‘Catch the King’ is back! The exciting card game will test your little grey cells, offering rewards for your skill in the form of valuable Bronze, Silver and Golden King’s Loot. Hunt down monsters to collect King Cards, or pick up the Card Packs in the item shop – get started straight away!

Starting the Game Hunt down monsters to collect King Cards. Together 25 King Cards make up a King Deck, with which you can play a game of Catch the King. The Card Packs in the item shop also contain lots of King Cards.
Aim of the Game Reveal as many cards as possible and collect points. Catch the king in one go on the very last move to pick up 100 points at once. If you earn at least 10 points, you can redeem a prize at the end of the game.
You can wager up to 5 King Decks each time you play, earning the same number of chests in reward. Please note: The number of cards you play with is fixed; it is not influenced by the number of decks you wager. Once the game has started, you cannot reclaim the King Decks you have wagered.
How to Play
You always start with the lowest card. An arrow indicates which card can be selected.
By clicking on the card it will appear in the 'My Card' slot. In subsequent turns, cards of the same value will be moved automatically.
Turn over any face-down card on the game board and compare it to your own.
If your card is greater, you will receive points equal to the value of the revealed card and you can turn over another card on the board.
If the cards are the same value, you receive the points and your turn is over. Play continues with a new card from your deck.
If your card's value is lower, you don't receive any points. Your turn is over and play continues with a new card.
If your card is a 5 and there is a face-down 5 neighbouring the card you reveal, your card will be captured. Your turn is over and you don't receive any points.
If your card is the king (K) and you catch the king on the board in exactly one move, you receive 100 points. The game ends after this move.
Bingo! If you reveal all cards in a row, you receive 10 extra points.
If you've earned at least 10 points, you can collect your prize by clicking on 'Your Reward'.

Please note
More King Decks may be found among the King's Loot. Make sure to open the prize before the end of the event, as all King Cards and Decks will then disappear and you'll come away empty-handed.
If you log out or leave the map while playing Catch the King, you'll forfeit your reward.
Update 20.2 – Power of the Cards
Time for new action-packed battles! In the next big update, discover the card achievement system. Plus you’ll also receive two powerful new skills suited to the reworked leadership skill for playing in groups. There will also be some convenient improvements to Auto-Hunting.
Here's what's in store:
Card Achievements Collect Monster Cards and profit from strong bonuses – with the update you can receive great boosts from combining certain cards.
You can access the new system via the Monster Card window (keyboard shortcut “J” in the standard setting) Collecting the cards works exactly as it did before. However, you can now use up your cards to claim achievements or upgrade. To do so, collect all the cards of an achievement list with enough stars. Once an achievement is claimed, you can activate it any time to take advantage of its bonus. The more stars an achievement has the strong its effect will be. There are dungeon achievements and open world achievements for the open world.
You can choose which achievement bonus you want to activate, but there is a maximum limit to the number of bonuses which can be activated. All activated bonuses apply to all of an account’s characters across the server.
Leadership and New Skills Will you be inspired by your leader’s latest lofty goals – or are you, yourself, the charismatic leader? With the new skills Charisma and Inspiration either could be the case! The skills are available for characters of any class and can be improved with the familiar skill Leadership using books. The Leadership skill has also been improved.
Leadership You can now assign roles to your group members starting at level 5 instead of level 10 as before. And you also have access to all the roles from the beginning – however, the number of players you can give roles to is limited, and the number of duplicate roles you can assign at one time increases with your skill level.
Charisma This skill helps you when you are leading a group. It reflects back a portion of the bonuses to you for the different roles you assigned to your group members. If you assign a group member as a blocker, for example, not only the HP of the blocker increases, but so does your own to a smaller extent. The bonuses you win increase with your charisma level and the size of your group – the higher your level in charisma and the larger the group, the more you will receive of the respective leader bonuses. You can increase this skill with books:
Book 1: Charisma of a Rookie – available from Metin stones
Book 2: Charisma of an Adept – available in Redux dungeons, Nemere’s Watchtower and in the Zodiac Temple
Book 3: Charisma of an Expert – can be crafted by Baek-Go in the city
Inspiration This skill is useful if you are assigned a role by the leader. It increases the bonuses you earn through the role. The better developed your **inspiration** is, the stronger the bonuses you receive this way. This means that an attacker who has already gained a number of levels in this skill will benefit more from this role than someone who hasn’t levelled up this skill. You can increase your inspiration with books:
Book 1: Inspiration of a Rookie – available from Metin stones
Book 2: Inspiration of an Adept – available in Redux dungeons, Nemere’s Watchtower and in the Zodiac Temple
Book 3: Inspiration of an Expert – can be crafted by Baek-Go in the city
Convenient Auto-Hunting Numerous improvements make for an efficient, care-free Auto-Hunting experience – during Auto-Hunting, your character is better at finding their way to the target, gets stuck less and attacks the closest enemies first. Not even Metin stones are safe from it now! You will now find more slots for potions and skills in the premium version. Additional items like the Bravery Cape, for example, can now be used automatically. A new automatic resurrection feature rounds off this comfort pack.

