Air bolt and deflect now requires more hand velocity to trigger.

Story Mode Update - Chapter 2 - Earth & Much More
Just in time for Christmas we have a huge update for you.
Story Update - Chapter 2 - Earth
The next chapter of story mode has been released, exploring the underground earth caves and dungeons under Ignis Isle and continuing the story.
We have 4 new new earth levels, with 20 shards and 24 lore pages to discover
Unlock all the earth spells in story mode and use them to further explore Ignis Isle
Ignis isle has been split with the islands now further apart, this gives us a big performance boost on Quest.
Fire blast can now be unlocked in chapter 1.
Fire spray and fire bomb have had their unlock positions changed
Your crashed airship can now be seen on the start beach and can be entered
The crashed airship will act as your home base
A simple store has been added to the home base
Collected Lore pages can be viewed in the home base
A completion screen has been added to the home base where you can see your total complement percentage of the current version of story mode
A storage locker has been added to home base to store items
The Tek bow can be purchased at the store and used in story mode
Player
A new Tek watch has been added to both hands, this will show health, mana, coins and active status effects.
Notifications now show up on the Tek watch, pressing the left Tek watch will open the notification on the pop up menu for more details.
A new grab vault has been added, grab onto a static object with two hands then pull yourself up to perfect a smooth and easy climb.
An element swapper has been added that will allow you to quickly swap between different elements.
Ability changes
We have a whole set of ability changes from balancing, to adding more details to spells to all new spells entirely.
Fire
Spray will now leave fire in the world you can make a fire wall
Fire in hand now grows hotter as you charge
Blast will provide a small amount of boos to the player
Air
New Spell - Deflect - new air spell that will defect low mass attacks like fire and air projectiles back at the caster
Air bolts now do slightly more damage
Air passive will now give more hover effect, equipping two air crystals will give double hover effect.
Air passive now has more jump increase
Earth
New spell - Fortify - Charge with two earth hands, this spell will encase you in earth armour providing resistance to all damage types. Fortify also increases player weight.
New Spell - Super Strength - equipping an earth crystal in a hand will give increased strength. Heavier objects can be lifted easier and held items can be thrown further.
Boulder grab and punch - using strength you can now grab your summoned boulders. Punching these while holding will give a boost, this can be done three times before the boulder breaks. Use this for a bit of mobility.
Charging and then casting earth shields will produce a shield with spikes with increased damage
Quake boost - Quake now much more reliably boosts the player if released under the player.
Quake can now be controlled up and down sloped surfaces.
Earth damages have been tweaked.
Arena
A new arena season has been added that includes Tek bots and more intense combat.
Score modifiers have been added and include - reduced player health, increased enemy health and increased enemy damage. These will give a score boost and can be stacked.
Element combos can be used in the arena, eg. fire in one hand and earth in the other.
Element swapper can be used in the arena so you can battle with all 4 elements simultaneously. This can be selected as a modifier.
Enemies
Earth Tek bots are now in the sandbox, story and arena.
Lv 1 earth tek bots are equip with earth gloves and will charge the player
Lv 2 is equip with a shield and will summon boulders
Lv 3 will summon boulder and walls
Lv 4 is an experimental giant enemy that can be summoned in the sandbox
UX / UI
Tutorial has been updated to now have a few more steps
Carl can now be seen in the tutorial and will follow you from step to step
New control screens have been added that better show which controller button needs to be pressed
The shard display in the quest log now shows collected fire and earth crystal shards. As well as having place holders for air and water shards.
Ancient Tek screens have been added to story mode.
Shard unlock door have been added, these are doors that need a certain number of shards to be unlocked.

Tek Bots
We have been working on our new class of enemy for a while now and we are super excited for you all to battle with our new enemy the Tek Bot. Our Tek Bots are fully physics run enemies, which means they react to all our physics spells and this opens up infinite ways to battle them. Before we get into the features let's go over the new damage system that was added. This better helps define abilities and their properties.
Damage Types
Heat- thermal damage that will heat an object Frost- thermal damage that will cool an object Kinetic- damage caused by a collision Slash- a sharp collision, this can slice Water- Wets things and does a little cooling Explosive- Destruction damage Shockwave - Deals damage and pushes
And now here is the feature list of what is included in this update
Tek bots
Fully physical enemies, push them over, trip them and send them flying with ragdoll goodness.
Three levels of fire tek bot, levels one, two and three
Higher level tek bots are larger and heavier and will react less to all abilities.
Low level tek bots can be picked up and thrown, heavier bots can be climbed and ridden.
Tek bot limbs can be sliced off with slashing abilities or blown off with explosive abilities.
Cutting off limbs can stop abilities from being cast
Beheading insta kills the enemy, this can be done with slashing and explosive abilities
As enemies are physically simulated they can be knocked over, this will cancel any attack they have underway.
Aiming at an enemies legs with powerful attack can trip up the enemy. Items like the ‘hook on a stick’ can also be used to trip enemies.
Higher level tek bots can have armour which will help protect against; limb slicing, decapitation and leg tripping. Although it is still possible to do these things.
Heating an object will cause it to slowly glow red
Once a hot enough temperature is reached the enemy will turn smoking, damaging itself slowly over time with a burn effect.
Frost and Water damage will cool heated object and can remove a smoking effect.
Smoking enemies will explode when they die.
Explosive, kinetic, shockwave and water damage abilities can push an enemy back with a force.
Killing an enemy with slash damage will result in a body split KO.
Freezing an object will cause it to slowly glow blue
Get a tekbot cold enough and it will freeze. Frozen enemies can be shattered with the lightest touch, killing them instantly.
Ice surfaces like those created by the Frost Spray will cause Tek Bots to slip.
Tek Bots can be wet with water abilities, wet enemies will freeze faster.
Water tentacles can be used to grab any part of a tekbot, smaller tek bots can be dragged around with this.
The water tentacle flick can be applied to tek bots causes them to go flying
Water tentacle and water whips can be used to trip tek bots if aimed at the enemies feet.
Kinetic attacks such as earth abilities are very powerful and have a good chance of knocking an enemy over.
Tek Bow
The tek bow can now be found in the sandbox, spawn it from the sandbox menu.
Tek Weapons are a new class of weapon that are empowered by the elemental crystal in your hand.
Changing your hand crystal will change the empowerment of the weapon.
The Tek bow has four empowerments, one for each element
Fire will create explosive arrows
Air will create fast moving gust arrows that can pass through multiple objects
Earth will create quake arrows that create small earth quakes when they hit the ground.
Water will create frost arrows that will freeze enemies
Water magic in the arena
Water magic is now accessible in the arena
Water scores will now show up on the arena leaderboard
UI Updates
New main menu in the tek screen style

