Calendar Contest Update

Hi everyone!

The calendar competition ended last week, and we would like to thank you for all the entries!

We received hundreds of gorgeous screenshots from you! Beautiful landscapes and village customs and morals. Funny pictures and thoughtful images. Compositions one can feel the effort you have put into your villages.

The jury is currently voting on more than 70 of these.

We're keeping our fingers crossed for all the entries!

Der Kalender-Wettbewerb - Update!

Hello!

A quick update on the calendar contest!

1. We are extending the deadline for submitting screenshots by two more days, so the contest will end on 8 June 2022 at 23:59 CET.

2. We have received some wonderful pictures, but the HUD is in the image. Here's a hint: You can turn off the HUD with the keyboard shortcut "H".

3. You can save uncompressed images on Steam. To do this, select the "Steam" tab in the Steam client, then "Settings", then "In game" and tick "Save uncompressed copy". For this copy you should choose a separate folder because the screenshot will be saved two times.

4. You are invited to submit smaller image formats than the desired 4k. It is primarily about the pixel density, the resolution is important, but not everything. If necessary, a screenshot can be scaled up to 300 dpi in an image editor for printing.

Otherwise, all remains the same as before!

Medieval Dynasty Calendar Contest

Hello everyone!

It has been a while since we last held a contest, hasn’t it?

Well, we have another one for you today.

What it is about, you ask?

Last year you absolutely floored us by sending us more than 1000 screenshots! Each category was filled to the brim with the most amazing images showing off the game, your creativity, and your personal experiences.

Since then, the game has changed considerably, offering many more opportunities for passionate screensnipers and dedicated decorators.

So, we thought, let’s collect screenshots once again and this time turn them into something extra special. Something to remember those experiences by, something to celebrate that creativity and something that everybody has use for. Our plan? For 2023 we will be making our own Medieval Dynasty calendar. A calendar featuring the best in-game impressions throughout the seasons!

The calendar will be available later this year in physical as well as in digital form.

What is in it for you? Fame! Your name and your screenshot will be irrevocably linked to the first official Medieval Dynasty calendar ever. Also, you’ll get a copy of Sengoku Dynasty (Steam key) once it is coming to Early Access. And of course, a physical copy of the calendar (if participating from the EU) or a file for print.

So how to participate?

Send us up to four screenshots, one screenshot for a single season or four with a full circle of seasons. Only your own works. Resolution (here begins the challenge): at least 300 ppi, that means a 4k or higher resolution. (300ppi with 426 x 303mm which means 5031 x 3579 Pixels).

The top and bottom of your screenshot should not contain anything important like eyecatchers etc.

Send the files via a filelink/filehoster and via e-mail to this address:

community@toplitz-productions.com

The closing date is June 6, 2022, 23:59 CET.

Any questions? Shoot below!

The mysterious message gets revealed!

Hello everyone!

We have some good news to share with you! The scoundrels who took the notes from the village have been captured at the edge of the valley! They paid their fine, but let's turn our attention to the most important thing: the contents of the notes!

We break the seal!

We unroll the parchment.

Are you curious too?

We read the royal instructions.

They're hard to read.

Oops, the scroll was upside down.

Now, the right way round.

It says:

*Deep breath*

Co-op!

Get your best mead and the juiciest roast. Put on your finest clothes, gather at the tavern, and spread festive mood in the valley! Of course, we will reveal the details of the game mode as time goes on.
Also, do tell us who you'll be playing with? Post it here and on the social media channels!

Stay tuned!

Hotfix to v1.3.0.5.

Hi everyone!

We have a second hotfix, bringing those changes to the game:

ADDED

  • Reverb to hoe sounds.
  • New ambient sound for nightly forest.

FIXED

  • An issue when the heir turns into a normal NPC (he has no reference to the player as his father).
  • An issue when Alwin is in the wrong place after loading the save (quests Alwin VI-VIII).
  • An issue when Alwin goes somewhere in quests Alwin VI-VIII.
  • Fix for two bugs on Alwin's quest (Alwin VII and Alwin VIII where Alwin give you a challenge for coins). If player has any of those quests active, it will reset on loading the game into initial state to fix any issues. This will only happen to save games before the current 1.3.0.4 version.
  • Schemes for rugs and trophies are not in technology.
  • If the player reached the save file limit for a platform and tried to overwrite a save, he couldn't do so without removing one save first.
  • When overwriting a save the old save file wasn't properly removed.
  • Overwriting an existing save without changing the name could cause it to disappear.
  • Problem with ambient sounds - unnecessary sounds have been purged.
  • Disappearing hoe sounds.

UPDATED

  • Reworked models of the Goose House building modules.
  • Numerous tweaks and improvements to the terrain.
  • Rendering optimisations.
  • NPC navigation optimization.

Hotfix to v1.3.0.3.

Hello everyone!

We have a small hotfix for you bringing those changes:

ADDED

  • In the gameplay settings players can now choose which gamepad icons they want to use. (Xbox/PS4/PS5)

FIXED

  • One of the destroyed house modules has an incorrect collision.

UPDATED

  • Reworked models of the Fold building modules.
  • Miners in a mine don't go to a slot, where someone is standing.
  • Input icons for Xbox controller.

A mysterious message!

Hello village elders!

The King's Herald has delivered a new message to the valley. When he handed it over, he seemed pleased and delighted. There might be something important in it. But unfortunately, some sheets were stolen by bandits shortly afterwards and since then the news is mostly gone. The part they left behind we gladly share with you:

Shame on the villains, but the hunters have swarmed out to recover the full notes. Now we must wait for their return. It might take a few days. We hope you'll be patient?!

But feel free to ponder what might have gone missing. Post it here in the comments, or on the social media channels.

Here we go!

The Render Cube and Toplitz Productions teams

PS: We will host a chat with the team chat tonight (April 14th, 2022) from 7 pm - midnight CEST.

The Eagle has landed!

Hello village elders!

As you know, you live here in a peaceful valley far off from the hustle and bustle, and most of the time it's quiet out in the great wide open. Too quiet?

We went out and gathered a few animals to add to the background noise. We found quacking ducks, screeching sea eagles, hawks, and falcons. Along with mysterious cooing pigeons, they will provide the soundtrack of the world with their tunes from now on.

[previewyoutube="vuAXfEhJzDQ;full"]

Some of the fauna, too, will now be able to contribute more than before. Hunters, listen up: You may now decorate your cosy home with hunting trophies! If you're going to bring a big sixteen-pointer, then you should show it off in your living room!

Tell us what you love about the update. Tell us in the comments or drop us a line on our social media channels!

Good hunting!
