📢 🚨 New Update Available – The Crane is Back and Better Than Ever!
🏗️ The Crane Has Been Restored!
The operational crane is finally back – and it’s had a major upgrade! You can now use it manually or remotely to:
🚧 Install new fuel assemblies
♻️ Remove spent fuel
⚙️ Insert or remove control rods
But be very careful – both fuel blocks and control rods are fragile and require precise handling!
🕹️ Remote or Manual Control? Under normal conditions, you’ll be able to operate the crane remotely via your tablet, or even set it to automatic mode.
However, if the reactor reaches crisis state (red-level alarms), remote control is disabled and you’ll need to climb into the cabin and operate it manually. Good luck.
⚡ How Is It Powered? The crane draws electricity from whatever power source is available in the plant:
Diesel generators
Emergency batteries
The external power grid
Turbine-generated energy
And it even has its own emergency battery rack
Although total blackouts are rare… if you’re up there when one happens, there’s no one coming to rescue you.
🛠️ Repairs and Maintenance If the crane takes damage, or its remote receiver fails, don’t worry – you can always send AO to repair it. He won’t complain… much.
🔧 Update now and try the new crane!
As always, we’d love to hear your feedback. Let us know what operations you'd like to see next!
Patch notes: V 2.2.22.178
The following improvements and fixes were implemented:
- Fixed missing lever on Condenser drain manual valve. - Fixed a bug when performing core maintenance where the coolant level was restored even with open hatches. - Fixed low oil consumption of circulation pumps. - Fixed a bug in reactor efficiency calculation. - Fixed a bug in condensation calculations, resulting in condensation being too slow. - Fixed a repetitive clicking sound in the core running audio effect. - Fixed "Destroyed pump" alarm label on the primary circuit. - Fixed inconsistency between the core panel reactivity meter and the chemistry panel reactivity meter. - Fixed bug where water in the external vessel does not boil or evaporate properly. - Fixes and improvements were made to AO path finding. - Fixed the bug that caused an abrupt drop and bounce in core temperature when loading saved progress [Partial correction, needs improvement]. - Fixed a bug in next audit counter, which in some screen resolutions appeared incorrectly located and sometimes without the minutes. - Fixed bug in Container Tank label in maintenance report. - Fixed bug in the translation of the Ion Column Cleaning pump control panel help tooltip. - Fixed an issue with Xenon's reactivity meter, which would sometimes stop updating. - Fixed bug where explosions were not affecting the player or AO. - Fixed bug in power distribution, where a turbine with the breaker open would receive energy return damage even if there were resistance banks available. - Added thermal monitoring to fuel blocks. - Added fuel blocks thermal monitoring gauges. - Added toggle to always run instead of walk: [ALT] + [R] - Added the concept of personalities to AO. It can be disabled from the AO settings on the tablet. [IN DEVELOPMENT] - Improved the REACTIVITY meter to make readings faster, smoother, and more accurate, avoiding constant jumping. - Modified wear on the resistance banks to avoid deterioration when they are connected and not in use. - Increased the tolerance of the "NO RESISTOR BANKS" and "OVERLOAD RESISTANCE BANKS" alarms to prevent them from sounding when there are changes in demand.- Fixed bug in the evaporator, where under certain circumstances an excessive increase in pressure occurred. - A new in-game warning system has been added: the blue exclamation mark. This is used to indicate corrections or new features introduced in the fixes.

The following improvements and fixes were implemented:
- Fixed bug in total demand calculation when there was an active event. - Fixed bug when replacing a destroyed steam generator, where the new one would degrade rapidly for no reason. - Fixed bug on damaged tubes where the coolant loss effect was displayed continuously. - Fixed the reddish color of the smoke from damaged steam turbines. - Fixed the bug that sometimes AO would not dry due to time or in the charger. - Fixed the bug that allowed taking control of AO even if it was turned off due to humidity. - Reduced the intensity of the Hazmat Suit helmet visual effect. - Modified the visual damage process for steam turbines to show deterioration on textures.

Huge thanks to everyone who made this possible. The good news is that Nucleares is now fully modular, which means we can start thinking about other reactor models! There are many improvements that didn’t make it into this update but are already in the works. They won’t be as big, and they won’t take as long, so hopefully, we’ll get back to weekly or biweekly updates.
Nucleares isn’t a super-realistic nuclear reactor simulator, nor does it aim to be. There are plenty of those on Roblox, and some are amazing—but none let you suit up in an anti-radiation suit and explore a functioning plant under the watchful eye of a robot with questionable intentions.
That said, I should mention that some of the changes in this version make the game a bit more complex. In previous versions, the steam generator pretty much balanced itself, and a single fuel block with a set of control rods was all you needed. That won’t be the case anymore. So please, take a look at the blog and the manual —it’ll save you a lot of headaches!
We ran a ton of tests and fixed a lot of bugs, but I won’t be surprised if new ones pop up once you start playing. The long-time players know how it goes: no matter how many bugs appear, they’ll all get fixed (sometimes sooner, sometimes later, but fixed nonetheless).