Each ability has their damage types listed in the in game menu
A help page has been added to the in game menu to explain damage types

Water and Ice Magic Released!!
Get ready for a major update as water magic has just been released! Water magic will be a combination of water and ice abilities that focus on fluid attacks for water and precise sharp motions for ice. There are 10 new abilities to try and one passive; these can all be found in the sandbox.
NEW ABILITIES
The passive for water is Ice Walker which let's you walk/run faster on ice.
Splash - A water splash that will do light damage in a moderate area of attack.
Water whip - Summon a water whip that can be shot forward and returned to your hand. Very effectively at hitting enemies at long range.
Water tentacle - Summon a water tentacle, a powerful ability that can swipe, grab and throw enemies. Any part of the environment can be gripped with the tip of the tentacle, you can then swing or pull yourself up making it a great ability for exploring.
Water ball - A ball of water that can be manipulated and combined with other water sources to grow larger, doing moderate damage this ball can also be used defensively. Targeting the water ball will turn it into a powerful ice attack.
Ice shard - A sharp ice shard that can penetrate enemies and the environment. Ice shards can be collected once cast and used to scale walls to stab enemies with.
Ice shuriken - Fast summon an ice shuriken. Deals high frost damage but does require some skill to be accurate.
Frost - A frost spray that can freeze enemies and the environment. Freezing the ground will create a slippery surface that will give you a speed boost thanks to your passive.
Ice storm - A blast of ice shards that is super effective at close range.
Ice bomb - A very cold frost attack that will freeze everything around it.
Snap freeze - Target a wet enemy to freeze it instantly, you need to be close to the enemy to do this.
Other Changes
Frost damage is added to the damage system
Frost damage will appear blue on damage numbers
Water abilities now put out fire abilities
Water abilities can slow down incoming earth abilities
All water spells can wet enemies
Enemies can now be frozen with frost abilities and defrosted with heat abilities
Frozen enemies can be shattered with a physical attack
Enemies can be wet, wet enemies will be slower and can be frozen easier
Players now have more control when walking on ice
A crashed airship has been added to the story mode map (more on this later)

We still have much more we want to add to this magic class, next we will be looking at how water magic will interact in the open world. Some of the things we are experimenting are pulling water from the world to make waves and large pillars of water.

Earth Magic Update | 0.6.0.9
In this update we did a major rework on earth magic. We want earth users to feel heavy and powerful with slower moving, but hard hitting attacks.
Earth Magic
Improved sound effects on all earth spells
Particle improvements for most earth spells
A new smooth collision system was added for all heavy hitting earth attacks. Enemies now react with more realistic forces.
Earth charge now requires the hand to be facing the ground to charge earth.
There are 2 distinct earth charge states, lv1 and lv2 . These are identified by particle changes, audio cues and haptics.
New earth charge particles have been added to the ground that show when charge is active.
Earth gauntlets have been reworked, by releasing trigger but still holding grip the gauntlet will shoot forwards. Pressing the trigger again will have the gauntlet return to the hand.
Earth gauntlets now have new particles to support this new mechanic.
Earth boulder has been updated to now have three distinct sizes of boulder. Small, medium and large. Small boulders require no charge and can be fired quickly, medium boulders require level 1 charge and are heavier but do much more damage. Lv2 boulders are very heavy and tough, they will kill most enemies they hit but are hard to control.
Earth wall has had some reworks, the gesture has been changed from an uppercut to palm facing down, then pulling upwards motion. See the in game menu for a video on how to cast this.
Earth walls are now physical objects and can be pushed over and manipulated.
Earth walls can be gripped and punched to travel faster across flat ground.
Earth gauntlet and shield now have more health
Earth gauntlet and shield now no longer react to power punch while in the player hand. This fixes a lot of bugs that sent the player flying.
Quake now no longer pushes objects while travelling along the ground, this allows it to better get under objects.
Quake spikes now have improved hit detection and now deal damage more consistently.
