Lemuria

Important announcement!

When starting the game always pay attention to the parameters specified in the LEMURIA Configuration dialog box. None of these parameters are the result of automatic analysis of your system and they all have to be manually assigned at least once!

In versions 1.0.1 and later, the Graphics quality defaults to the lowest value. Be careful, otherwise the power of your computer may be used only for 10% and you will see simplified textures in a quarter of the original size.

Experience shows that it makes no sense to set this parameter lower than Beautiful for a computer with 4GB RAM.

And about the good stuff. Update 1.0.2 will be out in the next few days.

LEMURIA update 1.0.1

Dear friends, update 1.0.1 has been published. New features added, modifications made based on user feedback.

User interface

  1. The settings section is divided into several sub-sections with a small number of controls in each of them.
  2. The number of varieties of indicators that appear on the screen has been reduced, and their number itself has been reduced.
  3. The Target indicators have become uniform and stand out well.
  4. Load counter became more proportional to the longest possible intervals of loading scenes.
  5. Axis control inversion is now possible.
  6. The end of an episode is now announced not only by a log entry, but also by a special splash screen.
  7. Fixed wrong localizations of some dialog lines and journal entries.
  8. Fixed empty hints.

Launch options

  1. All aspect ratios and screen resolutions are now possible. Note that you still should not run the game at a horizontal resolution less than 1600.
  2. Running in windowed mode and switching between windowed and screened modes is now possible.

Gameplay

  1. The game now more actively instructs the user about the current task and how to perform it, highlighting the right places in the location, setting goal and exit indicators from the level, especially in the first chapters.
  2. At the beginning, the user is shown how to change control sensitivity without going to the main menu.
  3. In the first chapter, the number of turrets now depends on the difficulty level: there are no turrets on Easy, on Normal 2 and on Heavy 3.
  4. Reduced the number of enemies in the infection ward.

Thanks to everyone who helped with their feedback and support to get this update out!

Work plan for May 2022

Dear Friends!
The following changes are planned for May:

Version 1.0.1. Will be released before May 23

  1. Divide the settings section into several sub-sections
  2. Deactivate hated turrets in the chapter about Afandistan. Perhaps leave them for the High difficulty level.
  3. Remove superfluous on-screen indicators, and highlight the main ones.
  4. In the boot dialog allow any aspect ratio and windowed mode (if it will be usable)
  5. At the beginning of the game instruct the user about the possibility and convenience of hot-setting the sensitivity of the mouse and camera
  6. Fix the counter for loading the Clinic chapter (after the underground parking)
  7. Fix some hints without text
  8. Lots of minor changes

Version 1.0.2 to be released by June 1st

  1. Decrease the number of aggressive patients in the clinic's infection department
  2. Reduce the volume of the loudest things: the helicopters and their guns in Afandistan and the Statues of Conservation on Necromancer Island
  3. Fix the lack of physics of the elements of the locations which lack physics
  4. On Necromancer Island, fix the displacement of the hotspot's trigger point to the right of the player's character one way or another

This list can be changed or supplemented. Write your suggestions in the comments.
Thank you all!

LEMURIA launches

Hi! These are walkthroughs of different chapters of the game in different languages and at different difficulty levels.
Maybe there will be some of the future DLC.

LEMURIA launched!

LEMURIA is a 3rd person adventure shooter with gunfights, dialogue, and numerous cutscenes, set against a backdrop of massive street riots and the beginning of a deadly epidemic. The gameplay is classic 3-person shooter, interspersed with dialogue and hotspot activation.

Guns, girls, cars, gold, uranium and wads of money - well, what else? Maybe an SSD-drive with stolen digital coins? No? Well then the grand prize is to get out of all this alive! When civilization begins to collapse and its laws are no longer in effect, all the problems arising have to be solved by new methods.

Main characters

The main characters of the game, unemployed veteran Alex and aspiring spy Kanta Anora, begin their journey to the African country Lemuria, each for their own reason, each from their own end of the world, each in their own way. What they will become--friends, enemies, lovers--time will tell.

Alex will have to use the skills he learned in the army more than once on the way to his dream, and Kanta is capable of (and most likely will) arrange Armageddon when performing any, even the simplest task.

Music

The game uses music by two well-known authors - Chris Onyak and John Leonard French. A special mixing system allows the musical background to smoothly adjust to gameplay changes.

AI

NPC AI can attack, retreat, shoot from cover, search for medical supplies and ammo, unite into groups and scatter in different directions, overcome obstacles and wait out of sight of the enemy. And all this without preconceived triggers, making every battle unique and replayable.

Customizability

The game has a large number of customizable parameters, let's stop at just a few.

You can customize the duration and intensity of the firefights, the degree of protection of the Player and the strength of the weapon, or just choose rom the prepared presets.

With a few clicks of the settings, the game's visuals can be altered to range from a prim melodrama for the whole family to a shamelessly licentious VHS action movie from the 80s.

The hardness of the image on the screen can vary from crisp TV camera to soft film. The camera rotation speed and inertia can be changed even during gameplay, by entering the Main Menu.

Balance

The player can adjust the ratio of firefights to dialogue time, as well as the complexity of these firefights, according to his preferences. It should be noted that in any case, tactical decisions will be more important than marksmanship. It is also important to know that this game does not encourage camping and fights it by increasing the visibility and damage taken.

The gameplay is made as varied as possible, and in each new location the player is likely to have to find new tactics. With the settings set correctly, the game will move on to the next stage 10 seconds before you get bored with the current stage.

Key Features

  • Alternating playing as two completely different main characters avoids monotony;
  • Maximum realistic look;
  • Advanced enemy AI;
  • Dynamic, replayable battles whose outcome depends not only on accurate shooting, but also on tactical decisions;
  • Cinematic cutscenes;
  • Diverse enemies and companions;
  • Realistic uncompromising stealth;
  • Interesting live dialogues;
  • Varied locations;
  • The player doesn't just go from point to point for a plot-imposed goal, but can solve annoying social problems along the way, such as aggressive migrants, bad medicine, and high loan rates;
  • Music by such masters as Chris Onyak and John Leonard French dynamically adapted to the gameplay.

Conclusion

In addition to uncompromising firefights and saving another "demoiselle en détresse", the player is treated to a fair amount of stealth and immersion into the depths of Kanta's subconscious in a fantasy reality.

This game is fine entertainment for a few evenings, giving you the opportunity to shoot, talk, wander through a magical jungle and maybe do something else...

Dark Side of the Sun chapter walkthrough

A misguided but reckless walkthrough of the chapter Dark Side of the Sun. Instead of just sneaking through vegetable gardens, Kanta ruins expensive quadcopters, smashes enemies, and destroys nearly defenseless forest wolves.
Well, she's like that...
