What today includes the Monday update?
We follow all your wishes, because we have removed from the game all the incomprehensible moments and slightly simplified the game in the most difficult aspects:
1. Now to improve military buildings do not need the study of science. Instead, we increased the price of upgrading the barracks, the stables and the shooting range.
Now, to get access to the units of the new type you need
- improve the appropriate building (barracks for infantry, stable for cavalry, shooting range for archers)
- examine the available type of units
2. Previously, to build more than one luxury mining building in the region, you had to perform a special action - to capture the entire province or to study a certain science. Now these additional restrictions are not present - you can build the second and third building of mining of luxury when you have enough workers and resources.
3. Changed science and added more bonuses automatic unconditional mining in the regions.
We also added notices - when entering the region, information about construction in the region pops up.
Plus we fixed several bugs (including rare battle bug)
We continue to work actively. In the near future, we will add updates on the global map and on other elements.

So far we have not had a more ambitious project than Last Day of Rome. At the moment we have implemented the basis of the game. The basis on which we can add many different mechanics. And using the example of Evil Bank Manager, we can say that we plan to release many updates and significantly expand the game. But all this is possible only with your support. We hope for your attention and your help. For our part, we will try to improve the game in order to make a really cool strategy!
Scale updates! The size of the game has grown from 1 GB to 1.6 GB
Over the last month we have made a serious breakthrough both in quality of the game and the functionality. Suffice to say that the size of the game has grown from 980 MB to 1670 MB. I will describe just a list of what we had during this time:
- New global map. We also almost finished the display of generals on the map in the form of animated 3D units.
- Significant improvement in the capital. We added an animated camera to the city, as well as a lot of animations (such as chopping wood, fishing and other small animations). Also added to the capital of the second weather - rain. This adds a lot of entourage).
- Finalization of the levels of units. Now each unit can have 10 levels of improvement. At each level, the player will be able to choose which direction to improve this type of unit.
- Combining generals. Implemented the creation of large compounds of generals in the marshals. Now you will not need to spend 5 battles one by one. You will be able to hold really massive battles.
Also processing a large number of windows, small and large items.
The game has become much bigger and more complete.
At the same time, the start of Early Access will not stop the flow of changes. We plan to expand the game after the Early Access by adding a lot of global changes as well as smaller ones. But here we will need your help. Your advice about where and what to change - will be extremely important to us. So we hope for your support and that we will work together on the "Last Day of Rome".
Final preparing before release
The work is boiling and we've finally got the map to the right level.
In addition, we add a lot of cool stuff and test, and finalize the AI. Finally, AI began to distribute armies, wage several wars simultaneously with sufficient resources, conduct tactical maneuvers, etc. Our first project, where we decided to postpone the release before the launch of Early Access, in order to improve the game, rather than release the raw version.
We hope you appreciate the game and hope for your support. This project is very different from what is available on the market and we have a lot of updates for it in our plans. At least we want to make the game 2-3 times bigger than it will be at the start of the Early Access ;)
