. - Like, some extremely minor pissy shit
Hope you've enjoyed the game. If you have PLEASE PLEASE REVIEW IT. We need as many ace reviews as we can, so please take a second to let other people know you enjoyed the game.
Thanks!
Dan
v1.016 Now Live
Hello! I'm aware it's been a few weeks since the last update - bugs are now coming in so infrequently that daily updates no longer really make sense, so I'm saving them all up for larger patches.
- Linux version now has a 64-bit version available - Fixed an issue where skipping Splash screens with a gamepad caused the 'Save warting' dialogue to be missed - Fixed missing characters in the dyslexic-friendly font option - Accessing the top bit of a boat is now way easier - Fixed an issue where starting a conversation the instant a lift started to move caused Camera Issues - Fixed some potentially-sticky ice - Fixed some extraordinarily minor typos
As always, if you find a bug please let me know at dan@sizefivegames.com, rather than leaving messages in places I might not see them.
If you've enjoyed Lair of the Clockwrok God but haven't yet REVIEWED it on Steam, please please do take a second to do that right now. It really helps me out.
Hope you're staying home and safe during these weird times.
Best,
Dan
v1.014 Now Live!
There's now so few bugs in the game the patch notes are getting silly:
- Fixed a weird Linux bug that could cause the game to open at a resolution of 1x1, which APPARENTLY is too small - Once you've completed the game but BEFORE you've started a new one, pressing Back on the Chapter Select screen no longer gets confused.
As always if anything has gone WRONG with this build, because I'm an idiot, you can rollback to a previous version by opting into the Beta branch called "rollback".
PLEASE LEAVE A STEAM REVIEW if you played the game. Steam reviews feed an algorithm, the algorithm gets me views, and views get me sales, which I need. Thank you!
v1.013 Now Live
- Added Platforming Assist slider - Minor bug fixes
This update adds a SUPER NEAT Platforming Assist slider, which tweaks a few platforming settings to suit your needs, including:
- Dan's 'wallgrab' time, giving you more time to react - Dan's 'wallslide' speed - Slows down certain tile types (blinking tiles, collapsible tiles, lasers etc) - Removes some hazards entirely
If you're finding the platforming too much of a challenge, or you're just not particularly interested in 'that side' of the game, check it out.
This feature is in BETA, so may break things. If it does, or if there's something you want added to the slider, let me know: dan@sizefivegames.com

v1.012 Now Live!
It's been a couple of days wince the last update. I've been saving them up for one BIG HUGE FIX:
- Fixed a typo, that's the level we're down to now. - Fixed a dialogue option that should have been switched off, but wasn't - Fixed an issue where showing Dan a bra would cause Ben to never stop looking - Fixed an issue where killing Ben would make everything go black - Fixed Ben being unable to teleport in Chapter 11, if running from a load - Fixed Ben sliding along weirdly, using his nose to drag himself painfully across the floor if he dies - Flipping a switch twice and then dying no longer gets you stuck in an impossible situation - De-subtled a colour-based puzzle - Amalgamated some controls
IMPORTANT: based on player feedback PUSH and CYCLE HOTSPOT now share a key (default X on a gamepad) If you're in the middle of your game, this change may prove confusing! The old button still works, so hopefully not. Email me if this chance is bad!
