LW News! (Week 4)

This week's post will be barren, and void of much information. Apologies, but Mr. Darkness (one of our lead developers) has been sorting through life, and as such, cannot push out as much content.
Asides from that, I'm sure the rest of hte team is looking at some rough edges to smoothen, and at the very least, you got a new update recently!
Lambda Wars Patch 31 October 2017 (version 3.08b rev. 6361)
Apparently the mini-patch that was supposed to come last time did not come (which is quite odd, I was sure I pushed it; it is the case this time though).
Changelog:
Barrel trap tower ability cooldown reduced from 9 seconds to 5.
Cooldown on Dropship Reinforcements increased from 210 (3 minutes 30 seconds) to 360 (6 minutes)
Changed the standard lobby game mode from "annihilation" to random selection between "annihilation", "competitive", "overrun"
Renamed competitive faction names - removed word "competitive" in them
Lambda Wars Mini-patch
I heard number of complaints about Dropships being too powerful. I'm still looking into what could be so OP about them. One of the things was the following:
Greatly reduced explosion damage (1000 to 250) and radius (500 to 250) for dropship containers
Radius was about as big as about 5 citadels standing in a circle, and damage no less than enough to destroy an HQ by blowing up.
If I find any other issues related to the dropship code mistakes like these, I'll make sure to fix them. Right now it should be much easier to play and counter them.
I also reduced the container health from 750 to 250, tho it may take about 2 rockets to shoot down the dropship now. I will also patch up one more thing regarding the dropship itself a bit later.
Lambda Wars Update 25 October 2017 (Version 3.08a, rev 6356)
Hey guys, here's a new update for you.
I wanted to include a serious video for the update, but I'm really tired this week, and got really frustrated with render settings. Took me much longer to render this video, all was in vain. So I did what I did. I hope you still like it though.
Please read through the changelog first, and then open the video.
Reduced Headcrab Cannister range from 9000 to 6000
Empty shell range kept at 9000 range
Normal Headcrab cannister price from 35/20 to 25/40
Empty shell price changed from 25/15 to 25/25
Empty shel now also goes on cooldown, together with other cannisters
Reduced costs on shooting Annihilation Mortar - from 30 power to 20
Annihilation mortar now supports Autocast
Barrel Trap tower - Increased autocast range
Reduced explosive barrel explosion timer from 4 to 3 seconds
Reduced Strider health from 1700 to 1500
Reduced City Scanner health from 50 to 30
Reduced Rollermine build time from 20 to 14
Increased crossbow max range from 1300 to 1400
Reduced damage dealt by 'plasma' attribute to buildings from 0.25 to 0.1
New:
Combine Faction ability - Call Combine dropships to dispatch soldiers. The dropships will dispatch 15 soldiers. The ability isn't polished very well however (sometimes dropships may get stuck or not spawn soldiers when landing - this is due to bad landing positions)
Localization:
Updated Localization. Lines, such as "Costs" "Requirements" "Recharge time" can now be translated via resource files.
Maps:
Updated maps with slightly better lighting.
Winter maps fog reduced.
hlw_synth:
- added fow_blockers which block Fog of War vision between player bases
hlw_snow_wasteland:
- added fow_blockers in various places
- the 5 central flags now belong to enemy team (zombies) by default
Gamemodes:
Competitive - added a limit on HQ's - only one HQ active at once allowed
Misc:
Crossbow bolt particle effects
Updated portal rift end particles a bit
Chromium:
Updated Chromium embedded from version 49 to version 61. With this, Windows XP users will no longer be able to launch the game. See minimum requirements.

BarraBarraTiger, one of our lovely Developers, has something in the works for you. I won't spoil too much of it, but I'll show you some of screenshots I've been allowed.
Along with Barra's efforts, we have Darkness working his typical shifts, playing games occasionally, and working on some of the internal coding. Prettying up and balancing, which is what we need most right now.
Also! DrMad, our beloved MD with a temper, has started streaming on Twitch! Around 3 - 7 GMT. Find him here, at "https://go.twitch.tv/drmadas". Catch him on Saturday/Sunday streaming.

This Week in LW News!

Now, this week we've been up on our stuff, with Darkness spilling the beans about how are game is quite literally perfect and if you say ANYTHING other than that we'll have you publicly tar and feathered, and 99% bug free! Also, we have 2 patches pushed out for you, mostly pertaining to balancing and such.
Asides from this, there's nothing else to report. Go play some LW and try out these new patches!

A small patch with fixes and small changes released:
Fixed junkyard not generating scrap in Competitive mode
Increased crossbow range from 1200 to 1300
Rescaled Rebel Marksman (Veteran) costs from 35/40 to 40/30
Lambda Wars Update 10 October 2017 (Version 3.07h, rev 6338)
We've released an update. Mainly focuses on balance. Some small bugfixes too (which were not mentioned here).
Balance:
Increased Bunker sense distance to 1500 (from 1000)
Increased Bunker shooting range from 90 degrees to 270 degrees
Rebel Bunker incoming unit damage increased from 0.3 to 0.35
Combine Bunker incoming unit damage reduced from 0.3 to 0.2
Reduced Rebel Bunker price from 20 req 45 scrap to 20 req 35 scrap
Increased Combine Bunker price from 20 req 45 power to 20 req 50 power
Defense structures receive less damage from bullets (from 0.65 to 0.5) and pulse (from 0.7 to 0.6)
Increased stun chance for Combine Elite combine ball from 0.4 to 0.5
Units:
Removed 'mechanic' attribute from Dog attributes (this should allow us to stun Dog now)
Sniper view range reduced from 1400 to 950
Rollermine: Increased stun chance for from 0.1 to 0.5
Medics now heal on a wide range. Though gotta admit it's bugged. For now.
Medic costs increased from 15 requisition 10 scrap to 15 requisition 20 scrap.
Stalker makes death sounds now
Reduced build time, costs and health for partisans: 12 secs to make. Costs: 12/3 for SMG, 10/1 for Molotov. Health: 50 (from 100)
Reduced build time for all metrocops from 20 to 17 seconds to make.
Weapons:
Crossbow attack range increased from 1100 to 1200
RPG attack range increased from 1000 to 1200
Increased stun chance for RPG against striders from 0.2 to 0.33
New:
Junkyard, like the headquarters, now generates scrap every 5 seconds. Only one junk yard at a time.
Gamemodes:
Overrun: Wave 10 - increased amount of partisans that will attack the players from 50 to 90 minimum.
