Perpetual Motion! (an ongoing competition)
Greetings all you theives of Monaco!
Starting November 3rd, there will be an ongoing contest for Runners and Mappers to strut their stuff! So whether you're new to the game, or have been with us since the beginning, it can be your time to shine!
- - - - - Here is an overview of what will be happening - - - - -
There will be three seperate categories where Single-Player Runners, Multi-Player Teams, and Map Makers will all have a chance to win some pretty cool prizes, including: Monaco T-Shirts, Copies of Monaco to give to friends, and even Steam Cash!
Each week, One or Two Community maps from the Workshop (chosen semi-randomly) will be featured in game. Solo Runners and Teams will have 7 days to get their best time on these featured maps, and submit either a screen shot or video of this run to be enterred into that week's contest (more information provided on the forum about this).
At the end of every 4 week period, each featured map will then be enterred into the Mappers' Contest, in which the community will get the chance to vote for their favourite. The map with the most votes will be declared the winner, and the creator will have a choice between several grand prizes!
Everyone is elligible for this competition, so tell your friends, and get ready to WIN!

Our HUGE FREE UPDATE went out this morning, which includes the Linux port, a whole new Mini-Campaign, and the incredibly fun Zombie Mode!
Linux
The Linux port is, well, just that. Play on Linux! Yes, this means we will eventually make sure the game is playable on the Steam Box.
Monaco Origins
The Mini-Campaign is called Monaco Origins, and it tells the backstories of our eight naughty thieves. Each mission includes new features, such as key-doors, trophies, keys and cash that can be carried by NPCs, RPG Guards, and the new player class, the Blonde!
Zonaco: Your Flesh Is Mine
Zombie mode converts the entire original game into a zombie wasteland, with Bloaters and Wretches hungry for your CERVEAU...

The Gun Patch: Broken Windows and a Rocket Launcher
To celebrate the Summer Sale I've added a new gear type and added a new functionality to all projectile weapons!
RPG By popular request, I've added a rocket launcher to the game. Currently it's only available in the editor, but if we win our upcoming community vote as part of the Steam Summer Sale, we will add them to the campaign as well! So get out there and help us win that vote!
BROKEN WINDOWS The guns are not particularly useful in the later game, largely because they make so much noise. So I wanted to give them an additional secondary effect. Bullets now break windows, allowing you to walk through them when broken. Try out the shotgun in The Pickpocket's bank mission to do some real damage! Or use the crossbow to break a window silently. You can still hit guards through the windows as well.
