[NEW] Chip



  • Deteriorating: Poison damage increased by 1 point for each 1% reduction in enemy health.
  • Biochemical Shield: Shield can withstand poison damage.
  • Vicious: The poison effect deals 3 times damage to enemies with less than 30% health.
  • Elemental Barrier: You take 90% less physical damage when poisoned.
  • Horizontal Transmission: Poisons a random enemy in the room when vitality restored.
  • Plaguebringer: Poisons all enemies in the room when poisoned.
  • Toxin Conversion: when poisoned, restores 1 vitality per second.
  • Malicious Perception: Every poisoned enemy in the room increases your damage by 2.

  • Toxin detonator: Detonate the poisoned enemies in the room and remove the poison from them.


Weapon



  • Venom Blade - The weapon skill-venom nova now poisons you and other player in the area.


[NEW] Keyboard & Mouse Control Mode



  • Games default to Gamepad or Keyboard mode, you can select the Keyboard & Mouse mode in the Settings.
  • Key Binding - the keyboard & mouse mode of the item shortcut key for F, bomb shortcut key for Q, you can customize the key in the Settings.
  • Assisted aiming still works in key - mouse mode, You can select on or off in Settings.


[NEW] Ranged Weapon Adjustment



  • The Ranged weapon has the design of magazine capacity. The keyboard of manual reload is: RB-Controller / R-Keyboard. When the magazine is finished, automatic reload will be triggered.
  • The Ranged weapon will now recover 3 bullets every 2 seconds after not attacking for 1.5 seconds.

Update Note v0.24.0

[NEW]

  • Enemy location tooltip - If you don't have an enemy on the screen during a battle, it will display the enemy location tooltip on the edge of the screen after 5 seconds.
  • Two new types of hidden rooms have been added - cassette chest room and chip chest room.
  • Quick Restart - Multiplayer: When you return to the hall after the multiplaye game, you will return to the lobby UI, which is convenient for players to quickly regroup.

Adjustment

  • BOSS - High Castle Witch: snowball speed reduced by 20% and destroys ice cones on the ground.

Control Mode

  • [New] You can now hold the attack button for continuous attacks.
  • [New] Aim assist: [Default setting: On] this option will do a slight aim assist when there are enemies or destructible objects in the direction where the ranged weapon is pointing. The target with the closes tangle to the pointing direction is preferred.


Content optimization and bug fixes

  • Now all weapon skills are not interrupted by enemy attacks;
  • Increased the range and scattering range of Shotguns and Old Shotguns;
  • The ghost skills have more obvious animations, and the original CD is cancelled;
  • In multiplayer games, weapons/items can't be recycled within five seconds after being discarded or changed hands;

Weapon adjustments

  • Attack of heavy melee weapons (gloves, chainsaws, hammers) are now uninterruptable;
  • The attack point of Heavy weapons reduced from 0.43 seconds to 0.2 seconds;
  • The attack point of Chainsaw-like weapons reduced from 0.43 seconds to 0.2 seconds;
  • The attack point of Drone-like weapons reduced from 0.5 seconds to 0.34 seconds;

General balance adjastements

  • The player's invulnerability time after getting hit extended from 0.25 seconds to 0.45 seconds;
  • Bonus damage of Bombs from Zoe's second talent increased from 1 point per Chip to 4 points per Chip;
  • Increased the chance to find better items in the hidden room;
  • The traps will stop working once the room is cleared of enemies;
  • Adjusted the color of the projectiles causing the dazed effect;
  • Enemy - When the Tiny Spider dies, the explosion now has more obvious movements;
  • Enemy - Roger the Reaper's injury time is extended from 0.6 seconds to 1.2 seconds;
  • Enemy - Turbine's injury time is extended from 0.5 seconds to 1 second;
  • Optimized FX of the shield casted by Pope;
  • Adjusted targeting logic of enemies with throwing particles;
  • Adjusted the animation and FX of the Punisher and Spiky Mich Pig making them more obvious;

  • Adjusted the triggering mechanism of the Abyss Mimi's whirlwind state from being triggered after losing 120 health in 3 seconds to being triggered after losing 10% health within 3 seconds;
  • BOSS - The attack point of The Cirrus Submarine's tentacles extended from 1.2 seconds to 1.5 seconds with a more obvious casting animation;
  • BOSS – The Cirrus Submarine now has a more obvious fatigued animation;
  • BOSS - The casting point of The Waste Disposer’s projectiles increased from 1.2 seconds to 1.5 seconds;
  • BOSS - The Waste Disposer's firing attack now has an 11 seconds cooldown. Reduced the firing rate and the range of the said attack;
  • BOSS - The triggering mechanism of The Auditor's escape after getting injured is changed from being triggered after losing 200 health in 2.5 seconds to being triggered after losing 8% health in 2.5 seconds.

0.21.0 Update Notes

Updates:
- [Multiplayer] On-stage Gold pickups are now shared between players, gold gained from recycling is not;
- [Multiplayer] Defeating enemies restores 1 HP to every Ghost in the room;
- [New] Mardan is a new merchant that will provide abilities to level up your weapons and remove weapon bonuses;
- Mardan has a chance to appear in secret rooms on Solar Ruin;

Update Plan




Dear players,

Metaverse Keeper has been out for more than a week now. During this time we have received a lot of feedback and optimization suggestions from the players. We are very grateful to all friends who care and support Metaverse Keeper. Because of you, we believe that this game will only get better with time.

Since the EA release, we have introduced several updates to the game based on feedback provided by the players. These adjustments include: appropriately reduced difficulty of the game, optimized early-game experience, optimized server-side code, number of fixes aimed at disconnection-reconnection problems. You can give Metaverse Keeper another try to see if it will give you a better experience.

Right now we are working on several updates to the game.

We plan to balance the game's difficulty and controls in the initial adjusting phase. For example:

- Add difficulty options;
- Optimize the resource allocation in the multiplayer mode.
- Allow enabling/disabling of aim-assist.


We plan to introduce some game-related balance in the second phase. For example:

- Add multi-directional attacks;
- Decrease cooldown of the Evade abilities;
- Optimize variety of monsters simultaneously present in the same rooms.


At the same time we're working on:

- Continuous optimization of resource acquisition and related content in multiplayer;
- Continuous optimization of local and online co-ops.


Since some of the above adjustments will involve working with a lot of numbers related to weapons, chips and monster, it will take us some time to balance them out properly.

At the same time, we hope to maintain close communication and interaction with the players during the balancing process. We're planning to open a new beta branch of the game and invite you to participate in the internal beta tests, for those who would love to experience the latest updates first-hand. We will appreciate all kind of feedback.
