Update 1.20
Hi all,
Here's what's new in version 1.20:
Fixes:
Fighter rankings update properly when editing a fighter to a new weightclass. This should resolve crashing issues related to this in new games.
No longer need to hit enter or deselect skills when editing a fighter (values were not sticking in some cases before.)
Fighter stamina can no longer be set to negative numbers.
Several fighter perks now save properly on fighter creation when selected.
Music toggle now works properly.
Fighter profile image scaling on event creation.
Nationality flags on event creation and rank screens.
Fighter retirement mail now displays properly.
Height now saves properly when editing a fighter.
Changes:
Order of skills on edit and create fighter page.

I also alphabetized the list of nationalities to make it easier to go through, enabled an option that had been disabled by accident, and removed the US Flag icon that was mistakenly left in the list. Shown below:
Fixed custom fighter images not loading in fight stats screen. Fixed double clicking causing a crash on the stats screen back button.
I've also added fighter portraits for spectated fights (suggested by Varaosa) as shown below:
Additionally, there is now a bug report thread in the Steam discussions - that should have been added a long time ago! Please report any issues you find there.

Update 1.19
Hi all,
In this update, fighter retirement has been introduced to the game!
When a fighter turns 34, if they hit a losing streak of 3 fights they will now retire.
If they turn 47, they will retire. This seems like a good number that is pretty far past the point of realism and a good starting point for a firm retirement age. (May adjust this in the future)
New fighters will also generate every other month now so there will be a steady stream of up and comers to take their places.
This add some longevity to a playthrough and keep each game more fresh.

Update 1.18
Hey all,
Hope you're doing okay through this pandemic the world is going through right now. (Never thought I'd say that in an update.)
Here's a run down of what's new in version 1.18, it's a big one!
Changes to simulating time progressing
To sim forward in time, there is only one button now instead of the previous three (day, week, month) - once pressed it will automatically sim 1 day each second. There's two reasons for this:
• It was easy to miss mail messages before, which could mean missed fight contracts / fighter departure warnings etc. • Now you will be able to see fighter skills going up in real time (in the training screen and profile)
The only downside I can see to this method is getting to the next event - maybe you don't need to watch your fighter skills changing for a while.
If that's the case, you can go to the event preview screen and click 'Sim to Event' to simulate each day up to the event.
New art!
It's been a while since anyone has mentioned it, but when the game was released the fighter art was often regarded in a not so positive light. I didn't disagree, some of the 3D models looked like they'd cooked too long in the microwave.
I hired an artist to replace all of the portraits with more stylized fighters. I really like the new look, and it gives the game a unique style that works way better than trying to look realistic like before.
Skill indicators
If you simulate days while in the training screen, skills will now turn green briefly as they raise. Injuries will show up in red both here and on the fighter profile screen.
Fighter profile screen improvements
The fighter profile screen has had some minor improvements. I will probably revamp this screen entirely in the future, but for now it's a start.
There's now a training button here to take you directly to the training schedule for the fighter you are currently viewing.
Mail screen improvements
The mail screen has been completely revamped - it still functions the exact same, but looks much better than when I originally created it.
Event breakdown screen improvements
Not a total revamp, but similar to the mail screen I replaced some outdated elements I relied on when it was made.
Balance changes
Fatigue now reduces while a fighter is injured.
Bug fixes
Fixed possibility of gym initially starting with 0 fighters
What's next?
My next priority is improving the fighter database - adding retirement for fighters along with new ones coming up through the ranks. As always I'll be improving the playability where I can too.

Update 1.17
Hey all,
This one is a wall of text!
Update 1.17 revamps the finance system to make the game both more flexible AND have consequences based on your money management.
Previously, fighters and coaches could only be recruited if your monthly income was high enough – this was purely based off of income from classes, not from your money in the bank.
Now, you can make offers that as long as your total cash amount can support, they can go through without that arbitrary limitation. The new offer formula is income from classes + bank / 12
In addition to this, expenses are now being calculated by adding up your fighter and coach contracts, along with rent. (Previously, only fighter contracts and an arbitrary class expense were being calculated) If you cannot pay your expenses, your highest contract amount fighter will leave. If you run out of fighters, coaches will start leaving.
There will be a warning in the mail if a month starts and your total cash is lower than your expenses.
As a result of this, I bumped the starting money amount of money up from $10000 to $40000 to make it easier to get used to. I might change this later, depending on feedback.
Expenses used to be subtracted on an arbitrary date, they are now subtracted at the end of each month. Income is added on the first of each month.
To make tracking all of this data easier, I’ve added a finance breakdown modal that can be accessed from the gym screen. It will show you how much you’re paying for every fighter, coach, and rent. It will also show how much income you’re generating from fights and classes. (Income is also displayed as class income + monthly fight income on the main screen)
