Madshot: Road To Madness Announcement!



Hey humans,

We have a juicy surprise for you.

As you know, we are constantly working on improving the Madshot experience. So far we have delivered bugfixing, optimization and balancing, and new content with the Sidearms Update and the Halloween Event and we are working on more updates to come soon but... something has happened (Gothic organ music plays in the background).

While testing some features in our alchemical lab we felt some dark energy condensing in the air. Before we could understand what happened we had put together a new game experience.



Say hello to Madshot: Road To Madness, an insane spin-off where you will slaughter, subdue and control endless hordes of enemies, get the highest score possible and climb the online leaderboards!



We want to reassure you that the release of Road To Madness will not interfere with the development of Madshot and that if you already own the game, you can access his spin-off Madshot: Road to Madness for free.

Madshot Halloween Update



Welcome back humans, we've got some news for you.

We are working on a big update that is just around the corner but - in the meantime - it’s time to celebrate the spookiest time of the year, so… you’re officially invited to join our first Halloween-themed event!



Jump in the Madshot’s madness again to experience:

  • A new ultimate ability: “Face of the hallow”
    Endless sticky bombs (thorny pumpkins).

  • A new rite: “Rite of the hallow”
    Destroy a certain number of pumpkins to receive 666 aether in rewards.

  • Halloween decor everywhere!

  • Meet the new Miniboss “The Scarecrow”
    A friendly pumpkin head scarecrow-ish.

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed Issue where events could spawn behind stairs.
- Fixed "Perfectionist" functionality.

Balance & Changes:
- Removed enemy waves sometimes spawning from a single point.

- Replaced "secret second floor rewards" with healing potion.
- Reduced "Warlock" enhancement increments from 5 to 1.
- Reduced "Coldhearted" enhancement increments from 5 to 3.

- "Bottomless Pockets":
Max level reduced to 2.
Each bullet has a flat 2 point damage reduction.
Increases reload time by 0.2 seconds.

- "Vital Draw" now draws in essence, health orbs & gold.

- "Strong Arm" now gives you throwables a crit chance instead of damage increase.

- "Throwing Knifes" cooldown increased from 1.5 - 2 seconds.

- Sword can no longer "reload".
- Fixed issue where "First round" effects would be triggered by relics (Ults).
- Fixed issue where you couldn't reload until the "boomerang blades" had returned.
- Fixed Issue where the "Regulator" (Charging rifle) could get stuck on reload.

Balance:
- Repear base damaged increased from 4 to 5.
- Fresh Batch effect now only triggers on a dry reload.

Optimizations:
- Optimized some sprites in the Alchemist "boss arena".

New Update: Sidearms & Synergies



Hi humans,

Our journey has just begun - and the abyss is deep - but your support has been incredible and continues to be instrumental. Thanks to your suggestions and feedback we have decided to make the following improvements and changes to Madshot:

Sidearms & Synergies



Sidearms:
  • Added a new sidearms room that spawns in the map.
  • Added 8 sidearms with unique functionalities designed to augment your other abilities.

Main Weapons:
  • We have reworked the guns to increase variety and encourage experimentation with the new synergies.

Input:
  • ”Drop action” is now "Pickup/Drop action" so you can still pick up objects when you have a sidearm equipped. Remember to use the custom key bindings to suit your playstyle.

Alterations: Paths & Synergies



Alterations are no longer lumped into one pool. Your early choices will unlock new options that compliment your build. Experiment with different starting choices and don’t underestimate what a few “Enhancements” (level-ups) can do.

We have reworked most alterations to encourage creative builds and synergies, as well as added some new ones to make specialized builds more viable.

Added:
  • Residue: Toxic foes spawn a gas Cloud on death.
  • Recycle: Dominated foes spawn a healing orb on death
  • Rust: First bullet after reload gains additional Toxic Damage
  • Mender: Dominated foes are restored to full health.
  • Pandemonium: Foes afflicted with dominate gain more damage for every other dominated foe.

Remade:
  • Most alterations have either had their functionality or numbers tweaked to better synergize with a wider array of builds and combinations.

Removed (Or replaced with store items):
  • Dark Coin
  • Midas Touch
  • Dark Touch
  • Dark Coin
  • Daze
  • Flatulence

Others changes



Relics:
  • ”Face of the Abyss” duration has been doubled, and you emit a “curse wave” every 2 seconds.
  • “Face of the void” now requires half the essence of the other ults.

Visuals:
  • Updated all the store Items' art.
  • Updated some old Icons and VFX.

Store:
  • Various changes to store items functionality and price.

Music:
  • New alternating track for zone 1-2.

**Warning**
Explosions now damage you as well. But don’t let that scare you off.

Balance:
- Increased "Obliterator" chance to trigger an explosion from 5% -20%.
