This bi-week features our longest changelog yet, mostly focused on new Condo features! βοΈπ We hope to soon get back to more minigame development, but Condos needed it more right now. π«‘
Check the huge changelog at the bottom of this post for the full list of changes!
If you already owned a Condo, your 2x default Paintings have now been replaced by 2x Plaques!*
If you have badges unlocked, Plaques will automatically showcase them on spawning in.
If you don't have any badges, go unlock some!
If you have more badges than Plaques, go unbox some Plaques in the upcoming Furniture Crates!
β οΈ We've noticed some people's old Condo save files not correctly replacing the Paintings with Plaques, so we've added a "Reset Condo" button to the Condo settings tab to allow you to still get them!
Manipulator Modes!
Besides making the Matter Manipulator better in every way possible, we've also added many new methods to manipulate the heck out of your Condo, let's check them out:
Distancing
Press E and move your mouse up and down while holding an object to distance it to and fro!
Rotating
Press R and move your mouse around while holding an object to rotate it, and add Shift to snap to 45 degree angles!
Scaling
Press G and move your mouse up and down while holding an object to scale it, and add Shift to snap to 0.5x, 1x or 2x scale!
Darkened Playerlist Deaths!
Dang, that headline sounds dark... ππ What I meant is players who have been beaten in a minigame now show up in the playerlist as darker entries, allowing you to easily see who's still in-game with a quick press of the [Tab]!
We've added the first pass of Condo customization in the form of physics! By using the new Matter Manipulator (equippable with 'Q' by default) you can move your furniture around. Or even smash it around! I'm not your dad! π₯Έ
The Matter Manipulator is still far from finished, and currently offers barely any control over the furniture. We'll be working to improve it to gmod-physics-gun level of control in due time. βοΈ
β οΈYour Condo is saved after changes, so if you ruin your Condo, it's currently not very easy to fix it! β οΈBy default, friends aren't allowed to manipulate your Condo, but you can change that in the new Safety settings tab!
New Moving Parkour Panic Platforms!
Get ready to re-learn Parkour Panic, because moving platforms will throw your muscle memory in the bin! It's still possible to avoid moving platforms, however a skilled player would be wise to make use of them. High risk, high reward! π«‘
New Safety Settings Tab
For your safety, we've added the Safety tab to your settings! Here you can access settings that will allow you to automatically fully hide chats by & names from strangers, but also the setting to allow your friends to manipulate your Condo or not! Great for streamers! π₯
Improved Scorebar Visibility
In certain games it was really hard to find yourself on the leaderboard, *cough* Summit Scramble *cough*. π
Have an epic day, or an average one! No pressure. ππΌ

Bi-Weekly Update
This entire bi-week we've worked on adding a single major feature to the game, although in a very early state! βοΈβοΈ
Check the changelog at the bottom of this post for the full list of changes!

