When is Episode Two: Brave New World out on Steam?:
- 12:01 EDT / 9:01 PDT / 17:01 BST. Note that this is 24 hour time format, so 12:01 is not midnight.
Important: It may take up to 5 minutes to propagate worldwide. If it doesn't start downloading on the dot, just sit tight for a couple of minutes.

Why isn't it out at midnight in my timezone for Steam? Why can't you do midnight releases?
Steam runs off a global launch time for the store page, so one single time has to be set. Additionally, when we launch on Steam, we want to ensure that we are in the office to handle any problems that may arise.
Console stores run of local times and thus can do rolling midnight releases.
What about preloading?
We know preloading is important and we have discussed the matter on our side. The reason that we are not able to make preload available on Steam is because Valve have advised us that for titles of this size (~5GB is relatively small), the Steam un-encryption process at launch actually takes almost everyone longer than if they would just download the game normally (the unencryption process requires Steam to download additional files). So by enabling preloading, most people would have to wait longer, not shorter to play the game.
Why do Consoles get to preload?
Preloading is available on Xbox and PlayStation as it is offered through Sony and Microsoft based on their own policies and which use different processes at launch.

We are excited to announce that for the past few months we have been working with the Tolma4 Team to create an unofficial fan translation of Life is Strange: Before the Storm on Steam.
Prior to the release of Before the Storm – episode one, we starting speaking with the Tolma4 Team as they began planning and creating a fan translation. This will not be an "official" translation, and Square Enix will not have tested or verified it in any way, but work on the translation is underway.
The Tolma4 Team are right now hard at work on the translation but at this point, we are not able to provide you with any news on a release date. We ask for your patience as we continue to explore the ways in which we can help make this fan translation the best it can be and we will update you as soon as there is news.

- Official Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers are now plug and play supported
- Official Xbox One wireless controller are already plug and play supported. Please update your drivers if you have any issues playing with an Xbox One wireless controller.
- Third party branded controllers, which all have their own configurations, still need to tweaked on user side using the steps in this post.
We are aware that a small number of users may be encountering other minor issues and would like to assure you that we are continuing to track and investigate reported problems. We hope to roll out further fixes with the release of Episode Two.

Should you have technical difficulties.
We're now just over half a day past Steam Launch. The vast majority of players appear to be playing the game without any problems. However, as with every game launch, there are invariably certain issues causing problems for a small number of players trying to run the game.
We are continually investigating common issues and will try to reply where possible. We have already provided fixes and workarounds for a number of issues.
Should you have any technical problems, please ensure you post in the Tech Forum (Not the General Discussions).
We've additionally created a sticky thread that we will continually update with fixes and workarounds. This thread will continue to develop over time so do check back later if your issue hasn't been solved by it.

Just in case you haven’t heard much about Life is Strange: Before the Storm, this is the story of Chloe Price. It takes place three years prior to the events of Season One, around the time when Chloe meets Rachel Amber for the first time. As Before the Storm doesn't take place immediately before the events of Season One, even diehard fans won't know what the story is about and where is will lead… we're looking forward to reading all your initial theories and ideas once you've played Episode One!
The bond that Chloe and Rachel develop over the time they spend together is something special. Almost everyone can name that one person who defined a very special time of their life. In some cases, these relationships can span a few short months and in other cases, decades. To celebrate the release of Episode One we wanted to further explore and highlight some real life stories of friendship and devotion. Tomorrow is the big day for us as Episode One: Awake of Life is Strange: Before the Storm releases! The game will unlock in your Steam library at 12:01 EDT / 9:01 PDT / 17:01 BST August 31st. (More Local times here)
Additionally, in order to provide you with all the facts upfront before the launch, we wanted to make you aware in advance that we have just published our EULA for Steam and that Before the Storm will include Denuvo.
We would like to assure you that we have done extensive testing with the software and that its implementation with Before the Storm has no impact on PC resources. You should therefore not see any performance related issues as a result of Denuvo.
Additionally, Denuvo will not require an “always-on” connection. You will be able to enjoy Life is Strange: Before the Storm offline.
