HELLO AGAIN! LET'S KEEP UPDATING THE GAME! + NEW UPDATE 14



Hi everyone. Honestly there is not much I can say about what happened during these months. I feel very embarrassed for not updating or giving a statement, I'm very sorry. But in summary, I have burned a lot with this project and I needed to take some time away from it. Now I want to continue updating it again!

But this time, so that the same thing does not happen to me again, I will make updates less often but bigger. And I will work on other projects to not get tired of this game, as I did with Himno. That said, let's see what brings this update.

During this time, I focused on finishing the interior house build system which was a headache but it's finally here. This announcement is the start of a new Alpha Release: Expanding Frontiers. With this coming updates I will be focused on new places and lands to explore along with other cool things.

Let's see what this build contains:

    NEW CONTENT
  • Instead of 4 Save slots, now there is only 1. This solves many save problems, not all. I have to continue testing but if you find any bug,
    do not hesitate to post it in "Discussions".
  • New interior house build system, to decorate your house with furniture and more cool things!
    (When you're inside your house, just press "2" and then hit the "Tab" to open the Build Menu)
  • For now, new furniture items can be unlocked only by talking with customers. In the next update,
    the architect will be the one who gives you new blueprints. (46 items in total, more upcoming!)
  • House Interior upgrades, buy them and increase your house size (3 in total for now).
  • Main menu options panel is removed, now the options can only be accessed within the game.
  • Improved tutorial.



    BUG FIXES
  • Placing an item in a non-player store won't destroy the item and no longer will crash the game.
  • Some performance improvements when you start or load a game.
  • Minor fixes.

IMPORTANT UPDATE + SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT



Hello everyone! As you have seen during these days, I have not updated the game. This is due to several things:

  • Right now I'm programming internal systems which I can not stop halfway to upload an update every Friday, because it would give error.
  • I had some vacations in my town since there were festivities and I haven't had real vacations since years.
  • Also, I am working on upgrading and customizing the house interior, with cool upgrades and furniture blueprints to unlock.

During this time, I have been thinking several things such as uploading an update every 2 weeks instead of 1. It does not give me physical time to program a complex system in a week without errors and also have some life apart from doing this project.

As you know, I am working alone on this big project and it will take me some time to complete it. That's why in my free time, I'm always doing other small projects to distract myself from this game, because being 24/7 just burns me.

I'm going to make a special announcement. Some time ago, when I was having a hard time in my life, I made a little relaxing game to forget myself and think more clearly. As I liked it so much, I decided to share it with the community for free. It's called Himno.



It will be released in a month or so totally free.

I think I have nothing left to explain/say. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to leave a comment or start a discussion. There will be an update with new content next week.

FRIDAY BUILD 13



Hello! During these 2 weeks, I had some troubles in home and couldn't stay too much on the pc. In this time, I focused on some new usable items for farm plots, and several bugs fixes.

Let's see what this build contains:

    NEW CONTENT
  • Now you can buy farm plots from the farmer too. More options in the future.
  • 2 New usable items to use in farming plots.
  • In total 4 items more.

    BUG FIXES
  • Creating farm items will progress correctly now.
  • An incredible optimization in the animals that go around the world, now no longer generate remains when moving which after a few hours of play, could be
    affected the performance and later on crashing (Almost 2 weeks of work to discover this bug and fix it LOL).

FRIDAY BUILD 12



Hello! First of all, I am sorry for being 1 day late, but I was finishing the build before uploading with no errors! During this week I focused on some new items and recipes of seeds, some internal coding, along with more bug fixes.

Let's see what this build contains:

    NEW CONTENT
  • Added 7 more seeds.
  • Scaled item list up to 500 items.
  • Info/help page now working (more tips and categories soon!).
  • Increased loading efficiency.

    BUG FIXES
  • Fixed garden plants hitbox when picking up.
  • Fixed item duplication glitch.
  • Fixed stall chest bug. Now you can't close the panel until you finish taking out the items.
  • Deleted weird collision when getting close to stalls.


I highly recommend you to start a new game and don't load an earlier version since I recoded some things in the save system.