NEW Condos!
The start of an entirely new aspect of Minigame Madness: Player housing!
In Condos you'll be able to create whatever your heart desires and do whatever you like! Minigame Madness now got its very own sandbox experience!
Play minigames to get rich on πͺ Coins and π Gems, and spend them to upgrade your house into a mansion, museum, theater or even a theme park!
We're heavily inspired by Garry's Mod, and hope to make a worthy competitor in the physics sandbox arena, in form of Condos!
β οΈ Currently Condos aren't customizable, and Furniture Crates aren't yet purchasable, but in the upcoming updates we'll put more and more customization in, and we love to hear your ideas as well!
Reduced Case Prices!
To prepare for the upcoming most-expensive Furniture Crates, we've reduced all original case prices to make the average player more likely to ever be able to afford a Condo + furniture! Have fun opening more cases than ever before! ππ«‘
Our very first minigame vote has come to a close! Let's see the results! (Read about the minigames in detail in our previous post.)
π₯ At the third place, we have π Royal Rumble π with 8.3% of the votes!
π₯ At the second place, we have π₯Ά Crumble Crisis π₯Ά which got exactly 25% of the votes!
π₯ And at the FIRST PLACE, we have β’οΈ Parkour Panic β’οΈ with 66,7% (2/3!) of the votes!
Congratulations to everyone who voted for Parkour Panic! π₯³π₯³π₯³
It's been so exciting to involve the community in shaping our game in such a big way, and we plan to continue to do this more often. If you want to participate whenever the next minigame vote happens, join the Minigame Madness Discord! β€οΈ
V0.6 includes our BRAND NEW solo-able WIP minigame called Parkour Panic! β’οΈ
We want to add as many different types of games to Minigame Madness as possible, and Parkour Panic stands out as our very first TRUE parkour game! Acid will slowly rise inside a hexagonal container, jump up on randomly generated parkour pieces to avoid dissolving in acid! π€’
As with all WIP minigames, Parkour Panic is very early in development and will receive big improvements and changes over the coming weeks, yet players have already told us they're enjoying it big time! π
Improved Robot Ruckus
As you may have noticed, we haven't finalized production on Robot Ruckus yet, meaning we've now got 2 WIP minigames simultaneously for the first time in Minigame Madness history! Because of this, we've updated the look of WIP minigame thumbnails to allow you to easily distinguish them:
Furthermore, we've improved Robot Ruckus performance heavily and we believe it's sufficient now. We've also tried to fix kiting/cheesing again by making the pesky robots just a little smarter, again. We've also made them feel a little more dangerous by changing their blinking to sound more mechanical. π€
Robot Ruckus got at least one big feature left before we're considering it finalized, stay tuned! π§
We've also added a reminder in your friendslist: β οΈ All previous inviters and invitees will get πͺ15.000 (or more) retroactively on logging into the game. β οΈ Invite vouchers are only sharable & claimable by Paid players.
Improved Robot Ruckus
Check changelog for full lengthy list of changes. π΅βπ«
Crumble Crisis is spleef/TNT run! While running over ice the ground will dissapear from below you. Try not to fall in the cracks caused by others, and survive the longest to win! π₯Άπ§
OPTION B: Royal Rumble
Royal Rumble is Explosive Exchange & Summit Scramble's baby! One player holds the castle's massive crown, and this person gets points for every second that they're holding it. Steal the crown by walking into them! Imagine an entire lobby running after a single player! ππ
OPTION C: Parkour Panic
Parkour Panic is our first TRUE parkour minigame! Acid will slowly rise inside a cylindrical container, jump up on randomly generated parkour pieces to avoid dissolving in acid! π¨π€’
β οΈ Poll will close 2 hours before our next bi-weekly update! (in 2 weeks)
Besides spectating whoever & whatever you like, it's also great for taking pictures and breaking the laws of physics by clipping through the ground! β οΈβ οΈ
Improved Friends List
It's often been difficult to find time to compare your stats with friends, because when they're online you're likely competing with them in minigames instead. π€
Your friends' profiles are now ALWAYS visible in your friends list, no matter whether they're online or not, giving you sufficient time to analyze who's the best at shooting robots in the face! π€π«
Minigame AI Training has Started!
This update and coming updates might feel a little bit smaller, as we're working towards potentially the biggest feature yet: competitive AI bots, that are at the level of human skill.
Because Minigame Madness offers so many types of genres, and will continue to expand in genres, the difficulty of programming bots manually for all minigames is simply an impossible task!
That's why we've decided to attempt to train bots using machine-learning neural networks:
While they're not very intelligent yet, we hope to someday have intelligent competitive bots that can be automatically trained on whatever minigame we release!
β οΈ This will be an ongoing behind-the-scenes effort. Bots are not yet in-game, and won't be for some time. It's possible that they'll never reach a state that we're happy with. It's a risky feature to develop, with potentially high reward. We'll keep you updated in our news articles!

