September 24th Game Update

SEP 24 2014 - Patch Notes



Hey Wizards! With your help, we've identified and fixed several issues. We're aware of and working on fixes for other reported bugs, and we're planning another update soon, but we wanted to get fixes out as they become available. Visit the steam discussion forums for an up-to-date dev log of things currently being fixed, and as always, we are open to any player feedback.

CRASH FIXES:

  • Fixed a crash caused by killing the final boss with laser spells
  • Fixed a rare crash causes by Spellblade of the Legion
  • Fixed a crash caused by targets in the tutorial


BUG FIXES:

  • Fixed an issue where the targets in the tutorial would not all be destroyed when explaining fire spells
  • Fixed an issue where connected controllers would rumble
  • Fixed several cases where some users didn't have sound
  • Desert Boss now cooperates with stealth robes


GAMEPLAY CHANGES:

  • Burning Vengeance now guarantees at least 25 fairy spawns in the forest, and takes place on the Bachelor's difficulty level.
  • If the player is affected by controlling effects (stun, fear) they are briefly immune to additional control effects
  • Long Live The Queen now allows up to 20 fairy kills


ENEMY BALANCE:

GENERAL:

  • Bulky enemies on Bachelor's Difficulty HP: 100 -> 75
  • Bulky enemies on Master's Difficulty HP: 200 -> 150
  • Normal enemies on Master's Difficulty HP: 150 -> 125

FOREST:
<*>Fairy Queen HP on all difficulties reduced roughly 33%
<*>Fairy Queen Fairy Spawn delay: 5 -> 6 seconds
<*>Fixed an issue where Fairy Queen's attacks were not functioning properly on higher difficulties
<*>Doctorate's Difficulty Forest Boss Core HP 24000 -> 20000
<*>Doctorate's Difficulty Forest Boss Legs HP 3000 -> 2000
<*>Doctorate's Difficulty Forest Boss Weapon HP 4000 -> 2000

DESERT:

  • Basket Snake miniboss HP -25%

CAVERN:

  • Cavern Zone enemies have had their HP reduced on difficulties 2-4.

TEMPLE:
<*>Reduced the HP on the snakes that spawn in trap rooms in the Temple Zone on higher difficulties
<*>Adjusted Flipper Beetle to reduce stunlock situations


MATERIAL BALANCE:

  • Necrom-nomicon robe effect base number of crows: 5 -> 3


LEVELS:

  • Adjusted some of the treasure rooms to display better on high resolutions
