Another small updated. This updates has Air spell tomes displaying a dialog upon use. Did some tweaking to Northern Westernlands. Let me know if it runs any better for you.

Developer Notes
Another small updated. This updates has Earth spell tomes displaying a dialog upon use. I'm going to try and push an update out after finishing a spell set. Hoping to do this weekly at minimum.
After the spells, I'll have the combat manuals to convert to this dialog version. Once that is complete, I'll be adding in an Oracle "system" to give hints on what to do next in the main quest if you get stuck or forget.

EA Release - 0.3.2 Notes

Developer Notes
This update may look small; but, tt's been a long time coming - tomes now display a dialog when attempting to use them. This update has the Fire and Water magic spell tomes displaying their dialogs.
Next update will be another batch of tomes. Eventually, all tomes and manuals will display a dialog upon use. These dialogs take some time to setup. Planning on having Earth, Air, and Nature magic for the next update.

Developer Notes
With the addition of the Haggling skill, I've added an indicator above the active character's HUD. This will let you know who is doing the shopping. Be sure to have the character with the best haggleing skill for the best prices.
With the skill training fixes in place, this will NOT fix any saved parties. This will correct the issue with any future play throughs. I think I have all of the skill training working correctly, now. Let me know if I missed any.

  • New - While browsing stores, an indicator is now visible for the active character browsing.

  • Fixed - Haggle skill now works as intended
  • Fixed - Blast of Air spellbook stating already know blast of air when character does not - the check logic was reversed. This should teach you Blast of Air now
  • Fixed - Learning advanced skills (expert, master) should remove the previous skill now leaving you with just the new skill rank including the points you've spent.
  • Fixed - You can now learn Mind Magic from the trainers who are supposed to teach you the skill. Dirty cheats.
  • Fixed - Fixed a few issues I found in Kunari Plains
  • Fixed - Fixed Centaur walk animation not playing
  • Fixed - Individual mobs attacked by a Koth Breath weapon will perform a resist check.



  • Informational - All monster's HPs have been adjusted this round. For those that are wondering, it is a 1-8 hit points per level of the monster. So, you may come up against a rat that has 1hp and another, healthier, rat with 8hps
  • Informational - Updated the Haggle Skill description to coincide with recent changes to the skill.
  • Informational - Adjusted the ID Monster skill check (lore). You will still have trouble trying to ID high level monsters even at master lore. This is intended.
  • Informational - Kunari Village is a little more interactive now
  • Informational - Koth breath weapon always succeeds in its attack now. Keep in mind this does use a fair amount of stamina

Small update:
Be sure to pickup those regional maps. They now have annotations. Currently, Nerah's Landing, Druinport, Druinhills, and Snofugg Mountains have been updated. I'll be updating more as I go along.
This was a compromise to figuring out how to allow you to annotate the maps. Sorry to those who like to annotate their own maps.

EA Release - 0.2.8 Notes

Developer Notes
This update includes changes to the needed experience per level. This change will slow down your leveling progress. This was eventually going to happen. I just didn't know when. The fast leveling was fine early on for testing.
This means you will need to start a new game to experience the new system. Mob experience have been adjusted. Quest experience rewards will be adjusted in the next update
Some mobs have had their level increased which will mean they should be a tougher fight.

THE VAULT
The Vault has been added in Nerah's Landing and Druinport. This is my first iteration of adding an item bank system. You can store any unused gear and items in the vault. It feels really clunky right now. For now, you can only drop 1 item at a time into
the vault. I want to make a cleaner quantity selector window. To add an item into the vault, simply drag it from your backpack on to the vault window. To remove an item from the vault and back into your inventory, drag an item from the vault to your
backpack. A quantity selector will display. Select the quantity and hit the OK button. Also, you can move the vault window around by left-clicking and dragging the window to where you want it.
Once I have all of this cleaned up, I'll add vaults to all towns and villages. The storage will be universal and not town specific. So, store an item in Nerah's Landing means you can take it out in Druinport later.

