Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles Release Date Trailer

Today we are announcing a whole lot of Lumote news!
Starting with a confirmation that Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles has a launch date confirmed of March 24th 2022! And what's more, the game will also be available on Google Stadia on DAY ONE! That's right, the Stadia community will be able to join us at the bottom of the Great Depths on launch!
We've just dropped a launch date trailer where Michelle Rocha from developer Luminawesome Games takes you on a tour of the depths themselves and introduces you to some of the motes you'll meet along the way!

Oh, and there's also the matter of BEING ABLE TO PLAY LUMOTE RIGHT NOW ON STEAM! Yup! You can take Lumote for a squishy test drive this very second on Steam and get a taste of what awaits you on March 24th! (Don't forget to wishlist once you have!)
But wait! That's not all!
We also have announced that there is a double vinyl featuring the work of award-winning composer Paul Ruskay! The vinyl takes listeners on a majestical electronica journey through the Great Depths. The stunning score communicates through music the key moments and emotional states of Lumote, deep and trance-like, the soundtrack is a monumental adventure from start to finish. Limited to 500 pressings, the Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles Double Vinyl, featuring meticulous illustrations from artist David Sossella, is available to pre-order now via the Wired Productions store for £35 / $45.

Introducing Lumote Illuminated!
We've been incredibly busy since we announced the brand new look and name for 'Lumote' back in December - and everything we shared with you back then still holds true!
New levels, content, and so much more (not least to mention Mastermote themselves) are all hopping along nicely, and we can't wait for you to see them!
But alongside making Lumote approximately 215% squishier (and by default, 400% cuter) we've also been working with our publisher (Hey Wired Productions o/) on something a bit special!
We'd like to introduce you to 'Lumote Illuminated' - a video series we've been making in the background as we go through development to better share with you things that go on behind the curtain when we make games from the mouths of the developers themselves!
Episode 1 takes us all the way back to when Lumote was simply a square in a game jam called 'Bump' , and how we created a team to turn them into the lovable mote you all adore today!

This is all part of a wider video platform launch from Wired themselves in the form of #WiredLive - a hub of content with the developers of their other upcoming indie titles, as well as wider industry focused content with people of note from voice actors to musicians, developers, CEO's and more!

Introducing Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles!
At the start of the year we partnered up with Wired Productions to provide support in releasing the early access version PC version of what was then, simply 'Lumote'.
Over the course of the year this has expanded beyond belief to not only finish Lumote in its original form, but also deliver additional story, an entire new extra game world, more challenges, collectibles, puzzles and more, and as such we've changed the name!
The game known as Lumote, is now Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles!

Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles sends players to the underwater-like neon world of The Great Depths filled with all sorts of shapes, colours and underwater inhabitants while exploring as the squishy hero, Lumote. Lumote must possess, jump, and think its way through a world of puzzles. To aid in the quest, Lumote’s ability to possess Motes will help reach areas not normally accessible. For every puzzle Lumote completes opening flower gates, it is one step closer to finding Mastermote!
You no doubt have a few questions, so let's answer a couple whilst we're here!
Q : Wait, I already own Lumote - do I have to buy it again?
A: Nope! If you are already a lucky owner of Lumote from its initial launch then you'll receive the Mastermote Chronicles as a free upgrade! And thank you for supporting us so far, it means a lot!
Q : What about me? I don't own Lumote yet!
A: Then good news, Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles is full on replacing 'Lumote' as we once knew it, when you buy the game you'll get everything, no piecemealing here!
Q : What's in The Mastermote Chronicles?
A: Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles expands on the critically acclaimed release delivering additional story, another game world and add a new level of challenges, puzzles and collectibles.
Q : Is there a release date yet?
A: Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles is going to be launching in 2022!

Q : I'd been hoping for a physical release, any news?
A: Yes! At the moment we only have confirmed physical release on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch!

– A Reversible sleeve, but who is on the other side we wonder?
– A Sticker sheet for you to bring that luminescent magic into the real world
– Lumote Crochet Pattern Download for you to build your own army of Lumotes.

Lumote Demo returns as part of Dreamhack Beyond
