Expending the healthcare... For weapons
We are continuing to work on weapon improvements, and in the future, we will make weapons rarer, more awesome, and more desirable. And if you want to be an alpha shooter, you will need to take care of your weapon. For this, we are adding repair tools for the weapon and changing the system how the weapon works when it is repaired, or broken.
Broken weapon
Another thing we wanted to share is how the weapon will work when it is not in good shape. Now the system will trace the weapon's condition and the weapon will behave itself accordingly. For example, if a weapon has 25% of its original durability it has 5% to be jammed. So be sure to take care of your weapon, in some cases it can save your life.

Weapon overhaul: SCAR
As we stated we will be working on visual upgrades of the weapons, we started work on SCAR, our previous version was not quite the right size and it wasn't really comfortable to shoot from. Work is still in progress so don't be very judgmental, we just wanted to show how is it going right now.
Round of fixes
As always after we add something we need to polish it. So we were busy fixing and polishing this week. We are glad to inform you that for now there are only minor bugs present in Lost Region, meaning that we can move on to new mechanics.
War in Ukraine
As usual, we will be updating you from our perspective of view. Because we've noticed there is a lot of propaganda from russian side. Of course, not all russians are affected by it and we are sure that all of the civilized world know what is going on and don't trust fake from pro-russian media. The good news is that we starting to slowly push the enemy from our cities. There are still cities that are under siege such as Mariupol we are trying to help them by sending arms and medicine, not all of the supplies are getting through though. But we are certain that democracy and a civilized World are much stronger than autocracy. We stand united. Glory to Ukraine!

New meshes
As always our 3D designers continue to work, despite recent events. This is a small update of doors, we are also reminding you that You will be able to close the doors, so hiding behind doors with windows will be not very effective.
Expending weapon pool
Previously we've added the first sniper rifle to the game, right now we are working on the rifle refactoring, after we are done we will be expanding the weapon pool, adding machine guns, SMGs etcetera. Also, it will affect the players leveling, since there will be more types of guns, there will be more perks and skills to level.
War in Ukraine
As always we are updating You regarding russian invasion, currently we still have some issues with work performance from those who live in Ukraine, but they continue to work. Also, the last news shows that russian military aggression is getting slower. So, in short, we hope that it will end soon, and Ukraine will rise and become free of russian aggression, and no county would have to deal with such a neighbor. Слава Україні, Героям Слава. Glory to Ukraine, Glory to Heroes.

Sniper rifle is finished
We've finished the sniper rifle and our 3D designer is now reworking the old rifles. We've selected the SCAR analog rifle, it will become more beautiful and as a result more comfortable to shoot from. Sniper rifle was needed to fill up the gap in terms of firearms, we had short-range middle-range and now we have long-range guns. So no we can remaster the old guns.
Level optimization
Since there were a lot of level updates it is time for optimizing, more interactions with surroundings, more options to find cover etc. And as there are more options there are more things to optimize as well, keep in mind that it will take more time as usual because we can't work at the same speed as before the war.
Update on war in Ukraine
I've started to write this post during alarm and managed to get to my PC only in the evening, so as we stated there might be some delays. Fortunately, we have people working with us worldwide so not all of our work aspects are affected. Also, we want to announce that we want to make the LR more patriotic, so we will place more things that are connected to our country. For those who support us, we want to say Thank you, your support is helpful and for Russian military forces in our homeland Russian military ship go f*ck yourself!

New weapons are coming
We finally started to work on one of the most important part of the game which is weapons. Currently, it is WIP (work in progress). The weapon is a sniper rifle for those who are skilled enough to take down their target from long-range.
Polishing and bug fixes
This week we were focused on bug fixes, we've already added a lot to the game and now we need to polish and fix everything that was broken due to the updates. It will take some time, but before we can continue to expand the mechanics we need to get rid of bugs.
Regarding war in Ukraine
As you may know, we are situated in Ukraine, and right now our country is fighting against the Russian invasion. First of all, we want to say that we hold no offense against Russian people, who are sitting at home, we understand that no one wants this war. But the situation may influence the development progress. We do have employees worldwide, so only some of the aspects would slow down, but we will continue to work until we can. It is a hard time for our country and our citizens, and we are standing united against invasion. We are avoiding any political stuff of course, but in this case, it is our freedom at stake. So for time being, there might be some delays in development, but we hope that it will end fast.

Electronics progress
As we stated before we are expanding the LR mechanics and that is including the cameras that will guard, usually something valuable, but before entering it is better to find the way to shut them down.
AI work in progress
We are making progress in upgrading the AI, as usual, we started with wolves, they will become smarter but at the same time more predictable and now if you have a slice of spare meat you can throw it away and wolves will likely change their target from you, who needs to be chased, to the free meat peace. But be worried it is not the ultimate solution.

This week our 3D designers were revisiting old levels to keep them up to date in terms of quality. For the release we want to update everything, so you will think that you are playing a completely new game.
Lights rework
Since we are revisiting old levels and adding new meshes we need to rework lights on these levels. Basically, we are re-cooking the lighting, it is more of technical work.

We are working on the railway system in LR. It means that players can restore the railway system, which in the future will allow them to travel to regions that are far beyond the currently active map area. We just started the work, so here are some meshes from our 3D designers.
UI and character health overhaul
We've planned to implement a new healthcare system a long time ago. And finally, we can work on it. This system will implement features of dealing with diseases and track what's up with your character. Right now we are processing the UI and functionality, then we will start to balance things so it will not be too overpowered or too hard for players.

We've been optimizing AI the past week. Since the world is getting bigger we need to optimize the AI not just in terms of quality but in terms of its execution as well. Basically, the goal is to get rid of spikes and make the AI smarter.
Lights work
We've been receiving reports that some of the areas are too dark to explore, even during the daytime. We are revisiting all the levels that were reported and those that might be too dark but haven't been reported yet. Also in some of the next updates, we will grant some additional tools to explore dark areas.