Hello, I am afraid that this Friday there won't be a build since it is not currently stable. What I have done so far is fixing some bug you commented in the forums and implementing the new help page of the Merchant Book. Having said this, for next week you will have a lot of new content :)

FRIDAY BUILD 10



Hello everyone! We are on Friday which means new build update! During this week, I focused on new content to buy and do, along with some world optimization.

Let's see what this build contains:

    NEW CONTENT
  • New Farm system (Place dirt, some seeds, water and let those plants grow!)
  • New Farm Plots (Right now, you can buy them pressing 'E' and start using them. But I will add some interaction with the farmer near the zone, like talking to him and renting or buying plots).
  • Forest area replaced with a little farm (the cave entrance will be removed too and moved to another place).
  • More seeds coming soon!



    BUG FIXES
  • Optimization of flowers and plants (Removed hided plants and flowers).

FRIDAY BUILD 9



Hello! We are on Friday which means new build update. In this week I have only been able to work 1 day and a half, so not much progress was done. I would have liked to bring more features but was impossible just because of time.

Below I leave you what I've been working on this morning. These features will be in the next update.

  • More fishes. They will be implemented along with the new Contracts/Orders system.

    (tell me if you want to see more images of items I am working on :D)

  • Info/Help page for the MB. Here there will be more information and some mini tutorials for things. Since the tutorial is still vague, this will help a lot to learn specific things. Here is how it will look:

    (Left page shows lists of topics, and right page will show the texts and images. More topics will be implemented with updates.)


For this build, there is only 1 bug fix:

    BUG FIXES
  • Last customer won't no longer leave when the trade is done correctly.

Hello! We are on Friday which means new build update! Sorry for not updating the game during these weeks, but I have been busy and couldn't even stay at the pc. During this week I focused on NPC Stalls, new types of customers/shops, along with more bug fixes.

Let's see what this build contains:

    NEW CONTENT
  • Other shops now display selling items (items popularity affect sales and prices).
  • Peasants can buy items to other shopkeepers.
  • New Farm Work-Kit (only 3 craftable items, no use right now. Just for testing).
  • New types of customers with their own sprites.
  • New player shop types (Random, farm, recipes and work-kits).
  • Now you can enable/disable farland merchants and beggars to come for your shop.
  • Item pickup ranged increased.

    BUG FIXES
  • Renaming stalls pressing "T" key won't close the MB.
  • Some tutorial steps fixed (disable the order button until the player has added all three items or at least notify that user that they can add multiple items to the same order).
  • Some fixes in the farland merchant panel.
  • Removed some strange collisions in front of player stalls.
  • Fixed stall notification button.

Hello and sorry for the delay

As you may have noticed I have not updated the game in 2-3 weeks. This has been due to my work and helping my family and sleeping 4-5 hours a day does not help either. But do not worry, I love videogames and the industry too much to abandon my first project.

Also I apologize for not warning on social networks or the even through steam, but I have not been home during these days and rarely have I turned on the pc. Little transparency on my part, I know, but I'm not very good at speaking in public and being constant in this aspect. Think I am working alone, from network interactions to developing the game.

Next week you will have a new update for the game. There are coming very cool things for mss and hope you will stay with me to see those ^-^

Hello! We are on Friday which means new build update! During this week I focused on UI elements and item popularity.

Let's see what this build contains:

    NEW CONTENT
  • Tooltips for merchant inventory and reworked all the UI Panel (Coming soon the normal customer UI).
  • Item Popularity (depending on the popularity of an item in a determined zone/city, the selling price will decrease, normal or increase. This will be a really cool feature when more cities are implemented! Popularity increases when an item isn't sold by you (in the future by other merchants too) and will decrease when you sold lots of that item).



  • UI improvements (mainly in Merchant Book).
  • Farland merchants will trade gear and staffs recipes.
  • Recipes already learned will show an alert in your inventory tab (Some of you asked this feature!).

    BUG FIXES
  • You can no longer order 0 items.
  • Can't go inside water (now also rivers).
  • Some minor bugs.


I want to keep focusing on dynamic gameplay and economy since it was a bit plain last builds.
