  • After reaching the bottom of the Caves, you must make it back to town before getting the final cutscene
  • Adjusted the cutscene at the bottom of the cave
  • The consumable treasure tracker items will show their remaining time on a bar near the health bar
  • Reworked the Movement and Jump systems
  • Removed the drop item option while using a shop. Stop littering in the store!
  • Cleaned up jump animations
  • Fixed bug where item info would sometimes be listed when you have no items selected.
  • Fixed bug that would prevent a pickaxe from breaking

Change log

  • The townsfolk got bored of standing still and will now wander about the town.
  • The townsfolk will now look at Lesath when she is near instead of waiting until she talks to them
  • Added a new platforming room to the Sandstone caves
  • The sound effect volume sliders have been split into 2. One for UI, one for the rest of the sound effects.
  • Consumable items will now default to the hotbar when picked-up / purchased
  • Cumulo can no longer be caught in the air
  • Cleaned up Cumulo thrown animations
  • The water now has ripples when Lesath moves through it.
  • Fixed bug where items could be cloned when using a controller
  • Fixed bug where consumable items wouldn't flip if you tried to pick one up with a full inventory
  • The treasures in the Crystal Cave lost land will now appropriately show up on radar with the treasure tracker.

Change log

  • Cave-ins in the deeper depths should be much more intense than the earlier sections
  • Adjusted the sizes of depths 4 and 5 to not be as cavernous
  • Added another lava area to the cave
  • Cave-in rocks hurt a little more
  • Adjusted cave-ins so when they spread there is a slight delay between new rocks falling
  • Increased range Aircleansers can effect poison gas from
  • The pop-up dialog in the cave will no longer stop Lesath's movement

  • Fixed issue that made it so Lost Lands didn't always generate
  • Completed quests now have a star next to them in the quest list
  • Fixed bug that would make light granting equipment only give weak light until unequipped and re-equipped when reentering the cave.

1.0.3 Update

Change Log:

  • Torches now provide more light in their range
  • Digging is now faster
  • Pickaxes now deal more splash damage when digging, but have less durability
  • Changed up the Danger Detection gloves. They will now warn of dangers by making a sound and placing them on the compass like a radar
  • Lesath will now comment in the cave when you enter new depths or enter a Lost Land
  • The graves in the graveyard are digable again. Chances to dig up poison or treasure
  • Jewelrocks will no longer drop rocks and jewels when they fall, only jewels now.
  • More treasures should generate in the deeper areas.
  • The Ice area will no longer have cave-ins, but watch out for floor breaking out from under Lesath
  • The base version of the village well will now generate torches when the player faints
  • When the Fountain fountain generates waymarkers it will now give 20 instead of 1
  • Fixed bug that made it so ropes didn't always extend their full distance
  • You can no longer faint in the tutorial
  • The catalog scrolling will now correctly recenter on the item you select on the list

  • You are now able to place ropes while climbing a rope
  • Fixed issues that would make waymarkers and dropped items to vanish in the cave

1.0.1 Update


With this patch, caves from older versions wont work, this patch will remove your old cave and give you a new one. We wont be doing this again to old caves in the future unless there is something major.

Change log:

  • Replaced the room at the bottom of the cave with a New Lost Land
  • Ending cutscene has been added to the new lost land
  • Made it easier to see the path to jump out of pits in the tutorial
  • The treasure radar dots glow brighter or dimmer based on how close you are to them vertically
  • Fixed issue causing some cave decos to fly
  • Optimized animal portraits
  • Fixed bug that a Lost Land in the lava area wouldn't always generate
  • Made an exit to skip the tutorial platforming puzzle

Leaving Early Access - Version 1.0

We've been in Early Access for a little more than a year and now Miasma Caves is leaving early access! Thanks for everyone who followed along with us.

We're not done working on Miasma Caves. Our focus going forward will be to add more variety to the game, more Lost Lands, townsfolk, quests, animals, and achievements in the coming months.

Thank you all again. We hope you'll keep with us as we improve Miasma Caves and beyond.

  • Ice caverns have been now found in the caves
  • The buildings will now look better when they are upgraded
  • A new lost land has appeared in the caves. There are rumors are of a frozen lake
  • Added an UI effect to flash when taking damage that isn't from time
