Twitch Drops

  • You can now link your Mini Royale Account to your Twitch Account. This will be used to grant Twitch Drops.
  • You can see pending drops in the Twitch Overlay (Main Menu bottom right) and claim them there.
  • We will do our first public Drop Campaign for the steam next fest in ~2 Weeks.

  • Added different complexities for encryption - this increased performance for the game

Patch 0.35.0

Reports

  • When you report a player, a moderator will review the footage and may issue a sanction. You will receive a notification if a player you reported is sanctioned within the same category (e.g., Text Chat).
  • Cross-category notifications (e.g., reporting for Text Chat, sanction for Cheating) are not handled.


Party

  • Fixed a bug where the Party Leader would join the game but other party members would not.
  • Updated the way the party is synced to reduce concurrency bugs.
  • The matchmaking status is now fully synced with clients, so they can also see the estimated queueing time, regions, etc.


Localization

  • Added more languages with Machine Translations.
  • The goal is to have all current localizations professionally proofread before early access.
  • Fixed numerous instances of text in-game that were not localized or were localized incorrectly.


Matchmaking

  • Adjusted matchmaking to function effectively even with low player counts.
  • Stress-tested matchmaking and servers with 20,000 virtual players.

Matchmaking

  • Fixed a bug that caused you to join a game server that was not your target ping range
  • Added a hint for high mmr players that finding a game will take longer. This will get better once we do bigger playtests
  • Fixed a bug that Autofill settings would not be send to the server properly
  • Worked on the party following for matchmaking. If you experience the bug where the leader finds a game but the members do not follow, please gather all logs of the party and share them in the discord.
  • Adjusted matchmaking rules to slowly widen the mmr range


Movement

  • Fixed a bug that would sometimes cancel grappling right after starting (when jumping or falling down)


Localization

  • We started the localization process. This means we added some languages as text with AI translated text. This will be proofread by humans before early access and we will add more languages

  • We went through all the sounds and tried to match the volume better.

Matchmaking

  • Added a soft Skill Based Matchmaking. It is based on your MMR that has already been tracked. We don’t want to hide the SBMM like other games, we will make everything transparent. It is currently configured to separate top players from new players/noobies, but you will still have a wide range of players. [MMR Range: 0-1000, Initial SBMM Range: 500, New Player MMR: 200]
  • You can see your relative Match Difficulty at the start of the game. That means when you have 300 MMR and more players in the lobby have something like 600 MMR, it will indicate that as a harder match for you. This will also affect MMR calculation - you don’t have to perform that well in harder games and the other way around.
  • You can also see the match difficulty in the Game Summary


Performance

  • We are now using a more modern compiler, resulting in a significant CPU performance improvement. If you notice any degradation please hit us up.


Map

  • Map collision fixes for climbing
  • Fixed some map glitches


Misc

  • Fixed inconsistent stats for perks in tutorial & ingame
  • We emulated the matchmaking with 5000 players in 1 Minute to make sure the scaling works well. This also helped us emulate different SBMM settings
