Next week (the week of the 13th of March), there will be no update for Might & Magic SHOWDOWN.
Never fear, though! This just means our next update will be even bigger. We’re aware of some concerns within the community that there a) isn’t enough PvE content and b) a distinct lack of players queueing for PvP. What we’re working on is specifically designed to tackle these issues, amongst others, with one aspect of the update being focused on the multiplayer PvP side of the game, and the other being a fully fledged solo campaign mode.
We can’t share any more information about this with you right now, but keep your eyes peeled for more sneak peeks!

We’ve added Stars next to the Campaign posters to indicate the number of proving ground challenges for each missions.
Once you’ve selected a specific mission and you are in the DIORAMA view, you can use the arrows next to the title of the mission to see the different Proving Ground challenges.
A checkmark has been added to the rewards that have been collected by the players.
NEW SERVER IN ASIA
We’ve added a new server located in Singapore to help lag issues for Asian players.
This is only a first step. We are working on a solution to allow players to connect to our servers without having to use a VPN. We believe this solution will resolve most of our connectivity issues.

Feedback Update Feb 10
Greetings Heroes!
We're extremely grateful for all of your feedback and have some updates on our priorities in response to what we've heard! We have three items on our docket that we're currently focused on and we hope that resolving these will lead to growth in our player base. Indeed, we can see that some of the issues we face could be helped by simply having more players, so you may notice a theme in our objectives below.
SERVER ISSUES IN CHINA
We're working on a vanguard solution to get this sorted as quickly as possible - essentially, the plan is to open a second set of servers in China specifically for players in Asia. While this will reduce the impact of lag in that territory, connectivity issues may still exist and our player base will be divided between North American/European servers and Asian servers. We still have work to do on this front, but we’ve got a few ideas we’ll tackle over the next few weeks.
CORE COMBAT
We're actively working on refining our combat system. The comments you've provided us on balancing are extremely useful and we expect to implement changes with our next patch (ETA: Thursday Feb 16). The team's objective here is to add more intrinsic fun to the combat system overall as well as provide more strategic/tactical maneuvers to engage you during battle. We’re definitely looking at Murazel’s performance in PvP and will be addressing it. We’ll keep iterating on both balance and core combat over the next few patches, so keep that feedback coming!
PVE CONTENT
Simply put, we've heard your requests for additional PvE content and are exploring ways we can streamline its delivery.
In addition to those three priorities, we're still working on delivering new miniatures that you've requested, like Asad (pictured below) who we hope to add in next week's patch!
Once we've made some progress on these three items, we'll look towards doing some more outreach to try to aggressively grow our playerbase, which should help alleviate long queue times.

PATCH NOTES - 01/02/2017

Here are the patch notes for today's update! You'll find all of the following in the game once the update is complete:
New Game Mode: Skirmish 1.0
3v3 and 4v4 Skirmish is now available in the DUEL tab.
This is a first iteration of the game mode. We will shape the skirmish mode based on community feedback.
Hero Control 1.0
Players can now move the hero freely across the board during combat.
We have 2 control options for the player’s movement (available in OPTIONS)
CONTROL 1: Left-click will move the character on the board. Left-click HOLD will pan the camera. Right-click will rotate the camera.
CONTROL 2: Left-click or Left-click hold will move the character on the board. Right-click will pan the camera. Middle mouse-click will rotate the camera. This will impact camera movement in the Citadel as well.
This is a first iteration of the hero controls. We will expand on the hero controls based on community feedback.
Visit Citadel 1.0
You can now visit another player’s Collection from your own Collection menu by clicking the ‘’VISIT CITADELS’’ button.
The Collection will be displayed around the citadel with the SKINS, POSES and POSITIONS created/picked by the player.
You can visit citadels by entering a player name, by looking for the last player you’ve met ONLINE or by clicking the RANDOM PLAYER button.
In the next iteration, we will add the option to ‘’LIKE’’ a citadel and create a LEADERBOARD for the best Collections!
Player SKINS are now saved in JPG format to allow faster loads. This comes at the expense of a (small) compression.
Energy Management For Creatures
We’ve changed the way ENERGY works for Creatures. All creatures now have 10 ENERGY points. The Energy is now based on the number of CONDITIONS (Command Lines) a Creature has – no longer related to the spells.
Tabletop Camera
We’ve added a new TABLETOP camera that showcases the entire playing area. We’ve made modifications to the control of the Hero Camera based on your control options. You can now toggle the cinematic camera on a separate button.
CAMERA CONTROL: Space Bar will center camera on the HERO. ALT will switch the camera between Tabletop and Hero Camera.
Daily Challenges
Daily challenges now give a LOOT BOX to players upon completion.
Challenges are for PvP and SKIRMISH.
Connection Issues
Added DEBUG INFO to help us understand/debug network & latency issues players have in different countries.
Fixed issues where the players were getting a message ‘’OPPONENT LEFT’’ in PvE matches. This issue would arise when the players were losing their connection to the server. A proper message will now be displayed if this issue happens in the future.

Greetings once again Heroes!
Thanks as always for your continued support and enthusiasm!
Before we get into our planned changes, we’d like to take a moment to call out a few players who have demonstrated outstanding support!
Dead God led the discussion on turn-based combat, and even though we won’t be moving in that direction, this discussion gave us the opportunity to further clarify our vision!
Elveone provided some of the most detailed feedback very early on.
Xunthraedor and Banezilla have been hugely supportive and clear in their feedback.
Similarly, beyond being #1 in the leaderboards, WeTheNorth has delivered such detail with an intense understanding of the mechanics – the team is both extremely impressed and humbled by the attention WeTheNorth has given us!
Now, without further ado, here are the things we are currently working on, in a bit greater detail!
Steam Trading Cards are coming.
Energy –
o We listened to the feedback regarding the use of Energy to limit the use of abilities
o Basically, it means that each Creature will have up to 10 possible slots for instructions
Visit Citadels –
o A new feature that will be available through the main game menu
o You will likely be able to choose who to visit from a list of “last met” players, search by name or at random
o You’ll see a players Collection Board, exactly as they have their figurines placed on the board and in the poses they have selected.
o You will be able to examine their paint jobs up close
o You will not be able to change anything about the player’s board – you can only look
o We will improve the feature in later updates and welcome any feedback!
Player Controls –
o Introduces ‘click to move’ for the Hero character
o We are looking for your feedback on these changes!
Camera Improvements –
o New camera angle focusing on entire board to give full view of all action
o Mid-range zoom camera now focuses on Hero by default
Skirmish Mode –
o Essentially solo battles against AI bots
o currently focused on 4v4 version, but could expand
o Will award in-game currency and xp
o Gives you an alternative path to continue earning progress
Skirmish Mode may take a bit longer, but otherwise, we are hoping to have these changes available for you next week. We’ll have full patch notes once these changes are ready to go live.
We have a request for those of you who are experiencing latency or poor connection while playing – please contact support.ubi.com so we can track the details of your account. This will help us reproduce and understand where the problem is. We are planning to add some debug tools to give us better insight, but could still use your help in improving this situation.
