After heated discussions on how to best approach the problems with outpost capturing, we’ve decided to implement control points for each Outpost which should resolve most of the exploits related to the outpost claiming. We’re also giving you the ability to manually collapse mines and adding fixes for trading as a dessert. Oh, and one more thing — we’ve tweaked lag compensation based on the feedback we’ve received.
Patch Notes (ver. 0.25.20.0):
New Features and Tweaks:
Added an Outpost Totem — new object that will be placed whenever an outpost is built. Abilities “Initiate a Holy Judgement”, “Claim Outpost” and “Stop Outpost Claiming” are now only available from the Outpost Totem
Added coloring to the chat tab with counselor
Added “Collapse” and “Break Reinforce” abilities, which can be used inside a mine. Remember: the tile you want to collapse cannot be occupied by any people and/or horses
Added new premium clothes — King’s Outfits
Bug Fixes and Optimizations:
Fixed the problem that caused items being stuck in the trading post when purchasing with delivery
Fixed error preventing orders’ completion from the same trading post they were placed on
Deleted textures that were no longer in use from the client folder
Fixed a bug that caused chat with counselor to close upon exiting the game
Tweaked lag compensation mechanism

Dev News #158
Hey, Feudalists!
In the recent update, we have tweaked the costs of guild claims’ upkeep, cutting them nearly in half. This change makes the maintenance of your guild claims much easier now, especially if you are a small, still growing guild. There were also other tweaks and fixes for certain old issues.
With that update, we have also returned the updated list of game world rules that is now, once again, visible when you are traveling from starting island to Godenland. It includes very important notes on the forbidden and bannable activities that are simply called exploits; attacking through walls, jumping over enemy walls using non-siege objects. These rules are also listed here. Rest assured that in time the ability to perform such activities will be properly, mechanically blocked, as we are working on that, but until that happens, it’s considered a bannable exploit and we urge you to avoid doing those things. Thank you for your understanding, and please make sure to report such behavior to our support team.
Now, we would like to share with you a bit on what we are currently working on and what can you expect in upcoming updates. Among these things are long-awaited fixes for the market issues that you folks have been struggling with for far too long. There’s also coming new, very much requested a feature, which is the ability to manually collapse the mine. You will no longer be forced to wait days until the decay kicks in. And the third important thing that we are about to implement soon is a system that will remove the heavily abused ability to cancel outpost claiming from nearby buildings, through the windows, etc.
We would like to thank you all once again for staying in touch with us, sharing your thoughts and amazing ideas. You folks help us make this game better and more fun for everyone, the spice your feedback must flow, so do not hesitate, as we are always happy to hear you out. Gonna keep going onwards and upwards!
And it’s time for the Community Spotlight!
Today, the Crown Herald brought us splendid news: a few guilds united at Godenland and put aside their differences, to build the most gigantic and ambitious building that has ever been seen on Abella - the Coliseum. There they plan to hold the 1st Feudal Olympic Games when the construction will be finished. The structure will have a gigantic fighting arena 18x28 tiles in size, big enough to make team fights up to 15vs15 melee or jousting, and even probably big enough to host horse races like Hippodrome!
You can see a blueprint of the Coliseum below:
Everyone is invited to participate in the grand construction of Olympic Coliseum.
Join the Godenland Olympics event server in Discord: https://discord.gg/ASTRrZG
Life Is Feudal team is happy to say that we will support the event. Place of construction is located in srv 43 at the claim “Godenland Colliseum”. Anyone interested in joining the construction should give a shout to the main coordinator, Fireskye#4515 (EN).
Construction work has already begun and once it’s completed, the guild claim will be replaced with neutral admin claim.
If you have any other amazing ideas of events that may be organized in LiF - let us know, we will be happy to support your guild! (Catherine Chudinova#3714 are waiting for your ideas)

