We’re incredibly excited to bring all these new voices to Metal: Hellsinger, and we hope you’ll all either find something you know and love or discover something new.
Please keep in mind that due to the songs being licensed and not original, we do not have the same freedoms. What that means is, firstly, music from the Essential Hits pack are not except from DMCA strikes, so be careful when streaming!
Secondly, the Song Layering feature is turned off on these songs, since this feature would require significant edits to the music itself.
Update 1.7
We’ve also just pushed out a free update today, bringing bug fixes, balancing, and the addition of Nvidia Reflex. This new feature can be switched on in the options if you have a card that supports it, and aims to reduce latency. The full patch notes are available below.
With this update, we’re also wiping the slate clean on the leaderboard. It’s time to show who is the leanest, meanest demon-slaying badass out there.

Added Nvidia Reflex! You can enable this on PC if you have an Nvidia GPU.
It will skip frames in favor of optimized rendering delay.
New DLC pack! "Essential Hits Pack"
For the first time you can now explore Hell together with your favorite licensed song!
These are chosen from Song Selector as the other tracks and can be played at any level of your choice, including Boss encounters! Which song will bring you to the top of the leaderboard?
Note for streamers: Contrary to the original songs in the game, the songs included with this pack are not DMCA-friendly and may trigger content warnings when streaming the game!
Bug fixes
Fixed a Codex issue where the Vulcan and Hellcrow weapons were showing up as locked and could not be unlocked.
Any character skins equipped are now visible in the Main menu when starting the game. Previously, you had to visit the loadout at least once for it to appear in the Main menu.
Other changes
The leaderboards have been reset for this new update. Go forth and slay your way up to the top, Hellsinger.
Metal: Hellsinger Opens The Gates of Hell to Chart-Topping Hit Songs!

Music from beyond the Hells is coming! Are you ready to slay to its beat?
On June 13, The Essential Hits pack arrives, bringing eight hit songs from some of the biggest bands in the world. For the first time, you can slay demons to music from beyond the realms of metal. The mosh pit welcomes all!
The team is so excited to bring you this pack of music from bands we groove to when our necks need a little rest. Okay, you can still definitely headbang to all of these, but you catch our drift. The song titles and bands will be revealed at launch, but you may be able to catch some hints on our social media channels in the days preceding it.
These eight songs will paint the Hells in a whole new light! These iconic songs come from a variety of bands and genres. Before entering a stage, simply go into the Song Selector and choose the beat you'll slay to. Thanks to our recent update, you can also select any of the original score songs here.
Keep in mind that due to the nature of this licensed music, the Song Layering feature will be turned off when playing with these songs.
Hell prepares for Update 1.7
Riding shotgun with the Essential Hits Pack is Update 1.7. In this free update, we're ensuring the Hells are up to code, fires flaming, demons jostling, metal pounding. In other words, we're adding a bunch of bug fixes and balance improvements. The full change list will arrive at launch.
We're also adding a Nvidia Reflex, an option you can enable in the graphics menu if your card supports it. This feature exists to reduce system latency. It can be set to On, Off, or On + Boost. On + Boost will disable any power-saving features for the GPU, potentially reducing latency further.
When update 1.7 launches, we're wiping the slate clean on the leaderboards, so sharpen your horns and load your weapon because the fight will begin again - a new demon will stand at the top of the pile, music roaring in their veins.

We’ve just released a small update that makes it easier to browse DLC content directly in-game. From now on, DLC content like songs, weapons, and skins will be clearly indicated.
A full list of all available DLC can be accessed directly from the game’s start menu.
Any future DLCs (hint! hint!) will also appear on this in-game list so you can easily see what’s available without having to search elsewhere.

It's been an incredible year so far, with multiple awards and nominations, and recently, our first DLC - Dream of the Beast. In it, you can find two new bangers performed by Cristina Scabbia and Will Ramos, alongside a new weapon and three powerful outfits.

As you can imagine, we have a lot of plans for the future, and although we pick up a lot of your feedback in various places, a survey like this lets us understand your opinion on particular topics.

The Dream of the Beast DLC has arrived with new music, a weapon, and powerful outfits!
Headbang without restraint to two brand-new original songs composed by Two Feathers and performed by Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil) and Will Ramos (Lorna Shore). With today’s free update you’ll also be able to choose any song on every level, opening up a new world of variety.
Deadly Instruments
Discover a weapon forged from heaven and hell and annihilate demons in quick triple bursts that lead into a tremolo of death. Unleash The Red Right Hand’s ultimate and watch as Hell bends before your wrath.
Sizzling Drip
As the deadliest metronome in all the Hells, make sure to show up in your hottest threads. Angel Eyes increases your max ammo with each successful quick reload, while Morning Star and Dark Devotee gives a slow heal and a one-time shield, respectively, when picking up a fury boost.

The Free Song Selector Update is Live!

Get your affairs in order ‘cause Hell’s about to swallow you up and then regret it. We’ve just pushed out a free update to accompany today’s release of the Dream of the Beast paid DLC!
Song Selector
In this update, we’ve added the brand-new Song Selector feature, letting you pick any song you’ve unlocked before entering a level. You can even select the boss track separately. As they say, variety is the spice of the afterlife.
Modding Improvements
We’ve added improvements to modding too, such as the ability to replace sound effects with whatever you can think of, and a better error report that gives more details if anything goes wrong.
Balancing, Bugs, and Quality of Life
We’ve destroyed a whole bunch of bugs in this patch, and added a few quality of life improvements too, such as being able to choose whether the game pauses automatically when you tab out. You’ll also find some general balancing of enemies, weapons, and more.
You can pick up the new DLC right now and experience the demonic powerhouses that are Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil) and Will Ramos (Lorna Shore), while punching countless holes through enemies with the new Red Right Hand quad-barrel machine gun.
Additionally, the paid DLC brings three unique Outfits that come with alternative modifiers, such as a heal, a shield, or more max ammo, replacing the Unknown’s default bonus (the default Unknown Outfit builds faster ultimate while at 16x fury).

We’re honored to announce that Metal: Hellsinger has been nominated for a BAFTA award in the Audio Achievement category.
As always, we simply must mention Two Feather’s enormous contribution in composing the original score for all the incredible vocalists to perform.
Elvira Björkman and Nicklas Hjertberg have not only created an amazing score, but also collaborated with the development team to create music that unfolds and reacts to your performance in the game in a smooth and satisfying way.
The BAFTA award for Audio Achievement will be announced on March 30.

Two New Songs!
Get ready to ride through hell on bullets and vengeance with two brand-new songs performed by the demon voices of Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil and Will Ramos from Lorna Shore. As with the rest of the soundtrack, both new tunes are composed by Two Feathers.
Coming in a free update on the same day as the paid DLC, the Song Selector Feature will allow you to choose any song you want before each level, giving it a totally new flow. We’ll share more about the free update later.
A New Weapon – The Red Right Hand!
Discover a new groove to slay to with The Red Right Hand, a new machine gun-like weapon forged and fused from parts of heaven and hell. Dispatch demons in short powerful bursts that vary in length.
Sizzling Outfits!
Not done yet, Dream of the Beast also adds three outfits for the Unknown to rock, giving unique gameplay modifiers, such as successful quick reloads increasing the weapon’s max ammo.
Equipping one of these new outfits will replace the passive effect that comes with the default Unknown Outfit – building your ultimate faster at 16x fury.
March 29 can’t come soon enough! Prepare your ears for fire as you take over the Hells with Cristina Scabbia and Will Ramos.