also we fixed the paragliding robot jumpscare β οΈ (rip in peace) Credit: @DarioBrosTV
Rank Rewards
Yes indeed! Rank Ups now reward πGems!
β = π10 ββ = π20 βββ = π30 ββββ = π40 βββββ = π50 ------------------------+ That's π150 to be earned PER minigame!
β οΈ Don't worry if you've already done some Rank Ups, on logging into this update you will receive all the πGems you would've earned retroactively! π€β¨
Solo Highscores
To inspire solo LVL1s to get gud, we've added an incentive for them in the form of solo highscores! When playing a survival-style minigame solo, the game now keeps track of your highest time survived, and will notify you when you beat it with a chat message: It will also tell you to last 90 seconds for your very first Rank Up! π₯Ίπ (only if you haven't reached β1 yet!)
β οΈ Because of this we have changed the first Rank Up! to require a win, and we've changed solo play to count as a win after 90 seconds lasted.
Gem Rebalancing
Exactly like we've done with πͺCoins and βXP a few updates ago, minigame wins now reward more πGems in smaller servers. (up to 4x the old amount!)
β οΈ It's still beneficial to play in bigger servers, but you're less penalized for playing in smaller ones.
Monarch Badge
A NEW biggest, bestest badge has been added: The Monarch badge will be unlocked after staying on top of a leaderboard for 3 consecutive days! All Monarchs who have done so in the past have gotten the badge retroactively. π
New Hub Signage
We also attached a sign to the Shop because some players were unable to find it! π
Disco Disorder Rebalanced
Disco Disorder was too hard for LVL1s and too easy for LVL10+ players, therefore we've slowed the speed at the beginning by 25% and increased the speed at the end by 25%, middle remained the same.
β οΈ One thing to note is that currently when on higher ping servers, it might feel a little worse than last update, because you can now actually tell how long it takes for the bullet to exit your gun. We'll be fixing this in a future update! π€
Have an epic day! Or an average one. No pressure! ππΌ

Credit: @Blammo & @CaeTheCow
Robot Ruckus
V0.5 includes our BRAND NEW solo-able WIP minigame called Robot Ruckus! π€
In this minigame you will have to dodge & shoot your way through hordes of robots. Do NOT touch them or you'll get electrocuted! π€―β‘
As with all WIP minigames, Robot Ruckus is very early in development and will receive big improvements and changes over the coming weeks, yet players have already told us they're enjoying it big time! π
πͺ² Wanna get the Bug Tester badge? New minigames are fertile grounds for bugs, so keep your eye out!
Improved Ranks
Our mysterious rank system can be REALLY mysterious, so we decided to help you out by adding gray partial rank stars: you're closer to that Rank Up! than you think! πͺ
Now you can see your progress adding up, without guesswork! π§
also we fixed boat camping!!!1 πβ οΈ Credit: @Blammo, @CaeTheCow & @GabTinte
Bounty Battle Is (Kinda) Finished!
After many versions with ugly maps, low FPS, crashes and crazy bugs, Bounty Battle has finally become a grown-up minigame with the quality one would expect from adult minigames! πͺππͺ
1st-person implementation and adding spectator cams are the last remaining tasks. βοΈ
Bounty Battle wasn't an easy minigame to develop, but with the tech done, the entire game is now more capable at rendering huge amounts of Mubs, which our next minigame will directly benefit from! π
Then What's The Next Minigame!?
Next bi-weekly update (V0.5) will include the first pass of our upcoming exciting shooter(!) minigame, which is above all solo-able, for all you individualists!! β‘π€
Rebalanced Rewards!
Speaking of individualists, we've rebalanced the reward system to be less harsh towards you lot. Smaller playercounts now get rewarded closer to full server playercounts. (Up to 4x the old rewards!) π°π€

We're ending the year with a smaller QoL update as we've taken a bit of a holiday break, but the update is still very important! π§βοΈ
Credit: @WizzDude
Improved Netcode!
With players all over the world playing together, we've had to improve our netcode drastically.
In Sumo Shamble & Summit Scramble you should no longer be able to walk through players without registering a hit as much. This works up to 300ms ping. This issue was so bad it even happened at low pings, so it should feel a lot better now everywhere. π
Disco Disorder should now play like 0ms up to 300ms ping! To celebrate we've added a new Dance called 'Platforms', in which your parkouring skills are put to the test. π₯³
Blazing Bullets should roughly play like 0ms up to βms ping, thanks to the great predictability of this gamemode.
Streak Leaderboard!
Show off your streaking highscores on the new leaderboard in the Hub! π₯
If you lose your streak you will keep your highest position, no worries. π
β οΈ PS: an additional 'Current Streak' leaderboard will be added later! π€«
Bounty Battle Optimization Fixed!
The Bounty Battle optimization we talked about last week has been fixed! Enjoy a huge increase in bounty hunting performance. β€οΈ