(Dev News #157) Something Big & Something Fancy
Hey, Feudalists!
In the last week’s update, along with a bunch of tweaks and fixes, we have also brought you the long-awaited upgrade for the container windows. With their design being improved and their size increased, it’s now much more comfortable to use them, especially if your containers contain large quantities of various resources. This in addition with new sorting options should make your job with managing lots of items in guild’s containers much easier.
While on this topic, we want to thank you all for providing feedback regarding these changes! As always, we greatly appreciate all your comments.
On another note, as you all well know, last week we have closed Epleland world, but not before one last photo op with the remaining active players! All by the courtesy of ‘Knights of the Eclipse’, who have hosted that final event in their castle. You can see this last goodbye on our beloved RP world being immortalized in this gallery. Thanks for being there!
We have no doubts that all of you Eplelanders will find your place somewhere on Godenland, if you haven’t already, and will enjoy your time there. Bigger world gives bigger opportunities, who knows, you may even achieve more than before...
By the way, make sure to share your feudal highs, lows, battles and adventures that you've had on Epleland in our Glory of the Old Worlds album.
Another important topic we want to discuss is Judgment Hour and buildings protecting the movable objects. As you know, not all buildings protect these movables and we want to clarify which do, so you can keep your valuables safe. You can see the list of these buildings here.
We also want to mention the new decorative tabards we have implemented recently that you can acquire from our shop. They will add some more style to your already awesomely looking characters. With these purple, red and blue colored tabards you will definitely stand out in the crowd!
And finally, in the patch released this week, which included more fixes and optimizations, as usual, we have implemented some new rider statues to decorate your settlements with. Whether placed around your castles, in the middle of town squares or along the roads, they'll be a perfect addition to your beautiful settlements.
Now, let’s wrap this all up with yet another good news regarding our fixes. A recent hotfix has resolved the issue with the Instanced Battle map. It should now work properly and help you navigate, especially through some dense forests.
Have a great weekend!

(Dev News #156) Epleland Travel Tips and Statues
Hey, Feudalists!
Today we have released a patch with a couple of small, yet vital new features, mechanic tweaks, and some general fixes. One of the important changes added with this patch is that now repairing objects is not allowed during Holy Judgement on neighboring and burning fief. Please keep that in mind. We have also fixed the issue with Trade posts and some outposts not upgrading or downgrading to or from level 3, and some other things. You can check the full list in the patch notes.
This week yet another guild has successfully completed the 'Pillars of the community' challenge — Guild 'Ravens Cross Citadel'. Kudos, feudalists!
Earlier this week we have announced that the server of Epleland is closing on Monday, May 20th. After this date, the world will no longer be available in the game launcher.
This decision is based on the support costs of game servers and the world’s population.
For comfortable settlement and exploration of Godenland all active Epleland players will receive 20, 000 GF compensation. All your characters and their skills, stat points, alignment values, and Premium shop inventory will be transferred to Godenland. Characters equipped items and your character’s inventory will not be transferred, and neither will be items from Trade posts and other containers.
The T3 and T4 skills will be capped at 90. This means that low tier skills will not be capped, while higher tier skills will be.
Decoration Kits used on Epleland since 0.2.0 Update release will be refunded.
The transfer process may take over 8 hours, keep that in mind. Epleland will go down first for character exports, and as soon as the export is done, we will bring down Godenland to import the characters there. They will be delivered to one of the four Green zone areas on Godenland, where you can safely and comfortably start your new journey, and build your Private Claim there.
Stay tuned to our #notifications channel for the latest announcements so that you don’t miss the info about the transfer!
And before Epleland shuts down, we wanted to cherish the memories of many adventures that we've had there and to invite you all to a memorable Epleland photo op, that is organized by the guild 'Knights of the Eclipse'. Read the full information about the photo op event in our #events channel on Discord.
And the last, but not the least — we wanted to introduce the brand new decorative statues that our art team has prepared for this week’s patch:
That’s all for today, have a great weekend!

(Dev News #155) Fixes, Challenges and a Timelapse
Hey, Feudalists!
This week we are continuing our hard work on squashing bugs and overall improvement to the current version of the game. In this week’s patch, we have implemented an abilities allowance during Holy Judgement. You can take a look at the full list of what was added (and add it to your bookmarks!) in this spreadsheet. Please note that 'Repair' ability is not working as described there and will be fixed with the next patch.
Along with that, we have added many various fixes this week. You can read the full patch notes and check what was fixed or changed.
In other news this week, yet another guild challenge has been completed! We would like to congratulate Vanris Expedition on achieving the Pillars of the Community! Way to go, guys!
By the way, we wanted to remind you that this challenge still has 3 slots for other guilds, so there is still an opportunity to beat it too, no time to waste — upgrade your guild monument to the 4th tier, and message AnastasiiaQuail#3214 on Discord with a screenshot showing the accomplishment. Good luck!
We’d like to finish the dev news off with another player creations. This week it’s another timelapse video from Betasonic, this time more pvp-oriented:

(Dev News #153) Crossbows and Combat Tweaks
Hey, Feudalists!
As promised, this week’s patch is a combat patch that contains a new wave of combat and siege related tweaks. With this update we have added changes to stamina, wounds, bleeding and fracture calculation mechanics, as well as some slashing damage tweaks. We would like you to try the combat patch out, see how the new tweaks work for you in the battle and would be grateful for your feedback. Once players start experiencing and testing the new combat mechanics in the patch, we are planning to organize an AMA dedicated to combat systems, so it’s a good idea to start making notes and sending us your feedback. Looking forward to hearing from you!
This patch contains some other tweaks and a bunch of fixes and optimizations, including Trade Post delivery fixes, a bug where the experience bar would not fill up, and many others. Check the patch notes for the full list of tweaks and fixes.
Last Saturday a player-organized event ‘Feudalists and Peasants meetings’ took place in the Green Zone of Godenland. The event went pretty well, the Clergy guild managed to gather about 30 feudalists across Abella. The guests were welcome to trade on Market, join the job fair, and gather for political discussions. The last activity was the wedding, where brave knights had to fight for the bride. If you’ve missed the event, here is the recording of the steam, check the time codes if you want to see the wedding challenge and ceremony (the commentary is primarily in Russian):

If you’re interested in visiting or organizing player-run RP events, hit up the LiF Team on our official Discord, we would be happy to support your initiative! And if you happen to be a streamer and a content maker who is willing to be featured on our LiF:MMO official Steam Broadcasts page, message Elizabeth (Laskin)#7217 with your channel link, and we will work something out!
In other news, today we are introducing some brand new Heavy Crossbow Skins in the Premium Store. There are three exquisite options from you to choose from:
Templar Crossbow — covered in scales of red lacquer depicting a temple's stained-glass window. The body of the crossbow is made of wood, but reinforced with thin layers of tempered blued steel;
Sleeping Guard — a unique weapon decorated with an ancient Sleeping Guard crossbow, for those willing to be vigilant and never miss;
Cavalier Crossbow — a one-of-a-kind weapon embossed with runic designs. The butt is decorated with a boar's head, the symbol of Jarl Dolwig the Dappled, who once reigned in
the Northeast.
Which one suits best for you? Hurry to the store, all three are available at a discount to celebrate their debut!
That’s it for today, feudalists!
Have a great weekend!

(Dev News #152) Military Sieges, Events, and Cool Decorative Shields
Hey, Feudalists!
Today we have rolled out a patch dedicated to Military Outpost tweaks. Thanks to those changes, the sieging actions using this type of outpost will be more adequate and logical. And that’s not all! We have also implemented a new type of NPC — archers! These guards will help you protect your Military Outposts and will target anyone who doesn’t have ‘Can Enter’ permission (so it might be a good idea for guild leaders to provide their allies with this permission). Note that the archers are not designed to protect the outport by themselves, but they are a rather good addition to live player-defenders firepower.
There are even more tweaks and fixes here and there, and you are welcome to read about them in the patch notes.
Also with the current patch, we implement the following siege/raiding rules:
You can use ONLY siege ladders (and siege platforms) and terraforming (or natural terrain) to get over the walls at ANY time (JH or no JH).
You're allowed to use jumping, pounce ability, and horses to get on or over the walls.
We have added a new type of premium decoration — Decorative Shields.
Now you can enhance your place with awesome looking shields and emphasize your warrior pride. There are quite a lot to choose from, so, if this is something that you’ve been longing for - hurry to the store:
And for the weekend activities: Alexejcraft’s event is taking place tomorrow at 17:00 GMT on server 63 , do not forget to pay a visit to the Clergy guild. There will be a lot of activities for everyone - if you’re from a small guild - it’s a good idea to come with your goods and sell your stuff on their market, if you’re a guild leader - join the lobby for negotiations and networking, and if you’re a couple - you can get your blessing from Clergy and get wed!
Join the Clergy Discord for more details.
And another player’s initiative is starting this weekend — a feudalist and a youtuber Zagwar has started a screenshot contest - Artisan Life that we are inviting you to take part in. All you need to do is to tell a bit about your job in LiF:MMO (if you’re a farmer, a hunter, a smith, etc) and upload the picture to the contest album. The contest will last from April 19 to April 27, and 3 winners will be determined on livestream on Zagwar’s channel on April 28. Strike a pose and upload your photos to the contest album to win one of 3 following prizes:
