Long term PMC contracts
Another addition to PMC (clans) would be long-term contracts. These contracts can be created by the PMC owner or any other PMC member who would have the rights to create such contracts. These contracts are resource focused, meaning that the subject of the contract would be some kind of resource both rare and common. There will be an option to either make this contract public or PMC only, it will allow PMC to use the freelancers to obtain resources and reward their own privates for their hard work since public contracts can be accepted by PMC members as well. This is just a small piece of the PMC mechanics we are working on.
PMC ownership
A private Military Company is a business, bloody and dirty. And what usually happens to this kind of business? It either will be taken, it will be closed or it would be sold. We are adding an option to sell your PMC which will automatically rank up the buyer to the owner and rank down the seller to private (by default). Optionally you will be able to set terms with details, such as the rank which will be seller after the operation is completed and whether it would be possible to fire the seller afterward. PMC cost can't be less than the PMC assets that would be transferred to the buyer. So if you see that PMC bank is getting cleared, you might ask the command what is going on.

New ways to die
New ways to die, is a way to describe shortly the work we've doing. We've added a lot of traps that would be used by NPCs and might be used by players. Trap could be a poison one that would cut other players capability to run or to escape. It would mess with vision, sound, and many other aspects would become damaged one way or another. There will be antidotes, but antidotes are expensive and it would require skills and resources to craft those. We also added traps that would harm by dealing permanent (with the opportunity to remove it) damage to stats, these traps will not be able to kill your opponent but they would weaken him for a long time. This is a small part of traps collection and NPCs would use them. The next post would also spread some light on countermeasures against such tactics.
Class Update
Mercenaries have different skills and while in Lost Region players could be everybody, some of the mercenaries are better in mining and trap art others are better at brute force fighting and sniping. Meaning different mercs would learn different skills at different speed, and some skills would be capped by level. We are working to make all classes would be useful, however, some are much better in different situations. For example, fighting in offices buildings, or tunnels makes trappers the most dangerous enemies. Since they can set traps really fast, and the traps they placed are much more dangerous. Also, trappers know how those things work, so for them it much easier to find those traps disarm them, and even reuse them. So if you are going on a mission that would involve close quarters think about trapper. Currently, we have 8 classes and we are working on several more. We will update about the progress shortly

Global events
And another important feature of online games is player involvement and if the previous post regarding the story was about a personal player story, the global events is a part of the story of the whole Lost Region world. We are working on X types of global events. Update global events, these global events will be following the big game updates, it will both help to introduce the update and continue the global story development of the game. Seasonal Global events, these events are a set of events that will be appearing during the year through seasons, they will not have a big influence on story development. Global Events based on map stage, these events will be called during faction wars. These events would have a great influence on the factions. And of course, also these events will give rewards to those who participated.
PMC trade
We wanted to add more interaction between PMCs and the world. The PMC would receive a trade contract from minor and major factions, completing this contract would give the PMC buffs (depending on the faction and the contract the buf would change) and it would provide the faction with stuff they needed right now, which would help them to take more control points. The contracts themselves would depend on the PMC level of strength, basically there will only be contracts that PMC would be able to complete, and of course in order to receive such contracts your PMC needs to be at least neutral with the faction. This way we want players to be more of an influence in Lost Region world.

Story
We are also working on story missions that will advance the player through the world lore. This missions will also provide rewards that can be used in base advancement and mercenaries gear. This missions also provide some guidness on what to do to kill and shoot effectively, so a little bit of tutorial there. Overall this part of the game will tell you a short story how we end up in this LR with faction fighting over map control, some guides on how to play and rewards that can be used on your base. Some story line mercenaries are also included. We will tell more details in further updates.
Minor control points
This feature is an addition to PMC (clans) in LR. Since major factions are battling key points of the map, PMCs as well as minor faction would be fighting for minor control points. This control points will provide decent buffs and would also provide additional contracts with major factions. We are working on this control points right now. Our level designers are creating those buildings and areas. The dynamic of minor control points battles is high unlike major faction battles that could last for weeks, minor battles are less huge and are more often. Another thing that would allow player to compete over the map control.

Caravan
Another activity for those who like to raid is caravan raiding. These caravans spawn for major factions and they are always spawning from key locations, such as the ammo production facility, and always go to faction HQ. In between these two locations players will be able to raid those caravans, however in order to perform such action you will need intel on where is caravan right now and block the road (or shoot everyone really fast), once the guard is handled with, players will be able to take the loot and go home. As with all other faction activity, this one will also affect the reputation between player and faction. This way we want to give players the opportunity to take stuff from factions with force not only with a positive reputation factor, but be worried that bad reputation with all major factions may cause a very difficult gameplay.
Minor faction and major factions
So who are those minor factions? These are factions that don't compete to control the LR map for resources and influence, but these factions are always working with one of the major factions, and they also provide missions to the player, the rewards are unique for each faction. Improving the reputation with the minor faction will not improve reputation with the major faction and vice versa but in terms of raiding caravans (the previous post) minor factions might be assigned to guard them and killing them will definitely ruin your reputation, so caravan is kind of all in. Minor factions are not as important as major factions, but they will provide a lot of benefits if you are working with them, most importantly these benefits are unique and if you have a bad reputation with major faction you will be able to use minor factions to fix your reputation.

Radio
We are working on giving certain sense to radio equipment, for instance, having a radio would allow you to speak with your teammates, of course, if they also have a radio. Furthermore, we are planning to make it a very important tool that will allow you to reach your base and ask for supplies. Note that your merc still must rest, so it would not allow you to wander the LR map timelessly, but you are out of ammo, or you need additional tools that you do have on your base you will be able to order the needed tools. The downside of the radio it can be heard by any who wants to hear you. In this case, we are talking about bandits and hostile factions that might hear that you are out of ammo. We are planning to add several radio equipment, long and short range, analog and digital.
Finding the merc
There are 2 ways to get yourself more mercenaries. The first one is simple just higher them, this way mercs are always novices. The second way is to find them, you might be wandering around and hear a distress call or just simply find a wounded merc, you might just shoot him and take all his belongings which is also a choice, but if you help him, he would be able to tell why he is here and tell where was he going, in this case, you would be able to find a hidden loot, in most cases, this loot would be a great choice. But on some occasions merc would be so grateful that he would want to join you, note that you must bring him to your base alive in order to higher him. What to choose is up to the players, our goal is to give more options to choose from.

Changing priority during seasons
As you might remember we have some major control points that major factions would love to have, the most valuable are those that provide ammo weapons, and meds, we are adding a new logic to the control priority. For example, during winter thermal stations would be targeted more while during summer they will barely be targeted. Under the hood the allied players (those who have a decent amount of reputation with the major faction that controls the thermal station) would receive production bonuses on their bases and the fatigue of your mercs will decay faster. During in-game events such as disease breakthroughs, medical facilities would become more desirable targets for factions. In conclusion, factions will almost always change their priority to stay strong in the ongoing situation, as for players the priority targets would be rewarded far more juicy.
Commanders and rewards
Hostages are a great way to get some money from different factions or something you might want. We are working on a new system that allows you to take hostages, note that taking hostages on your own would be difficult and the number of hostages would be very limited. However, with friends or PMC members, it would be much easier. So why do take hostages? First of all, why waste your ammo, second of all for money and other good stuff? The stuff itself would depend on the faction, their economic situation, and the person you've taken hostage. And of course the downside, factions do not like when you kill their grunts, and nor do they like when you take them hostage and ask for rewards.

Tailoring
In world of Lost Region the most important people are those who produce something. Weapon and ammo manufacturers are the elite, everybody love them because they produce the way to survive in this chaotic environment. But there are those who don't really get a lot of credit, but they are as important as those who make weapon, running naked in the forest, no camouflage, no protection at all and the pockets are simply ripped, which means less inventory slots. Tailors and tailoring as a new skill will allow to repair (if it is possible) and craft new clothes. Starting with simple T-shirt and ending with thermal underwear and body armor. You will need various resources, but it all starts with torn apart clothes, so never throw away your old clothes.
Local bosses
And now to bandits. Everybody fights with them and they fight with everybody, true freedom lovers. Previously there were just regular patrols of bandits that could attack the player or soldiers from other factions. We are working on new system that will boost the bandits if they are successful. If bandits manages to kill the player it would not boost him much, but if several players were killed and in addition faction patrols were destroyed there is high chance that organized criminal master mind or simply bandit leader would appear. He will settle somewhere safe and will try to soak the all the goods around. For players this kind of NPCs is a great reputation booster, since all factions hate bandits and loot would be appreciable as well.

Level Mine is also getting reworked
The mine is also getting reworked. We are planning to make this location another objective for major factions to control. Not only it is hard to assault the location, but it will also give the controlling faction the means to restore the production of ammo and weapon. Players would be able to scavenge the ruined part of the mine and visit the part which will be controlled by one of the factions. Faction territory will be heavily guarded, while a ruined part of the mine might have some bandits and players wandering around. The ruined part is not that rich with ore, but it has its own secrets which the player can scavenge. Visit our social pages to learn more: linkedin facebook
Mine and bullets
While the level itself is a whole separate story in terms of level design and gameplay, it also has an influence on ammo and weapon production. The faction that controls the mine would be producing stockpiles of ammo for their own usage and for sale as well. Meaning players would be able to purchase ammo from the faction better price, also it will provide an upgraded weapon stockpile. The downside, the faction that is controlling the mine would waste a lot of its own resources to maintain its safety and keep it mining., meaning it would be weaker in terms of manpower and logistics will suffer as well. The opposite faction that lost control of the mine will still be able to produce ammo for their needs, not as much as the opposite faction, but enough to take back control or maintain the control of current positions. Players would be able to complete profitable contracts for weapons and ammo.

Airport progress
Airport heart of the Sentinel Alliance. As you remember we've been working on it for the past few weeks. The work is still in progress, it is a big location and more over this location is the home of a major faction. Our goal is to create a city inside the airport. Around the airport, there will be a zone that can be looted, but be careful with shooting. With sentinel snipers guarding the area, they might think You have bad ideas regarding their safe place. Also, remember that if you are not in a good relationship with Sentinel Alliance better stay out of their snipers' vision, they might recognize you as a threat. QA round
We are running another QA run. And we wanted to tell about bugs that have the potential to become features. In short, there was a bug that allows you to take another player gun from his hands. As a bug, it was possible just by pressing the pick-up button. The bug was reported, however instead of just fixing it (currently it is fixed) a new task was created to create a mini-game between two players. The player who initiates the mini-game has a chance to be knocked and as a result, shot at a close distance, however, if he will win, he will take the other player gun. That is how bugs could become a potential feature, game development is full of surprises.
