Lunacid: Tears of the Moon is now available for free on Steam. It’s a Lunacid spin-off made with the Sword of Moonlight — a toolkit from 2000 used to create King’s Field like games that was released by FROMSOFT. After all, a lot of inspiration for the original Lunacid stems from my deep appreciation of Shadow Tower and King’s Field games.
Tears of the Moon is also a dark fantasy dungeon crawler — full of daunting foes, spells and weapons to obtain and, of course, secrets to discover. The game is very much worth trying out, if you never got to experience the KF series, or feel nostalgic about games of that era.
Naturally, a tool straight from the year 2000 is bound to have a fair share of limitations. However, I very much enjoyed challenging myself to be more creative within these constraints. And I hope, that you could appreciate both this passion and FROMSOFT’s legacy in Lunacid: Tears of the Moon.
Thank you for your support. Moonlight watch thee.

New Languages Added + Steam Winter Sale
Hello!
The localization update is finally here — now the blessings of the Moon can reach you in 10 new languages.
It definitely took me longer than anticipated — but in return I'm pretty sure the game doesn't mix up Royal and Royalty in other languages. I hope that if English isn’t your native language, these translations will show you the small details you might’ve otherwise missed. You can now venture into the Great Well with the following languages on hand:
Brazilian Portuguese
Chinese
Chinese traditional
German
Korean
Polish
Russian
Spanish
Spanish LATAM
Japanese
Nyan
And if your language is not on the list — let me know in the comments. I am open to adding even more popular languages. Also, if you find any localization issues, definitely point them out. So they could be fixed and we would have the best translations possible.
And, wow, it’s been more than two years since Lunacid launched into Early Access. It honestly feels like a lucid dream itself — to have come such a long way and to have so many of you enjoy the game. Thank you.
I wish that the upcoming year 2025 would be kind to you and your close ones. And, hey, if you like Lunacid, you might wanna keep an eye on its updates. Maybe follow the game on Steam, if you’d like. Because there is a big announcement waiting for you in 2025.
The story of Lunacid isn’t quite over just yet.
Moonlight watch thee.
Steam Trading Cards!
Hello!
Thanks to the guiding Moonlight, our prowess and a certain amount of luck — Steam Trading cards for Lunacid are finally available.
The idea with these was to tie each of the characters to a certain Major Arcana card, but the choices here aren’t exactly ‘canon’. So it’s best to treat them for what they are — a cool art piece expanding the game. Speaking of! Definitely check out the full versions of the cards, because the small portrait is just a preview.
Of course, Trading cards also mean profile backgrounds and emojis. We won’t spoil the surprise here, but the backgrounds were drawn exclusively for Trading Cards by the same artist as the cards themselves, and the emojis are done by Akuma Kira.
In other news, the localization update is also coming soon, as promised. Hopefully, this will give some of you extra motivation to revisit the game, if English isn’t your native language.

Moonlight watch thee.
