Mass Exodus Online Multiplayer / Remote Play

We are pleased to announce that Mass Exodus is fully compatible with Steam Remote Play. Having the ability to play the game online in the current circumstances is a real plus, we hope you enjoy!

Setting up a Remote Play game is simple. Whoever hosts has to be the seeker (VR) and they can invite up to 4 PC players. The only restriction is 1 of these players can use a keyboard and mouse, the others need to be on game controllers.

As Steam said “Launch the game, invite friends and BOOM you’re playing together”

Enlight of this we will not be developing an online multiplayer version of Mass Exodus at the moment.

Let us know how you get on with Remote Play, we have found it really stable.

Visuals


  • Added a sphere to improve the accuracy of grabbing androids
  • Adjusted idle, walking and running animations, and made them consistent with AI


Gameplay and Bug Fixes


  • Added "invert Y-axis" options for each player
  • Grabbing androids is now only possible inside the accuracy sphere
  • PC Players will no longer spawn directly in front of a control panel in certain areas
  • It's now easier to turn off control panels
  • Reduced the default AI count in Assembly Line to 100 (from 150)

  • Added Index controller support (and textures)
  • Added extra padding to certain display panels.
  • Powerups now display their duration on the UI correctly.
  • Added a prompt of when the furnace door needs closing.


Gameplay and Bug Fixes


  • Fixed an issue where the player could walk over certain barriers
  • Fixed an issue where hovering over the player was still showing the highlighted material whilst the player was invisible.
  • Fixed an issue with the seeker head death sequence
  • Fixed an issue where the PC player would store reset points whilst still being held by the seeker
  • Increased player walk speed by 10% and decreased the AI Speed by 25% (The player now walks at the same speed as the AI)

Mass Exodus Redux v2.0

It’s been a long time coming, but we are excited to announce that Mass Exodus Redux is now live!

This is the biggest update to the game ever, completely rebuilt from the ground up, including new features, bug fixes, a new map and all-new visuals.

Optimizations


  • Brand new render pipeline for better visuals and faster calculations.
  • Many back-end improvements to vastly improve performance in all areas.
  • All game-logic re-programmed from the ground up, to improve game flow and use more efficient techniques.



Bug Fixes


  • Everything has been re-programmed and re-built from the ground up meaning old bugs and performance problems are now non-existent. We have extensively tested our end for any remaining issues we have identified, although there may still be a few things that we plan to quickly resolve. Let us know if you find anything!

Hey everyone.

We've fixed a few more pesky bugs, hopefully the factory is clean for now...

  • Fixed issue where the overlord is not able to pickup another robot, when killed without releasing the trigger
  • Fixed issue where sometimes when dropped, AI and player robots would be stuck in their falling animation
  • Fixed issue where split-screen would incorrectly adjust cameras in certain situations

It's been a while...

Hey everyone.

We've been crazily busy here at Polymerse on some huge projects (which you can see if you follow us on Facebook!) which has meant we haven't had time to visit the Mass Exodus factory as often as we'd like.

We're happy to announce we're gonna be full steam ahead sorting out some issues that have been pointed out by the community and even some quality of life features for the game.

Thanks for staying with us while we've been clocked out, but we're back to work the emergency shift.

Mass Exodus v1.2.3 Patch Notes

Hey everyone.

We’ve been going through the forums and collecting a list of bugs, here’s the fixes for them today!

Fixed!




  • The rogue will now teleport back to orginal location when dropped, similar to androids
  • Androids will no longer play their falling animation on loop when dropped
  • The Seeker can now correctly pick up androids after using the furnace
  • The game will no longer loop back to the main menu when starting a new game
  • The seeker can now pick up players when playing with more than one rogue on the Boiler Room
  • Fixed an issue where the game would crash on pausing

Achievement Unlocked ! Mass Exodus Patch 1.2.2

Achievement's are finally in the game, and ready to be unlocked!

Along with a couple of fixes for some issues we found!

  • 22 Achievements are now unlockable!
  • Crystals have been spotted in the factory...


Fixed!


  • Replaced a crate that was invisible on The Boiler Room
  • Fixed and issue where the player would spawn in the same place every round

Mass Exodus v1.2.1 Patch Notes

Quick update patch to sort some issues people had!

Fixed!!


  • Fixed an issue where the Core and Boiler Room ran at lower FPS
  • Vibration on scanner should be re-enabled (however it needs to be closer to start vibrating)
  • Adjusted graphical settings
  • Increased overall performance for Oculus users

Freebies and fixes!

Hey everyone!

We understand there's still some issues with the main branch of the game, we're currently working on performance and some other little things. These will get updated as soon as we're happy with them.

We do ask that you make sure you've tried running the game on lower settings before posting that it about performance issues, and if you do, give us your specs headset type and OS.

As a big apology and a thank you to everyone, we're going to upgrade everyone who has the PC only client to the full version of the game for free! This way you won't have to pay to upgrade when you get a VR headset.
