Lost in Fantaland 1.0 Released Now!

Hello, dear players!

We are thrilled to announce that after two years of continuous development and optimization, Lost in Fantaland has finally transitioned from its Early Access (EA) version to the 1.0 release today!

During the EA period, we completed the development of six characters across three classes, nearly reworked the Brave character entirely, and enhanced the differentiation among characters to provide a more distinctive experience for players.

We also added ten levels of difficulty, including mutated enemies and adverse weather conditions for you to challenge. Additionally, we've introduced numerous traps, bosses, monsters, treasures, and items, while optimizing many gameplay issues and fixing a plethora of bugs and crashes.

We sincerely thank all of our players for their tremendous support and patience during the EA period. The release of the official version today would not have been possible without your help and dedication!

Version 1.0 Update Details:


New Content:



  • Full controller support, including popular PC controllers, Xbox series controllers, DualShock 4, DualSense, and Steam Deck.
  • New feature: Cards that have been carried and completed a run now have a background texture for distinction.
  • New Chapter 1 Boss: Wandering Witch.
  • New treasures: Maneki-neko (招财猫), Firework Kit, Frying Pan, Frying Pan EX, Fire Fan EX.
  • New items: Tweezer, Pudding, Tomato, Bitter Melon, Laxative, Throwing Hammer, Concealed Weapon V2.0, Pink Gummy, Molotov Cocktail, Potato, Holy Potion.
  • New battlefield interaction: Displacement Orb.

Content Changes:



  • Improved tutorial level experience.
  • When resetting a battle, players will be prompted if they wish to continue after a character's death.
  • Various UI optimizations and added sound effects.

Content Fixes:



  • A large number of bug fixes and translation corrections.


Future Plans:


Regarding the future of Lost in Fantaland after version 1.0, it largely depends on the success of the release, as our current revenue hasn't yet covered the previous development costs. However, there are several things we are confident about:

  • We are eagerly working on porting the game to mobile and console platforms.
  • We will continue fixing bugs, balancing adjustments, and improving user experience.
  • If we secure sufficient financial support, we hope to develop new content for the game, such as new modes and DLCs in the future.
  • Over the past few years, we've accumulated many new game ideas, and we hope to quickly prototype some new games and share them with you.

Lost in Fantaland 1.0 Will Launch on September 26!

Dear Adventurers,

We are thrilled to announce that our game Lost in Fantaland will officially move from Early Access to Version 1.0 on September 26, 2024, at 00:00 (PDT)! This major update will bring updated content, features, and quality improvements. We will announce the details on the release date. After the release of 1.0, the price will remain unchanged.

We had originally planned to "simultaneously" release Lost in Fantaland Version 1.0 and the console port at the end of June. However, after numerous negotiations with the console publishers, we regret to inform you that the previously scheduled release for the Nintendo Switch and PS4/5 versions will be delayed. The official version for Steam will be launched separately and ahead of the console versions.
We will announce the release date for the console versions a little later, and we thanks for your patience as we work through this.

Whether you have just started exploring the world of Fantaland or have been with us since the beginning, we sincerely thank you for your support and understanding throughout this incredible journey. Your feedback and encouragement are the driving forces behind our continued improvement.

Bug fix:
Monster Horn stunned the Griffin and it stands on the same grid as the player.
The Burning Skull's damage was transferred to the Tremorg that had not burrowed up yet.
In countries that use commas for decimal points, the program does not read the volume Settings correctly.

Changes:
Dust Blast will no longer explode on themselves.
Credits will no longer infinitely scroll and will automatically close after scrolling.
When there are same actions in the enemy's action list, a number will be added for differentiation.

Fixed an issue where Tangled effects were not properly cleared on cards with the Retain effect.
Fixed incorrect enemy action lists.
Corrected the click on nodes after exchanging 38 fragments event for a Wine Urn in Chapter 3.

Changes:
When defeats the boss, avoid a mutual defeat.
Modified the logic of the Deterrent debuff and added a tip for random movement direction.
Corrected the actual attack direction triggering the compass effect for the Trickster's back kick, instead of the direction of the card played.

Bug Fixes:
Fixed a missing defense action in the Rune Golem's move list.
Fixed a bug where picking up throwing knives in the Tornado didn't trigger the Tornado's blow-away effect.
Fixed some English translation errors and omissions.
Fixed several crashes.

REGULAR UPDATE 20240124

Hello everyone, we have a game update! (Still surviving...)

Changes:



  • We have undertaken a massive amount of translation and proofreading work (English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese). This task alone has consumed a considerable amount of time as we needed to handle numerous localized content issues, such as mistranslations, errors, and typos.
  • There have been extensive UI adjustments and optimizations, with larger and clearer text. To ensure that players of different languages can easily read, we have put in a lot of effort to optimize almost half of the UI panels.
  • The movement speed of characters on the battlefield has been increased.
  • The option to purchase the 2x game speed has been removed and now it is available by default.
  • On the world map, the icon of Artifact Fragments will be marked when there are upgradeable items available.
  • Effects triggered by Recycle Box (and other Artifacts) will occur after drawing cards instead of entering the battlefield.
  • If a boss enemy enters an unattackable state while having throwing knives embedded, they will throw the knives to the ground.
  • The "Reset Move" button can now be used even when a card is selected.
  • The cold effects have been simplified.
  • Many missing sound effects have been added.
  • There are some other changes that we forgot to record...


Bug Fix:



  • Some lists do not scroll to the top when opened for the second time.
  • Can not pause in the world map/battlefield by pressing ESC.
  • Pressing Enter does not execute confirmation-type actions.
  • After pausing during a battle using shortcuts, some panels keep opening and unable to play the next battle.
  • Fixed the scroll image of the world map.
  • Nodes that have already been visited on the world map still display as "Unknown".
  • Destroying of shurb happens before damage reduction.
  • The Trickster can perform diagonal steps while Ensnared.
  • The black bars indicating selected cards and accumulating armor value do not appear for cards like Flame Shield.
  • The visual effect of the electric mark has issues when the enemy flips horizontally.
  • The effect of Burn occurs after armor is reduced to zero, resulting in armor penetration.
  • The Natural Force card refreshes the compass when breaking cacti/rock formations.
  • The conductive spread on the water not occured by lightning weather.
  • The upgraded version of the Flame Spirit card is missing two keywords.
  • The sound effect for the Sparkling Grenade explosion is incorrect.
  • The damage of Instantly Trigger by Void Crystals is doubled.
  • Void Crystals explode multiple times when met flames on black sand.
  • Fixed a amount of bugs caused by Tremorg.


About our next update:


We have scheduled the next update to be part of the 1.0 version release, which is estimated to be launched around June. The update will include important promised features such as controller support.
At that time, we will conclude the Early Access phase, and we will also simultaneously release versions for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation platforms.