  • New - Chests drops have been changed. The number of items per chest has been reduced. The items that drop is dependent upon the party's level. The higher the level, the better the drops.
  • New - All classes can now learn and master the Alchemy skill
  • New - New experience system: experience needed to level has been increased. The amount of experience a mob gives has been adjusted.
  • New - First iteration of a bank has been introduced. You can store uneeded gear at The Vault. There is only one in Nerah's Landing for now. It's clunky but works. It is planned for your stored gear to be
    available at any town or village. The Vault sits above The Harpy's Claw



  • Fixed - Tremors spell has been updated and knockdown is now applied (provided the check is made) as originally intended
  • Fixed - Tailwind effects no longer stack with lower level effect applied. This includes the movement bonus when sleeping at an inn
  • Fixed - Chests will no longer reset their contents after loading a saved game or zoning
  • Fixed - Locked and Trapped chests will remain unlocked and trap disabled/set off after loading a saved game or zoning - assuming the lock has been picked/trap disabled or triggered
  • Fixed - There was a bug when loading a new game or saved game from the menu after leaving a previous game causing chests, resoruce nodes, and mobs to NOT respawn when they should. This has been corrected.
  • Fixed - Blast of Air, Lightning Storm, and Suffocating Sphere spell books are working correctly, now. Should be able to learn the spells.
  • Fixed - Secret doors will remain opened through saved games now
  • Fixed - Dead party members can no longer examine orbs
  • Fixed - Torchlight spell works correctly, now



  • Informational - Mob xp has been adjusted accordingly for the new system.
  • Informational - Rats, bats, and snakes aren't as squishy
  • Informational - Goblin whelps, and some skeletons aren't the push-overs they once were
  • Informational - Kick and Lunge abilities have had their stun chance reduced
  • Informational - There is a chest in the fire caves that is guaranted to have a lava spirit feather

Happy New Year everyone!
WOW! Another year has gone by. This update introduces the rest of the alchemy resources to the world. Plants can look like flowers, bushes, tropical plants. You will need to look all around and watch the minimap.
Be sure to examine the plants with the Examine key and hovering the mouse. If a plant is harvestable, the name of the plant will be displayed instead of the 'Herb' message shown before.
Also, spell tomes can now be found in shops. If you don't see any in a magical shop, check back later. They may have received some in a shipment. Fixed several bugs which have been brought to my attention.
While in combat, the Examine button and hover the mouse over your target(s) will display a more detailed enemy window than before. You no longer need to use the left-shift key for this.

  • New - Modified the Alchemy and Herbology (flower picking :)) skill checks to align with other skill checks
  • New - Herbs can now be found throughout the lands
  • New - Tomes and manuals can now be found in shops
  • New - Melee ability books are in stock more often in the appropriate shops
  • New - The available skills to select for the warrior class has been updated



  • Fixed - Water spells can be learned now if you have Expert or Master water magic skill. The requirements check was pointing at FIRE magic instead of Water magic - oops.
  • Fixed - Moria Lios trains expert nature magic properly now. Also, corrected her dialog to indicate she trains Expert Nature Magic and not Nature Magic
  • Fixed - Fixed Millard Lindsey's dialog for his ticket to Edgefair from Elderwood.
  • Fixed - Fixed Millard Lindsey's travel to Edgefair from Elderwood. The "Inn" background image was not being removed post travel.
  • Fixed - Several residents have returned to Kunari Village after the renovation. Forgot to put them back in.
  • Fixed - Dwarves should start with a rusty axe and be able to equip regardless of chosen class now
  • Fixed - Elves and Half-Elves should start with a bow and be able to equip the bow regardless of chosen class now
  • Fixed - The Half-Elf racial status is now being applied to Half-Elf characters as intended. This gives them their 10% XP bonus and stat bonuses/penalties
  • Fixed - During party creation, warrior's available skill selection wasn't being set if another class was chosen first. This is now fixed.



  • Informational - Harvestable plants will give the name of the plant when you inspect instead of 'Herb'. Plants can look like flowers, bushes, tropical plants. You will need to look all around.
  • Informational - Holding down the Examine button (default F) and hovering the mouse over a mob while in combat will display a more informative enemy window than before. The Left-Shift key is no longer needed.

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate!

This is a small update. A couple of things I wanted to get into the last update and missed my deadline. Got some towns people to talk to. Not a lot to say; but, useful.
I'll be taking a little time for the holidays. After that, I'll be concentrating on the crafting feature. I plan on having it completed by the 3rd or 4th week of January for the next update.
After that, some cleanup that is needed such as making sure all of the journal quest entries have a completion entry, figure out why options menu stays in front of the options screen, etc

  • New - Villages and towns now have peasants. They have something to say.



  • Fixed - Minimap should show terrain and water in Isle of Talos now