Update 20.0 - The Elemental Realm
Time for new action-packed battles! Explore the mysterious Elemental Realm and use powerful set bonuses to improve your equipment – all in the next big update. Here's what's in store:
The Elemental Realm Enter the Elemental Realm if you dare and seize the power of the primal forces! You can enter the Elemental Realm from level 90 for a 5,000,000 Yang entrance fee via a portal on the new continent – that usually means you'll need to fight your way past the terrible Hydra first.
Nature spirits of the 6 elements await you in the Elemental Realm. The rules are a bit different here than in the rest of the world: Teleport items won't work, and if you fall in battle you'll immediately leave this wondrous place. But succeed in battle here and you'll be collecting a rich bounty of materials that you can use to apply brand new set effects to your equipment.
Plateau of Primal Forces Can you withstand the ultimate challenge on the plateau? You might find a Primal Force Ring during your time in the Elemental Realm. With this jewellery and a bit of luck you can go to the Plateau of Primal Forces where the most powerful elemental lords meet.
It's not a place for the faint-hearted – if you don't have a Medal of Primal Force from the Elemental Realm to protect yourself, your HP will drop constantly. You can also hunt down other players on the plateau to reduce the damage you take. The plateau is the only place you can find the royal and majestic shards you need as materials to add the most powerful set effects.
Set Effects for your Equipment There's a new way to upgrade your equipment as of the 20.0 Update: adding set effects. You'll find set smiths near the harbour statue who will apply 1 of 5 set effects to your equipment.
Powerful Set Bonuses You can combine equipment that has a set effect to get yourself some set bonuses. Just equip 2 or 3 pieces of equipment with the same set effect. Here are the bonuses you can get: **Holy Set Bonus** * 2 pieces: +500 HP, +5% EXP * 3 pieces: +1500 HP, +15% EXP **Glorious Set Bonus** * 2 pieces: +500 HP, +3% movement speed * 3 pieces: +1500 HP, +7% movement speed **Chivalric Set Bonus** * 2 pieces: +500 HP, +1% strength against monsters * 3 pieces: +500 HP, +5% strength against monsters **Royal Set Bonus** * 3 pieces: +2500 HP, +10% magic/melee attack, +5% movement speed **Majestic Set Bonus** * 3 pieces: +3500 HP, +15% magic/melee attack, +7% movement speed ## Adding Set Effects Restrictions to adding set effects: * Only for weapons, helmets, armour level 75+ * The item must be upgraded by at least +7 – this level will remain after you've successfully added a set effect * Attempting to add a bonus may fail. This will not damage your equipment. You will also need various materials to add a set effect: * Helmet, Armour, or Weapon Set Design * Level II Armour, Weapon, or Helmet Shards with the effect you want * Yang * Gaya
Materials You can find set designs in the Elemental Realm. You can also find helmet, armour and weapon shards there. You can also use a certain number of level I shards and some Yang to upgrade to a level II shard. Get both levels of holy, glorious, and chivalric shards as drops from the residents of the Elemental Realm.
Level II royal and majestic shards can only be found on the Plateau of Primal Forces. There is no level I for these two best kinds of shards – you can craft them from level II chivalric or royal shards.
If you want to add a different set effect to a piece of equipment that already has a set effect, you will need to delete the item's set effect first.
New 6th & 7th Bonuses You can fill your final bonus slots with numerous new bonuses! So, for example, you could use them to improve your resistances, which will be especially useful in the Elemental Realm.
It's also easier to get the fragments you need to add the 6th & 7th bonuses. For example, after the update you'll have access to useful chests at the Zodiac Merchant in Gaya Market, and at the harbour statue.
